BB Accessories :: Using 3rd Party Charger And PB Not Charging
May 27, 2011
I have a 3rd party charger, that charges fine my phone, Kindle etc. It's able to do 2,5A (5V) on output. But when I connect it to PB nothing happens, the screen lights up, but the battery is not charging. I think the problem is not because of not enough amps, it's more than original wall charger. But I have no idea what's the problem... Is it too much amps and PB, instead of using just what's needed, will just disconnect the charger at all?
have a car charger for Nokia 701? I mean, is there a car charger for Nokia 701? I'm quite surprised that I can't find a mobile charger for my phone. Some people say that the Nokia DC-4 charger is compatible because it has a 2mm pin, but I don't think that it's so simple. Furthermore, the DC-4 page on Nokia site has a compatibility list and Nokia 701 is not there and I can't find a car charger that clearly is compatible with the Nokia 701.
i'm looking for a car charger for my nokia c7, but in compatibility list i can't find one. In nokia official web site i see dc-6 and dc-10 models, with mirco-usb, but i'm not sure they are rights because my c7 model isn't in the list. is possible nokia havent' one for my cell??? with micro-usb standard (i've read it is the future standard for all devices) are there different ampere-voltage or usb is a standard for all phones?
I want to charge my phone when I'm in office, so I bought these USB retractable chargers, Chargers. Is there any issues with these chargers, I'm a bit reluctant about the voltage of these devices compared to original SE USB charging cable,Are they bad for the battery ?
I have a C6-01 and I'd like use the Nokia fast charger AC-50.My battery phone is BL5-CT 1050 mAh and charger is higher than it, 1300 mAh.Can i use this fast charger with my smartphone?Could it damage battery or phone?
I would like to buy car charger for my Nokia N8. I have found these on ebay [URL]
Is it safe to charge mobile over micro USB connector or could it short battery life? And does it charge the same over the USB as when you charge it with normal charger that you connect to bottom of mobile?
I have had my playbook since December and yesterday I went to charge my playbook using the wall charger that came with it and the charger no longer charges. Does anyone know if Blackberry will replace the charger? If so how do I go about it?
I have a CK-100 car kit and trying to find a replacement/upgrade charge cable (CA-134) with a USB micro B connector instead of the 2mm that is fitted. The user/installation guide mentions that an alternative USB cable may be supplied but all searches have failed to find one. The alternative is to make up a cable RJ45 at the CK end, I can buzz it out but does anyone have the pin out for the RJ45? I've tried the CA-146 adapter and to be honest it's naff - it runs hot and the output is reduced to the point that whilst running my satnav app the phone will discharge faster than it can be charged, I've also tried the adapter on a standard car charger with the same results.
I purchased car charger for my BB Curve. The charger is dead from the time I bought it. The shop owner @ Noida, India passes the buck on BB service center for replacement. The service center is saying that accessory replacement is the task of shop owner. Am unable to connect to 1800-425-3720.
My BlackBerry Playbook's wall charger is no longer functioning.. Will I be able to get a free replacement? I'd call but apparantly BlackBerry charges thier customers for phone support..
i do not have an electrical engineering background and in fact know very little about amps, watts, etc. however to understand my power and charging needs for the playbook, i googled. anyone who knows this better feel to correct me.-the included outlet to micro-usb charger provides 1.8amps at 5volts.-the typical pc to micro-usb cable provides around 0.5amps at 5volts.-the typical power usage of a playbook while active and running is 2-3 watts (which is about 0.5amps to 0.75amps at around 4 volts (depending on battery state). So if the above is true, the pc to micro-usb charger will pretty much cover the usage amps or maybe even less but wont actually increase the amount of stored energy (breaks even). The included charger will provide about 1amp of juice to store after subtracting the 0.5 to 0.75amps of usage.but what is the maximum charger amps or voltage which can charge the playbook the fastest via outlet to micro-usb?is 5v the maximum and amps are the limiting factor? or can any amount of voltage and amps be used? i need it to be microusb not the magnetic post cable because my stand uses microusb. the reason i mention usage while active instead of standby mode is because i plan to run a night table clockapp which will draw 2watts but still want to charge the device quickly.
I'm wondering what is the charging power output going through the CA-134 cable from the carkit? If the CA-146 adapter was attached, is there a difference then in the output?
I've recently purchased within the last 2 weeks the Blackberry Bold 9780. For some reason I can't get the phone to charge in any Car using the 12v cigarette lighter. I've had no issues with charging it from the Mains and the USB port on a PC. When plugging into the Cigarette lighter, the charger's LED lights up to indicate that there is power being received to the charging unit and after inserting the mini USB connection into the Phone, I get the connection bleep and the clock appears, however after all of this I still get no charging indicator on the battery. Also sometimes when I re-connect the cable I get the below message from the phone:
`Some USB hubs might not provide enough power. Plug the hub into a power outlet (if available) and re-connect your Blackberry device. Try connecting to another USB port (different computer, USB hub or travel charger). Verify that your USB cable is securely connected to your Blackberry device and USB port. Verify that your Computer is standby, hibernate or sleep mode. Verify that Blackberry device USB drivers are installed on your Computer`.
I've now tried three different car chargers all supported by Blackberry - I've sinced purchased one of the Mini USB Chargers that plug into the Cigarette lighter Mini-USB cables - still the same issue... I've tried charging in other cars - also my wife owns a HTC Wildfire and she's able to charge her phone from the Mini USB charger I have recently purchased.
I've spoken to Orange who don't seem to have heard of any issues like this - I've since asked Orange to replace the phone which I'm hoping to receive within the next 24hrs...
I was about to buy an in-car charger for my 9630. Since i have an in-car usb port, I;m wondering if I can just get a USB to microUSB cable, connect the phone to the car, and get a charge.
Since yesterday my C7 will not charge through the wall charger. I have tried a different charger and different wall point. I have also tried cleaning the contacts.
The phone does charge through the USB cable with the PC though.
It is only one month old and bought from new on Orange contract. However I am not in the UK again until November.I have tried a different charger and different wall point.
My Lumia 950 doesn't charge well on the CR-201 in car charger. It connects and disconnects every 10 seconds or so, making usual chime, when it connects with monotonous regularity. That's makes a nuisance when bluetooth streaming as the chimes stream too. Flicking to ringer off stops that though.
It charges fine using the DT-910 desk standing charger. So I don't think it's a case issue, though I have a Mozo case on order.
I bought one HS 700 bluetooth headset 1 year ago and it worked superbly. After one year, suddenly one day after charging, the audio went off. The bluetooth is getting connected and even making calls, other person is able to hear my voive but i get no audio on my headset. Even when the headset is turned on and is connected to a device, no audio comes from headpiece.
I have just bought the unit yesterday. I tried to charge it and saw the red light as the manual says but 3 hours have passed and still red light. I charged it overnight and still red light. The manual says charging should only be around 1 hr 15 mins and light should turn green but it did happen on my case. The exact charger model no. that comes with the package is AC-5E though the manual says AC-4, AC5, DC-4.
Today I received 2 Nokia wireless charger as part of the free charger with the new Lumia 920 on AT&T. When I tried to charge my phone it worked just fine, but when I tried to charge my wife phone it didn't charge, her was in battery save mode so I tried charging it with the usb cable until it got out of battery save mode and tried again with no luck.
I tried in both wireless charger devices both phones and had the same result, my phone charged and my wife's didn't. The light in the charger device does light up with no blinking hinting that the phone is charging but there's no notification on the phone side (no sound, battery icon don't change, battery keeps dropping).
The other difference between the two phones is that her's is high gloss red and mine is matte black.
