Jan 4, 2010Firstly, apologies if there is a similar thread - I did look around and did not find any specific one.
I bought an unlocked BB Storm 2 9550 from India (to be fair, it is a US Verizon BB Storm 2 9550 which has been unlocked). I used it for a week while I was in India on an Indian service provider (Airtel) and everything (email, bb messenger, browser, apps, etc) worked fine - the top right corner showed EDGE. It worked fully well in India.
Then I came to UK a few days ago and put my Vodafone UK sim in it; I sent the registeration request from the Host Routing Table menu (which was confirmed). I even registered my email on mobileemail.vodafone.net. Now the email is working fine and so is the BB Messenger. BUT I am unable to use the internet such as through the browser and the apps (facebook, bloomberg, time magazine, etc.). The top right corner says 3G (and sometimes GSM when I am on a call).I have spoken several times to the Vodafone tech staff and in the end they said that there was nothing they could do.
On the Vodafone tech staff's suggestions I have tried: deleting and reinstalling the service books (except provisioning), several battery pulls, I even tried putting back the old OS .320 (I currently have the leaked .428 version installed - in India my blackberry worked well on both versions).
Additional notes: I do not have the Vodafone Live! icon in my menu, My browser settings only show "hotspot browser" - there is no option as "internet browser" - I am guessing that will only appear when the bb internet starts working.I hope that is all the information you need.I will be very grateful if you can help me start the internet/gprs on my phone!
BB Storm2 9550/9520 :: Storm 2 Unable To See Homescreen
May 30, 2010I have a storm 2 9520. After charging my phone up today I have noticed an error, a very annoying error infact! I have done several battery pulls but I am unable to see my homescreen. Nothing I do loads up my homescreen. If I was to navigate I need to hold down the BB key or press the green button to make a call. Also I can not bring up any icons at all.

Sep 12, 2011i recently downloaded an app and today i deleted it, it then rebooted. when it restarted it came up on the screen " uncaught exception: application net_ rim_bb_ messaging_app(60) is not responding; process terminated " and give me the option to press ok but wont do anything . the screen has frozen and i have emails and messages and it wont let me into them. Nov 12, 2011i am using curve 9300 3G, I am unable to use Internet on my device. I am able to use my enterprise mails, personal mails, BBM, and other applications available in my handset. It is just that Internet does not work.. My OS is version 6 .another colleague of mine who is using OS version 5 had a similar problem but it got resolved after he changed browser settings in Advanced Options- browser- Default Browser configuration- changed from Blackberry browser to Internet Browser - after that again browser options and select all ( support Java script, allow java script pop ups, terminate slow running scripts, show images, use background images, support embedded media) after that Cache options, clear all ( content cache, pushed content, cookie chache) . There after he went to host routing table and register .. Post which after hard boot he was able to access Internet.My problem is my OS version is 6 and I do not have advanced options tab in my handset and hence I am unable to change settings.

Mar 27, 2010Today my nokia e63 ran out of battery charge and as I was in town there was no way I could charge it. As I got home put my phone on charge and turned it back on, after a few minutes I decided I would send a text until I realized my phone would not let me do so. I had full signal and have tried to send a text in multiple areas around the house where I have signal. My girlfriend is on the same network as me and is having no problems at all.
