After I installed the ZumoCast Windows client on my work laptop, when I went into the office I was no longer able to connect to the Internet at all. Once I uninstalled it, Internet access was restored. It's probably an issue with the way we have our firewall set up at the office, but wanted to raise it in case anyone else had similar problems.

I'm looking to purchase a Bionic this week and was looking forward to trying out the new Zumocast app on my phone. In preparation i decided to install it on my pc and give it a whirl. Everytime i try to install the windows client i get an error "The setup is about to be interrupted for the following reason: The JRE setup has been abnormally interrupted" and it cancels the install. It looks like it's a java problem so i uninstalled jave..cleaned up any leftover traces and reinstalled new java and still get the same message...
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor the first few mins zumocast is amazing, however after a few mins i can no longer connect to my laptop. The icon in the system tray will just close by itself and zumocast goes offline.i can even have the web access page up and it shos as disconnected after a few mins.

I have accessed my files (mainly movies) from another windows computer just fine. I just got a macbook air for christmas and i tried to access my movies through zumocast on my mac but none of the files showed up. I dont want to put all the files on my new laptop because it only has a 120 SSD installed. Is it possible for me to access those files on my desktop from my mac?

I have windows VISTA. I have turned my Av off, Firewall off and even the windows defender off. Your program downloads fast just will not connect to internet. I am using Cable ethernet plugged into my tower. I have a brand new Bionic and I would like to show off my daughters choral group singing.
Problem turned out to be Webroot. Had to find list of blocked programs and unblock Zumocast. add/delete program list of their AV and "add" zumocast. worked for me!
I have intalled and uninstalled the program. I have turned off my firewall and even uninstalled my AV, but I still get the message that Zumocast can't connect to the internet. My internet works fine and I have tried installing on my wifes laptop and it works on hers, so its not the router.
View 9 Replies View Relatedunboxed & started the Android 2.1 Defy I got the internet working instantly on GPRS/EDGE using SIM from earlier phone BUT after I downloaded a 3rd party app from Android Market called RTI India the internet just vanished .. I mean .. I don't even see or get the up-down motion arrow mark next to the signal strength on my handset anymore. Phoof ... gone with the wind .. no sign of even showing up a bit despite managing the settings (Wireless & networks + Data Manager) n no. of times. The settings are all good to go for internet connectivity.I then got an advice from Moto India that I needed to uninstall & restart the device in order to get the internet working again but sadly this didn't work. Have requested Vodafone (service provider) to come up with a solution although my gut feeling told me to try out an all-weather antidote from Motorola i.e., "factory hard reset" .. so I called Motorola India again and got exactly this advice.
Has anybody faced this problem .. if so, then has this reset worked to regain internet connectivity OR is there something else altogether ? My phone is still on Android 2.1 since FroYo upgrade is still being tested. Lemme also know if I need to remove the SIM card before doing the factory hard reset? Just wanna be sure before I go ahead with the reset

If I go to files, I see and can play all of the songs, but not from the music tab. It's annying because it's easier to navigate via the Music tab (albums, artists, etc.)

It remains connected to WiFi fine.Mail/Safari/App Store/Facebook/any internet based app cannot access the internet.No error screen is shown.The standard WiFi icon and the rotating 'in progress' wheel next to it.Sometimes I can restore the in app internet connection by turning WiFi off and then on again but not always.
So what is going on. I've not changed any setting recently to either my iPhone or router. Both have been working fine for months. My iPad and wife's iPhone are both fine also.

Apart from some small bugs, like if inbox is empty you can't get to your sent folder, I can send and receive emails properly. However, I can't find a normal pop3 setting Leave mail on server. Which means it will download all new messages from the server, and nothing else.Now it more or less behaves like a mapi client and syncs against the server and removes all messages from the inbox that I have deleted from the server. But I want to have the messages on the phone until I delete them.Any email program out there that I can use on the Nokia E7 that can be used as a normal pop3 client? Apart from this email problem I would say that Nokia E7 is the best phone I have had so far. If I only could get the Nokia E7 hardware and use N900 software it would be perfect

I tried resetting network settings without success.
I can connect to the laptop but DHCP doesn't auto assign the laptop an IP address so it cannot access the internet. Tried manually configuring the settings of the wireless card in windows using the same address assigned when connected via USB but it still doesn't work.
It states that subnet mask isn't compatable with ip address.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy toshiba laptop is running windows vista, and it actually says it's connected through wifi to the personal hotspot on my iPhone 4s, but I am unable to use the Internet at all. When connected via USB, I have no troubles whatsoever. When I check the different connections on the laptop, the USB connection says "local and Internet", while the wifi connection says "local" only. I'm sure this is an issue with the laptop, but I'm severely challenged when it comes to computers.
