View 1 RepliesI am attempting to install a language to my SGS2 but before doing that must ascertain if my ROM is "deodexed" so need to locate a system file called framework. How do I find and access the system folder? navigated the phone via PC but wasn't able to find where the system directory is located.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted galaxy s6 on at&t and every time I try to delete a pre installed app it keeps coming right back. I read about dt ignite, but cannot find it anywhere in my applications.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my Galaxy S4, I had 360 security and I loved it. This app kept my phone running just the way I liked, and it also remove all the garbage apps I will never use. When I upgraded to the S6, one of the first apps that I downloaded was 360, however, whenever I attempt to delete the unwanted apps, the message I get is:
"This function cannot be used at the moment. 360 Security has not been granted root access."
Just updated via Samsung Apps the camera firmware to a CDE11 or something version. Took 4 minutes to update and flash this firmware. I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have Runkeeper and Endomondo installed, and they both used to work perfectly, but for some reason they now don't work, they are always 'looking for Satellites' but they now never find them, I don't know what has changed.i have looked at my settings, and uninstalled and reinstalled them to no avail. When I click on Google maps in the same locations, it works fine, so my GPS on the phone works. It also works with Navfree, which confusses me even more!
View 4 Replies View RelatedHow do I back up my apps?I don't understand how Kies work?
Kies doesn't have an option that says it backups apps? Gives me backup options of messages, phone contacts, settings etc but not apps? When I tell the program to back up everything. I just get ONE sbu file? Can I not back up apps individually?Even backed up on SD card is better then nothing?
just got S2, put in my old sim and SD card, but no sign of my apps that were on my S.
Can I get my paid for apps, Titanium Backup Pro etc., onto my S2 without paying again?
I've just had my annual upgrade and have changed my handset from a Galaxy S to a Galaxy S2.
I was wondering what the best way of transferring apps between the 2?
I got a SG2 from the UK and am now using it in a different country. When I went to Google play, I couldn't download popular apps like Skype, Evernote and Whatsapp. I then went to the actual website and to download the Evernote app but it said that it is not compatible itch my samsung g2. Doyouknow of any way to make it compatible?
View 1 Replies View RelatedBought S6 today. I'm still keeping my Nexus 6 as a tablet of sorts.
I know that Samsung has an app called Smart Switch Mobile to transfer data and app from other Android phones. But. It's not compatible with the N6.
So, What's the best and fastest way to transfer apps from the N6 to the Samsung S6?
Just noticed but my stock music and video player and stock photo gallery don't have access to the pictures music or video stored on my phone. I downloaded several third party apps and can still access the content.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have lots of stock apps that I want to get rid of, how can this be done? I go into applications but it seems I cannot remove them.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy s2 will let me connect to the internet through the browser no problems but none of the apps that require internet (play store, gmail, facebook etc) will work. Have reset the network settings, restarted my phone and am still stuck.
View 5 Replies View Relatedso i havn't rooted my s2 yet and i am wondering if what i have been doing is the same as "freezing" apps. i have advanced task killer and i opened the 'hub' apps and selected to disable them.

View 3 Replies View Relatedmy phone does this thing that whenever I download a new app it spreads it to empty pages in the applications tab. Usually it will be done with a page after it has like 5 apps and then starts piling on the next page. Is there anything I can do to merge it all together?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm new to smart phones and trying to find my way around them. I had an Orange San Deigo phone and purchased a few apps for it and they ran very well (It's a pity the phone didn't work properly) I was upgraded to the Galaxy S2. I have now tried to install the apps on to the Galaxy but the Galaxy is not recognized in the download screen
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhy Samsung/Google have this ridiculous limit? It is incredibly annoying. I have a 32GB SD card installed with tonnes of space left on it and loads of space on the internal memory too, so why can't I install APPS on it!I have moved as many apps as I can to the SD card, but I am still running out. I shouldn't have this problem, so why is this limitation in place?
View 9 Replies View Relatedvery first message here at this forum, I've just got my SGSII 1 week ago :-) wanted to organize all my apps into folders, so I did create folders and distribute them all among them.urious thing is that if all folders fit in one single page and all apps are inside those folders, apps are not shown at all.'m getting thing:If I pinch to see all pages, I can see my page with all the folders:f I touch to select, I'm back at a blank page, as in the first image attached. To see my apps, I just edited them and moved one folder to another page, and now I can see a page with one folder and another with the rest.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have sorted my Apps alphabetically in the grids on my Galaxy s II, but they seems to move by themselves to other grids.Normal I have 16 apps in a grid, but now I come across grids with only 15, 12 or 8 apps inside. The other 1, 4 or 8 have just moved to the following grid.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just installed the app 2 SD which moves your moveable apps to SD card. When I moved them to SD, went back to external SD and they don't appear to be there?
I've moved them manually by manage applications? Move to SD and I still can't see them?
Also I've created a folder on my SD card called "Camera" for my pics and videos. Set storage for camera to be on memory card. When I take a pic it saves pics and vids under DCIM in the external SD card. Is there no way to save pictures OTHER THAN DCIM? Even rename it won't work?
If so and I connect the phone to the PC via USB, where should I drag/copy the downloaded files to on the phone, and how do I go about installing them?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI prefer the luxury of surfing for apps on my laptop and if I find something I like, download it and then put it on my phone.can I download to my computer and then install on my S2? if so how?that is a two part how question. View 4 Replies View Relatedregarding apps when they ask for permission to access your call, msg, etc on installion. I was wonder if it's safe to install such apps which want total control and also if there is a software to block them from access on your phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedNow that I'm getting to grip a little more with my SGS II then the next stage is to look at security. On my old phone I had a pin code lock for when the phone was turned on. The nearest I've seen to that is the encrypt device option.Has anyone any recommendations as to good practices for security on android phones, especially with the auto sync of some accounts needed for running which makes me want to lock the phone down tight should it get into undesirable hands.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a new phone, the Samsung Galaxy s6. I was really excited as I had heard nothing but good things.
Unfortunately the reality is very disappointing. My phone restarts itself all the time (6x in the last hour alone) and there are constant 'Unfortunately app x has stopped working' messages (15 in the last hour). The applications that crash are everything from FB to the keyboard to the Play Store, nothing consistent.
I have tried starting in safe mode to check if it was a third party app causing the problem, deleting the app cache, wiping the cache partition, a soft reset, a hard factory reset. Unfortunately nothing works and the problems continue.
I'm running Android version 5.1.1
