Basically when trying to play .mp3 files certain albums/folders aren�t being recognized by the music player. I have a folder called Music and within that I keep a load of folders with albums inside each. However for the albums that wont play, if I move individual songs outwith their album folder so that they just sit as loose files within the music directory then the music player recognises them.
View 2 RepliesI purchased a 16gb micro sd for the phone. Copied files to it and inserted it into phone. When phone is connected to usb the card mounts and I can see it from the PC and copy files to it. When I try to browse the card from the phone, it is not found. I thought I had formatted it FAT32, but of I look at card properties in file explorer on the PC, it says 'File System: Generic hierarchical'. So I'm thinking perhaps it is not formatted properly. If I am to try another format, is it best to let the phone format it, or do it in a card reader on the PC first? I'm worried if I let the phone do it I may wipe my internal SD by mistake.

Yesterday it unmounted, and now I can't get the phone to recognise there's a card installed (I've tried 2 different ones). Running Gingerbread 2.3.4 standard Samsung firmware, no network customization and not rooted.

Not rooted start showing constantly an icon of a plain as it was in flight mode and if you go to settings it shows that the flight mode is off. Also it is not recognising any SIM. I've tried both the front and rear ports, no difference.I have the Samsung driver v14.0.0.162 installed (did not plug in cable during install).I downloaded both Samsung PC Studio 3.2.3 and PC Studio 7.2.24.9. The applications work fine, but won't connect because of the Device Not Recognized issue. The phone sees USB power and begins charging when connected. I have it turned on and at the main "idle" screen. Does the phone have to be in a certain mode to connect? Not familiar with how to do this. I'm running XP Pro on the PC.

Has stop being recongnized by pc, i almost tries anything i know and find on net. The pc doesn't recongnise it on device manager (i have a win 7 pc), the phone however react as pluged in a charger. Their is no mtp or mass storage switch on notification.
I have reinstall the driver of samsung several times with smart switch & also made it manual by suppressing directrly the samsung usb driver from programs on control panel then reinstall it but no hope. I can't figure out eitheir its hard or soft. I had change my cable & also test my pc with another Galaxy s6 it works fine, but mine no.
i have made wipe cache / factory reset also made an initialisation from parameters the phone is formated but not recognised by the pc also test it on another pc but the same behaviour windows pcs doesn't recognise my phone.
However, i figure out that when its on the restore mode (volume down + lock + home) the pc recognise it by Odin and smart switch. I install the same rom on it also made an emergency restore with S/N and model and the process completes fine with smart switch and i saw the donwload progress bar completing on my phone. But still i m stuck its not recognised...
I tries to use *#0808# and its on AP / MTP + ADB but no hope

When I connect my phone to my PC as media device (MTP), it is showing a camera icon just like when I connected as camera (PTP) device. The same is happening when I connect my phone as a camera device (PTP), which is not a problem. How to make my computer recognise my phone as MTP device and transfer files?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have purchased a Galaxy S5 and cannot get the contacts to be recognised on my car's bluetooth, Volvo XC70. It all worked fine with my previous Motorola RAZR. What I had was the ability on the car audio/radio to search and scroll through my contact list and most recent calls. I have been able to pair the Galaxy OK to make and receive calls but every time I get in the car a message appears on the phone asking if I agree to share contacts and call history. But clicking Yes makes no difference. The message just keeps appearing in a minute or so.

I transferred about 2gb of music (mp3 format) from my PC to my HTC One's "Music" folder and when I check my phone's music player, there's nothing there. I tried a 3rd party music app, tried using media scanner apps, cleared cache for media storage, rebooted phone...no luck. Also tried HTC Sync Manager to copy the songs from there onto the phone and the songs still won't show up...s?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was recently trying to root my galaxy s5 (At&T, G900A) on android lollipop and so first I wanted to downgrade to kitkat for root and decided to do so with odin. I followed some instructions online and when I tried to follow the instructions it kept failing in Odin; so I've decided not to go through with the root and wanted to get back to stock lollipop, but when I restart the phone I get the error message "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again." But when I plug my s5 in and open kies it always gives me the message "this device isn't supported by kies" and I have the newest version (Kies 3).

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing u/bittorrent the files download no problem and are playable if i click on them in the torrent app or in the file manager, but do not show up in the music app. I tried moving them around in file manager to no avail. I switched from utorrent to bit torrent, deleting all the files and torrent app which seemed to work, i was sure all the albums were still in the music app since ive been listening to music all day but now it appears that they are not present in the app. I have restarted but am leaning towards a factory reset. Also, music i downloaded as zip files are recognized after i extract them on the phone, idk if that means anything to yall.
