Nokia Accessories :: Getting Car Charger For 701?
May 31, 2012have a car charger for Nokia 701? I mean, is there a car charger for Nokia 701? I'm quite surprised that I can't find a mobile charger for my phone. Some people say that the Nokia DC-4 charger is compatible because it has a 2mm pin, but I don't think that it's so simple. Furthermore, the DC-4 page on Nokia site has a compatibility list and Nokia 701 is not there and I can't find a car charger that clearly is compatible with the Nokia 701.

Jan 22, 2012I have a CK-100 car kit and trying to find a replacement/upgrade charge cable (CA-134) with a USB micro B connector instead of the 2mm that is fitted. The user/installation guide mentions that an alternative USB cable may be supplied but all searches have failed to find one. The alternative is to make up a cable RJ45 at the CK end, I can buzz it out but does anyone have the pin out for the RJ45? I've tried the CA-146 adapter and to be honest it's naff - it runs hot and the output is reduced to the point that whilst running my satnav app the phone will discharge faster than it can be charged, I've also tried the adapter on a standard car charger with the same results.

But when I connect it to PB nothing happens, the screen lights up, but the battery is not charging. Dec 21, 2011i do not have an electrical engineering background and in fact know very little about amps, watts, etc. however to understand my power and charging needs for the playbook, i googled. anyone who knows this better feel to correct me.-the included outlet to micro-usb charger provides 1.8amps at 5volts.-the typical pc to micro-usb cable provides around 0.5amps at 5volts.-the typical power usage of a playbook while active and running is 2-3 watts (which is about 0.5amps to 0.75amps at around 4 volts (depending on battery state).So if the above is true, the pc to micro-usb charger will pretty much cover the usage amps or maybe even less but wont actually increase the amount of stored energy (breaks even).The included charger will provide about 1amp of juice to store after subtracting the 0.5 to 0.75amps of usage.but what is the maximum charger amps or voltage which can charge the playbook the fastest via outlet to micro-usb?is 5v the maximum and amps are the limiting factor? or can any amount of voltage and amps be used? i need it to be microusb not the magnetic post cable because my stand uses microusb. the reason i mention usage while active instead of standby mode is because i plan to run a night table clockapp which will draw 2watts but still want to charge the device quickly.

1) Connect Nokia Maps application with Nokia Drive so that selecting an address should use Nokia Drive for navigation.
2) Nokia Maps does not allow to copy the address of a POI in the clipboard on Windows Phone. Please support this.
3) Nokai Drive should support set a home location that should be easily accessible (just like it is in other navigation apps).
4) Support for favorites in Nokia Drive. These should be available offline and also remain insync with the favorites marked in Nokia Maps (which are now synchronized with the user's account).
5) Nokia Drive does not support show the route details for a particular route - this is helpful in getting an overview of the route that will be taken to reach the destination. Please support this.
6) Nokia Drive can give longer/unoptimized routes when compared with other providers like Google or Bing maps. Can you please bring the routing quality upto par with the competition?
7) It will be nice to see weather at destination from within Nokia Drive when a route is being planned.

Mar 1, 2010Someone got a brandnew N97 from O2 in Germany. The interesting thing is the packages says "Made in China". My own N97 was made in Finland, as expected. Aug 8, 2010As I use phone, it is really excellent. However, I am not able to exploit any features since there is no charge even after half day use.
I found that I had enabled search for WIFI and also enabled two of the settings for gps. After removing settings and changing display to lower brightness and not using internet it is better now. I took BSNL service in India for my vacation. They have 3g in very few places. I am not sure if the 3g or their SIM card is the culprit.
I want to buy car charger. I found Nokia dc-6 selling for Rs 950($20). Do I need to use only this? I called and found that Samsung one for Rs 250($6). Is it ok to use generic one or other brands?
What do I need to look for when I buy car charger for n900? I hope it works in USA also. Appreciate any help since I need to buy ASAP. I can exploit all features in my journeys since I am not driving here unlike in USA;-)

I have searched the online manual and it shows me every icon but this one. Usually, when you tap on said status bar, a list of alert drops down. Any and all icons that have appeared show me why they are there, e.g.: new email from Buddy, new BBM from Marco. This particular icon shows nothing.
