I'm new to smart phones and trying to find my way around them. I had an Orange San Deigo phone and purchased a few apps for it and they ran very well (It's a pity the phone didn't work properly) I was upgraded to the Galaxy S2. I have now tried to install the apps on to the Galaxy but the Galaxy is not recognized in the download screen

View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased a 16gb micro sd for the phone. Copied files to it and inserted it into phone. When phone is connected to usb the card mounts and I can see it from the PC and copy files to it. When I try to browse the card from the phone, it is not found. I thought I had formatted it FAT32, but of I look at card properties in file explorer on the PC, it says 'File System: Generic hierarchical'. So I'm thinking perhaps it is not formatted properly. If I am to try another format, is it best to let the phone format it, or do it in a card reader on the PC first? I'm worried if I let the phone do it I may wipe my internal SD by mistake.

I have a folder called Music and within that I keep a load of folders with albums inside each. However for the albums that wont play, if I move individual songs outwith their album folder so that they just sit as loose files within the music directory then the music player recognises them.

Yesterday it unmounted, and now I can't get the phone to recognise there's a card installed (I've tried 2 different ones). Not rooted start showing constantly an icon of a plain as it was in flight mode and if you go to settings it shows that the flight mode is off. Also it is not recognising any SIM. I've uninstalled KIES along with the drivers and installed them back again to no avail. Is it possible to flash the phone with a working Android version without using the computer - through the SD card?

I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.

As the title suggests whenever i download theses .zip files i can download them from this site:http://www.multiupload.com/0LDQ4AT8L9. what i mean is that i see the file and the % bar increases when i download it.But after sometime it would just stop the downloading process and leave me with a file downloaded half way.I use orbit down loader as well firefox to try and download this file but never seems to work.Any1 know if i am using the wrong downloader or have other mirror sites to download from?

I've noticed that when i use mobile data connection instead of wifi, it downloads just fine. The problem is, I can't download 1gb with mobile data because it's too expensive.

I've also tried Simple Downloader app. I had been able to download music from Google Music. why I can't download from the apps? I checked my settings and I've selected allow downloads from 3rd party apps and I've deselected download over WiFi only.
