I have some MP3s that I want to use as ringtones. However, I don't want them to show in my Music Library (if I'm listening on shuffle I don't want these sound clips to play in the middle of them). I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how this might be achieved? I've tried all different directories and transfer methods but can't work it out..
Using u/bittorrent the files download no problem and are playable if i click on them in the torrent app or in the file manager, but do not show up in the music app. I tried moving them around in file manager to no avail. I switched from utorrent to bit torrent, deleting all the files and torrent app which seemed to work, i was sure all the albums were still in the music app since ive been listening to music all day but now it appears that they are not present in the app. I have restarted but am leaning towards a factory reset. Also, music i downloaded as zip files are recognized after i extract them on the phone, idk if that means anything to yall.

View 1 Replies View RelatedX10 hangs alot and never recovers afterwards for example most of the time when ever i use its camera, during the usage it hangs and stops responding to anything, the only solution to get the normal functionality back is to restart my mobile by pulling out battery and putting back in. I had even tried to reinstall android 2.1 thrice but still facing the same abnormal behaviour.Now whenever I connect my phone with my PC via data cable, its PC companion screen is blank (Screen shot is attached). View 5 Replies View Relatedi have a new nokia x3, around 2 months old, after restarting the phone one time, the main button (the menu button) works for locking/unlocking and even makes the keytone sound when you press it, but i cant open up the menu, its really annoying because without the menu i cannot access the phone! i can still make calls/text messages, but i really want to fix this.

1. You cannot assign different melodies for different alarms. Even old $50 non-smartphones can do that.
2. You cannot make one alarm for Monday, Thuesday and Friday and another alarm for Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Work days are absolutely insufficient. Please, make it possible to assign any number of days for any alarm.
3. Delivery reports must be a part of the sent messages. It's absolutely inconvenient to have them in a separate folder. This way you have to go into a separate folder just to know if a message was delivered or not (in case you've sent a dozen of messages and missed on-screen delivery reports).
4. Received SMS messages do not include sent date information (a time/date when a person hit 'send' ), only a time/date of actual delivery.
5. When adding a contact to a contact list, earlier SMS messages from this contact remain unidentified.
6. Service requests, e.g. *NUMBER# have no user feedback. All other mobile phones I've dealt with say: "Requesting ..." (I can upload video demonstrating this issue.)
7. Many actions, like hanging up cause very uneven feedback - the phone shutdowns in less than a fraction of a second. I can upload video demonstrating this issue.
8. It's not clear if a mobile telephone is fully charged up - especially if you haven't heard the completion sound/alarm.
9. The same telephone numbers with different prefixes are not recognized. In my country you can call a person "8 123456789" and receive a phone call from "+7 123456789" - Nokia 5530 will treat these two numbers as different numbers when in fact they are the same.
Also you can call a person or a land line phone by omitting country and city prefix like 1234567 and then that person or number will call from "+(country prefix) (city prefix) 1234567" and, of course, Nokia will not recognize this phone number.So this is a direct request to Nokia software engineers: if the last five digits of a number match any previously stored number it must be treated as the old already saved number, e.g. a call from XXXXX12345 must be treated as a call from PersonA who has 12345 telephone number.
10. When entering an SMS message, the phone sometimes goes nuts and after you've finished typing a sentence ending it with dot, all subsequent characters are entered in CAPS mode. (I can upload video demonstrating this issue).
11. QWERTY keyboard in wide screen mode should look exactly like a QWERTY keyboard, like here http://www.gonzalobarr.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/qwerty.gif So the second row should have a different indentation and e.g. 'A' char should be located almost in the middle of 'Q' and 'W' chars above. Right now in wide screen QWERTY keyboard the second and third row chars are located exactly under first row chars and it's not easy to map this image with your memory of QWERY keyboard. That makes typing much more difficult.
12. You cannot edit a contact before opening it, which means a lot of unneeded clicks. Please, add "Edit" to contact "Options".
I have various calendar alarms set on my Nokia 5800XM. It has the latest software according to OVI although I have seen a slightly later release online. When an alarm sounds the phone seems to lock up. I can't stop or silence the alarm nor can I unlock the screen to do so. To stop the alarms I have to either switch the phone off or press the red button which snoozes the alarms for 10 mins.

View 4 Replies View RelatedX6 Alarms, how do they work. I see it can take multiple alarms (one up on Blackberry), BUT how do you switch them off, or snooze? When the alarm goes off, a partly lit screen appaears with a STOP and SNOOZE button on the touch screen. Tapping either does nothing. Even unlocking the phone on the side slideer and then taping on these two tough screen button does nothing!. Only recourse is to click on the Red Telephone button, which seems to have the same effect as a snooze button. Still no idea how to actually switch it off, and tend to go into alarms and delete it or reset it to a prior time. Also do alarms that are set for "Weekdays" stay, or do you have to reset (re create) the alarm each time.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm rinning version firmware V50.0.005 and have just updated to the latest Ovi Sat-nav. Now when one of my alarms triggers it won't shut off. Pressing stop on the screen gets a response from the hand set (it vibrates) but the alarm just keeps on playing.

View 2 Replies View Related1) I cannot stop the alarms or reminders when phone is in lock state: When the handset is locked and I get a reminder tone for alarm/reminders, then the STOP and SNOOZE buttons on the screen are disabled. I have to snooze the alarm by pressing the red button on the handset, then unlock the mobile and wait for snooze time (also ensure that mobile is unlocked), and then press the STOP button on the screen.
This is creating huge problem, because to stop any alarm or reminder, I have to wait till the snooze time with mobile unlocked.
2) Cannot turn my phone to silence during incoming call when mobile is in lock state: When I receive any call and if the mobile is in locked mode, I cannot make(rather silence button on screen is disabled) the ringing to silent. If the mobile is in unlocked mode, then any incoming call can be made silent by pressing the silence button on the screen. Again here i need to ensure that phone is in unlock state or use the start/stop button on the side of teh phone.......
I updated the 5800xm to the new firmware v40.0.005. Everything seems to work, except for a small irritation. There are some entries in my calendar and reminders are set.When a reminder is due, a window pops-up with audible alarm for the calendar entry.
To dismiss the reminder, I have to unlock the touchscreen and select from the 2 options (don't remember the exact names).But, after unlocking, the buttons don't respond.. The touch/tapping seems to be registered, but the alarm still persists.The only button that seems to be active is the Red one, which puts the alarm in 'snooze'.. and the alarm repeats every 5 minutes.
After the alarm is 'snoozed', the keyguard again goes to 'locked' state. Further unlocking and working on the phone works ok, except on the calendar reminder option..

In version 40, when receiving a call the old answer button was replaced by a sliding button. The same goes for the alarm. The old stop button was replaced with a new sliding stop button.I was in a call, the phone suddenly crashed and restarted. After that both sliding buttons don't appear when receing a call or when an alarm goes off.Is there any solution other than reinstalling the firmware update or hard resetting the phone?
I just got an X6 and was wondering if someone can answer the questions?I've tried settings memo's and meetings with alarms, however if the phone is switched off they don't alert me when I turn it on. Is there something I can change to do this? When I get a new message and the phone is locked the menu button light flashes. Is there a way to make the screen flash when a message comes in (even just once)?Can I get rid of the 'Add' icon on the front as it's in the middle of my other contacts?

I tried a 3rd party music app, tried using media scanner apps, cleared cache for media storage, rebooted phone...no luck. Also tried HTC Sync Manager to copy the songs from there onto the phone and the songs still won't show up...s?
