Oct 6, 2012Whenever i go into app world and attempt to download an application (even bbm!) i get the following error message:"your system administrator has prevented installation of third party applications on this device . contact your system administrator for details"it also wont let me install apps from the computer.The phone is second hand and i've tried doing a factory reset but the same problem still occurs.

Sep 8, 2011I recently got a Bold 9700, and I downloaded and installed app world and facebook fine. It will not let me download anything else. It goes to download then part way through it stops and the error "There was a problem during installation. Please Try again." I have tried, uninstalling and re-downloading app world, still does it. I updated the software on my phone, still does it. I even have tried downloading the app directly from the company's website, instead of through app world, and it still does it.

May 19, 2012I have recently bought a new iphone 4 and after a month or so of use, it began to drop calls or my voice wasn't heard by the person on the other end. I could hear them perfectly fine, but my voice was either very faint or not able to be heard.
I have restored my phone to factory settings, but doing this did not solve the problem. I live overseas and my provider is Vodaphone. It isn't a signal/carrier problem. Is this something that can be fixed by being serviced, or will I probably have to get a new phone all together? It's really frustrating, as I bought a factory unlocked phone to use in Turkey.

Jun 1, 2012I can't open every applications except all the built-in appplcations (Calendar, Clock etc.), in other words, all third-party applications are crashed when I open them.
I use two accounts (A & B) to download apps, after I change my current account A to another one B, the applications which belongs to B are working, and I try to download a new app it's working too.
When I change account B back to A, B's apps are still working, however all A's applications still crashed. But I downloaded a new app using account A, it's working...
So what can I do about all my existing account A's applications?

All native apps as well as all JB apps work fine. I didnt install any new apps. I did update Rock but I cant remember if it was doing that before or after the Rock update. Any one know how to fix this without a restore. I sync my phone at work and a full restore is a PITA!

Apr 10, 2012For years now I've plugged my iPhone 3Gs into my Mac and downloaded the images and video from it into programs like Photomechanic, Adobe Lightroom, Image Capture, etc...
Sometime within the past 3 months this functionality has quit. None of the above programs "see" the iPhone. iTunes is the only program that agrees that the iPhone is actually plugged into the computer. Everything is up to date. Nothing has changed workflow wise.
I've read previous posts of this happening due to photos received from SMS and email or screen grabs. I've deleted those on my find that I could find and still no luck.

May 8, 2012US Apple Employee took my Japan iPhone, tried to unlock my iPhone by installing an app called "unlockit.co.nz", put my AT&T sim card in, read FAILED, and said it didn't work. He reassured me that my Japan iPhone will still work when I go back there, but I have no reassurance now. Did they mess up my iPhone and not taking responsiblity for it? Do Apple employees typically install sketchy 3rd party unlock apps that change APNs?
I went into the Apple Store today with both my US iPhone 4 (16 GB Black) and my Japan iPhone 4 (16 GB Black). My US iPhone was having issues with its bluetooth and home button is sticking a lot. He couldn't replace it since it was out of warranty and suggested that I find a 3rd party repair shop or look on Craigslist.
My Japan iPhone 4 is still under warranty and suffers from one spot on the screen being exceptionally bright. He said he could replace my Japan iPhone with a US AT&T iPhone. I told him, I'm not sure if that would be smart since my Japanese Softbank SIM card may not work anymore in an AT&T iPhone. He explained to me how unlocking works and said he can easily set it up for me. He took my Japanese iPhone, went to some site, installed a program, did a few things, and took my AT&T SIM Card out and put it into my " newly unlocked" Japan iPhone. The phone kept saying SIM Failed and he restarted it, and it still didn't work. He put my AT&T SIM card back into my US iPhone and thankfully, it still read my SIM Card.
He offered to exchange my Japan iPhone for a US iPhone 4, and suggested that I call AT&T to have them unlock my phone for me. He said they would do it, if I was out of contract with AT&T, but I wasn't, so I went home back at status quo, or so I thought.
I looked at my Japan iPhone again, and noticed that there was an app called, "unlockit.co.nz". It opens up Safari and pulls up something called APN Changer. Upon closer inspection, it's the same app/site the Apple Tech pulled up when I was at the store. I'm a bit leary about odd apps, especially apps that originated from the domain co.nz. I googled the site and looked it up, and it seems a bit odd.
Now, I don't know what this program exactly does, but I'm a bit annoyed that I don't know what app the Apple Employee installed and what it exactly did. I have no assurance that my Japan iPhone will work in Japan now after he installed this app and did something. Is it the Apple policy to go and install 3rd party apps? Will my Japan iPhone still be good when I go back or am I going to land in Japan and spend the first few hours at an Apple store trying to get my phone replaced/fixed?

Apr 11, 2012Whenever I attempt to facetime or call someone using the speakerphone the other party can't here me or can barely hear me. The same goes for when I try to create a video. But what's odd is the voice memo feature works to what seems normal and normal phone calls (without speakerphone) also sound fine. Even If I plug in my apple earbuds or third party earbuds the mic works too.

May 27, 2011I have a 3rd party charger, that charges fine my phone, Kindle etc. It's able to do 2,5A (5V) on output. But when I connect it to PB nothing happens, the screen lights up, but the battery is not charging. I think the problem is not because of not enough amps, it's more than original wall charger.But I have no idea what's the problem... Is it too much amps and PB, instead of using just what's needed, will just disconnect the charger at all?
