BB Curve :: Can't Access Internet And BIS Is Not Connected
Feb 23, 2012A month ago my bbm ran out, they sent me a few texts saying we have tried and failed to take £5 for bbm (vodafone) i was then opted out of Blackberry services. Two days ago, i topped up £15 pounds rang them up and opted back in. They took my £5 and left me stranded, i cant access bbm or internet, when i login to blackberrys mobile site i get a pop up saying this "Your blackberry R internet service account is suspended or de-activated please contact 191" bla bla bla. Well i done that and they said they can't do anything about it. I followed the steps on vodafones troubleshooting i.e regerstering host etc* all failed .

Sep 3, 2015My internet connection on my Samsung Galaxy s5 shows that it is connected and strong - both at home and at work. However I cannot connect to the internet in either location.
I get a message that says DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET.
My laptop and other devices that connect to the WIFI are getting on the internet just fine. This problem just started this morning. I re-booted my router at home but that did not work. I eliminated my home network and then re-connected to it, but that did not work.

Apr 21, 2012my iphone 4 (verizon) is connected to my home wifi but it's not working! when i go on Internet is says that it cannot connect, same with any other app that requires internet. it has the wifi symbol and everything. what's weird is that when i turn off my wifi (then 3g symbol replaces the wifi symbol) i am able to connect perfectly! i've tried all i can think of to fix this. restoring, rebooting, turning off and on again, forgetting my network then connecting to it again but nothing works!

After that my phone will detect the wifi in my room and it will connect to the wifi, but no internet access. And the same time it is working fine with the wifi in my office. So i did the Factory data reset, but still its not working. My friends are using different android phones and they are able to access the internet, even I can use my laptop to connect to the wifi.

Jun 25, 2014I own an iPhone 3GS, and have recently upgraded it to iOS 6.1.6. I was able to connect to Wi-Fi using a Netgear Cable Modem with WiFi capability. But the internet service provider upgraded this equipment, replacing it with an ARRIS Touchstone Data Gateway DG1670 cable modem with Wi-Fi capability. Unfortunately, I have discovered that I'm unable to access the Internet while connected to Wi-Fi, while using my iPhone 3GS, running iOS 6.1.6. I am completely able to connect my MacMini, a smart-TV, and an iPhone 5 to this ARRIS device with Wi-Fi. Â
I have contacted my internet service provider and they tell me that the problem is with my iPhone 3GS, not with their equipment. We very meticulously went through all the troubleshooting steps, but to no avail. I have also read all the Apple Knowledge Base articles here about configuring an iPhone 3GS properly, and I have also followed Apple Knowledge Base articles concerning optimal configuration of an internet modem with Wi-Fi capability. Â
I like my iPhone 3GS, it works well, but now I cannot sync it to iCloud, and now I must have Wi-Fi turned off to make it usable. I also understand that iOS 6.1.6 will be the last upgrade for the iPhone 3GS. If this is true, then I'm sadly disappointed with Apple's inability to keep up with technology.

Feb 12, 2010I have just bought a Storm 2 9550 that is from Verizon USA. The device is GSM unlocked, and I am using it from Hungary on a local carrier. I am in the middle of a carrier change that has Blackberry services, however I currently have 3G web access on my actual carrier. However, the integrated browser that came with the phone, does not allow me to use the 3g network, only WIFI service. I cannot even set it to 3G on the browser options tab, as it only offers "hotspot browser".
Is there any way I can find a http browser that supports the 3g network, so I could surf the web on this carrier until I complete the carrier change? Is there any on Blackberry App world? I didnt manage to find one.
Also, I would like to have a POP3 client on my device that can communicate through 3G with a pop3 mail server, as the integrated email messaging software that Blackberry device software 5 offers is only capable of having a mail account through a BB service provider.I am very staisfied with the device itself, great for managing calls, and multimedia - did not face any crashes at all (maybe once when I wnated to take a picture and it frozen when the flash lit up).

Jul 1, 2010my blackberry storm 2 (9550) recently just took a splash of water and as you all might now, water can easily get in due to the spaces bordering the screen. So far my blackberry is working perfectly fine despite one major thing, the browser. It shows that I am connected to my home network, though when I try to load a page it shows the error message, "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later." My guess is that the water effected the circuit board?

Jun 18, 2012I have a BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 3G CDMA WiFi OS v5.0.0.1015 Bundle 1656. This phone was with Verizon previously and I have no present carrier. I want to take this phone to Europe to work WiFi and possibly a European Sim Card. I worked with Verizon and the phone is unlocked. I took it to Verizon, and they, as I had done, connected to a WiFi network (ID above clock in white), data and roaming turned off, and received a "success" on setting up. I noticed the "WiFi" symbol is a dull white, as opposed to the network name which is bright white. I go to the browser and it allows me to put in a URL, but when I try to go there, "Internet is not available, check with provider". The browser is set to Hotspot. I have removed the battery to no avail, and have done a security wipe, but the results are the same.Is there a setting I am missing, or something else basic I have overlooked?
