Was taking pictures on my phone and got a notification while taking pictures that my sd card is not recognized. then all my photos were gone. got an adapter sd card to open it on my laptop and it does not recognize it either. how do I get my data and pictures off there now, is there a way to recover them yet.

It seems that whenever I take a picture using the built in camera, the SD-card's filesystem gets more or less corrupted (the pictures are saved on an 8GB MicroSD card FAT32 formatted).When checking the filesystem after taking one ore more pictures using latest dosfsck (a unix tool), errors range from "Free cluster summary wrong" (which is more or less harmless), differing FATs, and truncated files (in all my test cases images that were just taken).Other applications are also affected: I had no voice in my navigation application until I repaired the file system using fsck.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a 16gb micro sd for the phone. Copied files to it and inserted it into phone. When phone is connected to usb the card mounts and I can see it from the PC and copy files to it. When I try to browse the card from the phone, it is not found. I thought I had formatted it FAT32, but of I look at card properties in file explorer on the PC, it says 'File System: Generic hierarchical'. So I'm thinking perhaps it is not formatted properly. If I am to try another format, is it best to let the phone format it, or do it in a card reader on the PC first? I'm worried if I let the phone do it I may wipe my internal SD by mistake.

So I just got my GS5 and bought a 64gb SD card from sandisk certified for Android. So anyways I drop in a few songs to test it and it works fine. Now I am unable to format or unmount my sd card. The buttons are grayed out.

Moved a BUNCH of stuff over to the SD card, still says it's running low. I decided to buy a 64GB SD card and put it in, but the phone still says the storage is running low WITH the SD card mounted.
How am I supposed to get rid of the notification that the storage is low and actually be able to download apps and take pictures?

The card cannot be read by the phone nor be mounted. When trying to mount the card the phone says mounting SD card then card is safe to remove. I connected it to my computer and it says card needs to be formatted when clicking on the drive letter where the card is place via an adapter. we tried to mount the card on 2 other phones with the same results. Any recovery software that I might use to get my pictures back?

I was looking through my phone because I don't have a lot of memory on it, and I realized it is taking about 2gbs of memory, which confused me because on my recently added it only showed about 100-150 photos. anyway so I went to general->about and at photos I see I have 700 pictures stored. where are these pictures? I did research and I found out it should be in the collections part but all the 700 pictures are not there. where are these pictures?

This is the 2nd time this has happened to me with my Torch and I was curious to see if anyone else was having this problem.
On the left side of my screen its a black "cloud" that appears. When I look into my camera lens, it looks as if the framing that protects the lens from the BlackBerry's shell has fallen and is in the way of the lens, creating that "cloud".
I bought my first phone brand new from Rogers and literally maybe 2 days after my 30 day warranty this happened. I got Rogers to send me a refurbished phone (which by the way had some scuffs in it) and within a few months, this happened again.
Does anyone know if Rogers or BlackBerry will fix this for me? If not does anyone know how much it costs?
My camera kept going off taking random pictures then i went to telus got a download and it has done it once so far then this morning it went to my password as it does after its been inactive for an hour and this time i cannot use the keys to type in my password. And it wont let me use the keys on the touch screen.
