I recently received a message that I could update the Blackberry App world and I followed the update procedure and everything went well with the update. In the process of doing the update a list of applications that are waiting for updates was displayed. I would like to do these updates to but I cannot get to the list again.
I updated my 3g from 3.0 to 3.1.2 and none of my 3rd party apps will open. Ive tried restoring and redownloading the apps and they still crash. I can use my cracked apps but not my apple apps. Does anyone know how to fix this.
I have a torch 9860 running os 7.0, and am looking to rearrange the on-screen icons. I can move the factory installed icons like the BBapp world icon, but icons for apps I have downloaded cannot be moved. When I select the icon of the 3rd party app i want to move, and press/hold the BB button, no menu with a "move" option appears.
I'm new to the BlackBerry but had an iPaq years ago with no internet connection. All I had to do was install a new app from my PC to the phone. I can't seem to figure out how to do that on the BB.
I have a Bible software I want to add as well as a couple of games. What is an application loader file?I went to applications/import files and tried to add my Bible software but it rejects it saying "There was an error importing files."
I have a 3g and I am JB with rock. Last night my phone would no longer launch any app store apps. All the apps when started immediately crash. All native apps as well as all JB apps work fine. I didnt install any new apps. I did update Rock but I cant remember if it was doing that before or after the Rock update. Any one know how to fix this without a restore. I sync my phone at work and a full restore is a PITA!
T mobile wants to charge me TXT usage when I use their aim app. Can I install a Java app that would let me im anyone, and not get charged for TXT, just WEB?.
I woke up this morning and all but three of my apps are gone from my iPhone 4s. I immediately tried plugging into my syncing computer via USB but that doesn't seem to have worked. Where did all of my apps go?? How can I restore them?
I used BBSAK to backup my 3rd party apps, tried to load an OS that didnt take, and had no choice but to wipe my phone and start over. So I get my OS right, and try to restore my apps. BBSAK says "Phone may reboot after back up is complete" then "restoring apps completed". Fail. Problem is, it didnt actually DO ANYTHING! So i try again, nothing still. Dammit.
So instead of asking how with another thread, I searched a bunch of threads and here is what I came up with to get 3rd party apps back on the phone.
Open up your Blackberry Desktop Manager, go to the Application Loader, "browse" to find the "Backup" file BBSAK created. In there is a file called "backup.alx". Open it and load your 3rd party apps back to your phone.
I just upgraded my phone from S3 to S5. On the S3 I used Music Maniac to download music. Since upgrading to the S5, the music won't download. I've also tried Simple Downloader app. I had been able to download music from Google Music. why I can't download from the apps? I checked my settings and I've selected allow downloads from 3rd party apps and I've deselected download over WiFi only.
I've searched the forums and tried this twice now. I've used JL cmder and the wipe commands from the security settings, but i'm still having the same issues.I traded up from a S1 to an S2 and when I received the new phone, obviously it was a refurb. There were loads of apps installed on the phone. I tried deleting them from the apps menu it options, but no go. A few apps I used, but there were no icons for them in any of the folder or on the main menu. I made sure they werent hidden either. A specific program was AIM for blackberry. I deleted it from options menu, then tried reinstalling it. Still no icon. I used JL cmder the second time to see if it would let me start fresh. Still no go.
My BB9300 curve runs with OS5, and I'musing airtel India carrier. I don't have BIS plan,I'm using normal gprs plan to run third partyapps like opera and whatsapp. These apps works well with gprs, but theproblem is, it suddenly stops working sayingthat no internet connection is available. Then tofix this I've 2 do a battery pull(hard reset) everytime.I've also upgraded to OS6, but the above problem still remains. In my observation this problem is maximum whenever I'm travelling and where the network connection will disconnect and reconnect frequently.
I am running with OS v5.0.0.328. All 3rd party apps (google maps, gmail, Facebook 1.6, opera, etc...), text messages, phone calls, and browsing on BB's native browser work with no problems when using the data connection. About an hour or so later, all the 3rd party apps have data connection failures yet text messages, phone calls, and browsing on BB's native browser still work fine. If I pull the battery the 3rd party apps will still work fine using the data connection until about an hour or so later and it stops again (requiring another battery pull).
I was wondering if there was an easier, more streamlined setting I am missing where you can save the pics you download from 3rd party apps right to the memory card. I have been downloading them and then manually moving them to the memory card but its always a hassle. The normal camera app gives you the nice setting to have them auto save to the memory card so that's awesome. Though I am wondering if other apps I use can do this too?
Everytime I try to update my apps on my blackberry it says "an error has occured please try again later" and when I do try again later it says the same thing.
Last week I did a device software update, I am currently running OS 6.0, Bundle 2949. First of all, my Twitter and Facebook Apps were downgraded to versions from when I was still using my BB Bold. More annoyingly, I lost some languages on my device. I had Spanish, French, Italian, German, English and Dutch. Since the update I have Russian, Greek, Dutch and English (US and UK), but I cannot add or delete any of these through desktop manager.
I tried deleting and adding in the same update sequence. I tried deleting only, then I tried adding only, and every time I get an error saying the action (or update) "could not be validated due to unsatisfied dependencies." So then I tried deleting a regular app, thinking maybe there was an "unsatisfied dependency" in an app. Same error, and nothing happened. And the same again with a different app.
So my old, wine covered Storm is gone and I got a brand new replacement from Telus today. Hurray! I backed up the old phone and restored it backup on the new one, but all my third party apps are gone (Telus told me that they should transfer, but I was skeptical). Is there anyway to get these back without having to re-download them all? There's two or three that I actually paid for... it would suck to have to re-buy them!
I'm looking at BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and there's an option to import 3rd party apps from the old phone to the new one, but you need to have both phones at the same time I think. Not too handy!
I'm not sure how to connect my school email to my blackberry Torch. My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. It does provide instructions on how to link to the Blackberry but it doens't work for the Torch because the option doesn't exist. (Instructions)To set up the BlackBerry's email client with Google Apps email (IMAP), just follow these steps: On your BlackBerry device, navigate to your home screenSelect the icon that lets you set up email (this can be called Setup, Setup Wizard, Email Setup, BlackBerry Set-up, E-mail settings, or Personal Email Set-up)Follow the setup instructions provided on your device to create a new e-mail accountBe sure to enter the following:Mail Server: imap.gmail.comUsername: [your full Google Apps email address]Password: [your Google Apps password]IMAP Port: 993Allow the system to add your account, but do not enter your Google Apps password into the utility boxes (this causes the system to default to POP3 instead of IMAP)Select NextSelect Next again (bypassing the 'Additional Information Required' section)Select your account type, then select Next. You may encounter a 'We were unable to configure...' error. Select I will provide the settings to continueSelect the option that mentions 'IMAP/POP'Select I will provide the settings..., then select NextSelect Set up existing email account...Enter your Google Apps account information here, with 'imap.gmail.com' as your mail serverSelect NextSelect Save
