my bb 8900 plantform 5.2.0.104 , app version 5.0.0.1036 . there is a problem that all of third party applications offten lose internet connection ,but blackberry browser still keep internet connection.
View 5 RepliesMy iPhone 4S (with IOS 5.1 and all other App updated) is having an issue with it's internet connection. It remains connected to WiFi fine.Mail/Safari/App Store/Facebook/any internet based app cannot access the internet.No error screen is shown.The standard WiFi icon and the rotating 'in progress' wheel next to it.Sometimes I can restore the in app internet connection by turning WiFi off and then on again but not always.
So what is going on. I've not changed any setting recently to either my iPhone or router. Both have been working fine for months. My iPad and wife's iPhone are both fine also.

I use two accounts (A & B) to download apps, after I change my current account A to another one B, the applications which belongs to B are working, and I try to download a new app it's working too.
When I change account B back to A, B's apps are still working, however all A's applications still crashed. But I downloaded a new app using account A, it's working...
So what can I do about all my existing account A's applications?

It goes to download then part way through it stops and the error "There was a problem during installation. Please Try again." I have tried, uninstalling and re-downloading app world, still does it. I updated the software on my phone, still does it. I even have tried downloading the app directly from the company's website, instead of through app world, and it still does it.

All 3rd party apps (google maps, gmail, Facebook 1.6, opera, etc...), text messages, phone calls, and browsing on BB's native browser work with no problems when using the data connection. About an hour or so later, all the 3rd party apps have data connection failures yet text messages, phone calls, and browsing on BB's native browser still work fine. If I pull the battery the 3rd party apps will still work fine using the data connection until about an hour or so later and it stops again (requiring another battery pull).

I can still make calls, but the data connection is gone until I restart the phone.WiFi will still be able to connect.If bluetooth is not turned on, the data connection is fine, both 3G and 4G and wifi.

i have a 9000(os 5), a 8900(os 5) and a 9900(os 7), all without BIS, and all of them have a same problem: after a uncertain time all third-party software fail to connect to edge or wifi network. Only the native browser can access to internet. Reboot can solve the problem but it came back after a while.i'm in China, and a lot of chinese user have the same problem.
View 7 Replies View Relatedunboxed & started the Android 2.1 Defy I got the internet working instantly on GPRS/EDGE using SIM from earlier phone BUT after I downloaded a 3rd party app from Android Market called RTI India the internet just vanished .. I mean .. I don't even see or get the up-down motion arrow mark next to the signal strength on my handset anymore. Phoof ... gone with the wind .. no sign of even showing up a bit despite managing the settings (Wireless & networks + Data Manager) n no. of times. The settings are all good to go for internet connectivity.I then got an advice from Moto India that I needed to uninstall & restart the device in order to get the internet working again but sadly this didn't work. Have requested Vodafone (service provider) to come up with a solution although my gut feeling told me to try out an all-weather antidote from Motorola i.e., "factory hard reset" .. so I called Motorola India again and got exactly this advice.
Has anybody faced this problem .. if so, then has this reset worked to regain internet connectivity OR is there something else altogether ? My phone is still on Android 2.1 since FroYo upgrade is still being tested. Lemme also know if I need to remove the SIM card before doing the factory hard reset? Just wanna be sure before I go ahead with the reset
After I installed the ZumoCast Windows client on my work laptop, when I went into the office I was no longer able to connect to the Internet at all. Once I uninstalled it, Internet access was restored. It's probably an issue with the way we have our firewall set up at the office, but wanted to raise it in case anyone else had similar problems.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

When I connect it to the edge, it works like it should. I can also make phone calls with the 3g on, but not use the internet at all.
This is without even having the phone in my hand. I dont think this is related to all other issues with reception.
