I just upgraded my phone from S3 to S5. On the S3 I used Music Maniac to download music. Since upgrading to the S5, the music won't download. I've also tried Simple Downloader app. I had been able to download music from Google Music. why I can't download from the apps? I checked my settings and I've selected allow downloads from 3rd party apps and I've deselected download over WiFi only.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there was an easier, more streamlined setting I am missing where you can save the pics you download from 3rd party apps right to the memory card. I have been downloading them and then manually moving them to the memory card but its always a hassle. The normal camera app gives you the nice setting to have them auto save to the memory card so that's awesome. Though I am wondering if other apps I use can do this too?

Also, he told me I could "find" my apps from the Galaxy 3 in Google Play under "my apps" but I have found no such thing. I suppose I could connect both phones to my computer and transfer the music that way and download all the former apps again. Is there a better, easier way?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to sync mine & my partners phones so that we can share itunes between both phones, I have set up 1 itunes account (using my apple id) & we each have a icloud account, I have managed to get the music to appear on both phones but it also brought all of my apps onto my partners phone, I think this must be because the itune account is in my apple id, is there a way to share music only? Also to play all the music that is on itunes library on the computer, on my partners phone, you have to change his shared music library setting every time you wish to see all that is on the itunes account, is this correct?

Since I updated to 5.1 on my iPhone 3Gs, I keep getting problems with the updated OS. I can't download apps, music or books from the iTunes store, it's very hit and miss. It is pointless having a pin upon wake up of the phone as all you have to do to get past the pin is by swiping the camera button up to by-pass it. The battery life has dramatically dropped from lasting a couple of days with everyday use to around 9 hours. The signal from the network has dropped from 3 bars on 3G to 4 bars on GPRS, and finally apps keep crashing and exit themselves to the home screen.
I have rang my network (O2UK) and they have said that they have had serveral reports of Apple products having these bugs since the release of 5.1, and saying that nothing has changed in terms of te settings and masts near me, but they advised me to check my network settings and if they are different from what O2's website said (they were the same). So why are there so many bugs with 5.1? I can't download any apps at all and my battery is worse?

All native apps as well as all JB apps work fine. I didnt install any new apps. I did update Rock but I cant remember if it was doing that before or after the Rock update. I've noticed that when i use mobile data connection instead of wifi, it downloads just fine. The problem is, I can't download 1gb with mobile data because it's too expensive.
I've tried uninstalling google play store updates, cache, data, force stopping it, rebooting my phone, nothing worked. Some people told me to turn off download booster, i did but nothing happened.
S5 is my first android .. I would like to ask , i cant download some program from the play strore , for example = whatsapp messenger / yahoo messenger. It keep stuck at the blue downloading bar.
but i can download another program like Path / something else, I already tried clear data , clear cache , factory reset, but it still wont work , i still cant download whatsapp / yahoo messenger .
I used BBSAK to backup my 3rd party apps, tried to load an OS that didnt take, and had no choice but to wipe my phone and start over. So I get my OS right, and try to restore my apps. BBSAK says "Phone may reboot after back up is complete" then "restoring apps completed". Fail. Problem is, it didnt actually DO ANYTHING! So i try again, nothing still. Dammit.
So instead of asking how with another thread, I searched a bunch of threads and here is what I came up with to get 3rd party apps back on the phone.
Open up your Blackberry Desktop Manager, go to the Application Loader, "browse" to find the "Backup" file BBSAK created. In there is a file called "backup.alx". Open it and load your 3rd party apps back to your phone.
Is there any way to restore 3rd party apps preferences from a backup made with Blackberry Desktop Manager?

I can move the factory installed icons like the BBapp world icon, but icons for apps I have downloaded cannot be moved. When I select the icon of the 3rd party app i want to move, and press/hold the BB button, no menu with a "move" option appears.

I have tried force stopping and clearing cached data for google play services and the download manager. I have tried making a new google account. I have tried restarting my phone and taking out the battery. I have literally tried every suggestion i could find and nothing works (minus a factory reset) which im not willing to do. My phone doesn't display an error code or anything, it just continuously tries to download an app but it will never start downloading.
