BB Torch :: Third Party Applications Menu Empty
Oct 22, 2010I'm trying to set the permissions for one of my third party applications from the options menu, but there is nothing there but a blue bar at the top.

Oct 6, 2012Whenever i go into app world and attempt to download an application (even bbm!) i get the following error message:"your system administrator has prevented installation of third party applications on this device . contact your system administrator for details"it also wont let me install apps from the computer.The phone is second hand and i've tried doing a factory reset but the same problem still occurs.

Jun 1, 2012I can't open every applications except all the built-in appplcations (Calendar, Clock etc.), in other words, all third-party applications are crashed when I open them.
I use two accounts (A & B) to download apps, after I change my current account A to another one B, the applications which belongs to B are working, and I try to download a new app it's working too.
When I change account B back to A, B's apps are still working, however all A's applications still crashed. But I downloaded a new app using account A, it's working...
So what can I do about all my existing account A's applications?

Sep 8, 2011I recently got a Bold 9700, and I downloaded and installed app world and facebook fine. It will not let me download anything else. It goes to download then part way through it stops and the error "There was a problem during installation. Please Try again." I have tried, uninstalling and re-downloading app world, still does it. I updated the software on my phone, still does it. I even have tried downloading the app directly from the company's website, instead of through app world, and it still does it.

Dec 26, 2011 I just noticed that while sliding the screen from top left corner all the way to top right corner (network indicator to battery indicator), Open Applications menu pops up!!! I mean the same function happens as by holding down the menu button or just tapping options, open applications.Was this functionality always there, and I was the only one that didn't know about it? Jul 2, 2012My menu button loads my 'phone' and not the menu for the phone. I cannot access the menu that includes: hide, move, open tray etc. I cleaned up the phone and uploaded the newest software via the BB desktop application software. I ended up cleaning it up so well it seemed to go back to factory settings as I lost all my apps. It seemed to solve the problem though and I got my menu button to work properly again. I have since uploaded App World and a new theme. The button still worked properly for 24 hours. Today, I turn it on and all is working well but the menu button loads my phone again. Do you understand that the menu does not load, but rather the 'phone' menu pops up as though I'd pressed the phone icon. I wonder if the 'flex ribbon cable' underneath the buttons is misaligned somehow and when I press the menu key, it is loading the green telephone key menu because of malfunction of the ribbon.
