For the first few mins zumocast is amazing, however after a few mins i can no longer connect to my laptop. The icon in the system tray will just close by itself and zumocast goes offline.i can even have the web access page up and it shos as disconnected after a few mins.

The movie will play great then when it gets to about 35 mins into a movie , i tried serveral diff movies all in avi format , the audio will go out of sync. this will also happen if i FF the movie past 35 min as well. If i FF the move 15 or 25 min it will play in sync.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhether I'm on my mobile device or on another computer (web interface), I can't browse anything from my PC with Zumocast from the Internet. When I am in my house and on my home network I have no issues, the PC shows as online and I can use whatever device I want to browse music, videos, files, etc. I am using McAfee AV and tried disabling the firewall but this didn't make a difference. Zumocast is permissioned in the program anyway for Internet access. This is actually a recent phenomenon, I used to have no issues with accessing Zumocast from outside my home network and over the Internet before, but at some point (not sure why) it started giving my the "PC Offline" message.

But every time that I try to open a jpg file, I simply get the twirling blue icon. I've let it "do it's thing" for as much as 15 min with no success.Zumocast is on a Windows Vista PC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I load up a video on ZumoCast it will start playing and then randomly pause every 30sec to a min. This is not buffering since I can see the wheel turning when it is doing this, it is a straight up pause that i then have to hit play to resume the video. I have not tested this on wifi recently, I last used it on wifi a month ago with this pausing only happening 1-2 times in a 40 min video, but it is deff happening more frequently on both 3g and 4g and is very annoying. Is there a setting I have overlooked or is this a bug in the software

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter I installed the ZumoCast Windows client on my work laptop, when I went into the office I was no longer able to connect to the Internet at all. Once I uninstalled it, Internet access was restored. It's probably an issue with the way we have our firewall set up at the office, but wanted to raise it in case anyone else had similar problems.

I can see most of my many files with the Bionic however when I try to view the files in the player the screen just goes black, like it's trying to play the files but nothing ever happens.Then when I press the back button, I get this msg "Error During video Playback" ZumoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBionic - just updated to the 1.1.2 version of the anddroid app from the market.Windows Server 2008 R2 64 Bit as my home server with the newest version of the desktop app loaded.Any time i get a text message, email or any other sound based notification on my phone 90% of the time the song that was playing does not continue after the notification sound is played. i have to unlock my phone and hit the play to continue listening to music. Songs are also cutting out/off more frequently this morning - but i see there are service issues.

I'd hate to have to convert all of these files. They do show up on the Bionic's option for stream or download and to begin transfer but just fail. Is there a way to get this to work.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the Bionic and have loaded Zumocast on my laptop and my desktop. My desktop music library is a few thousand song files in one folder. I get to listen to them using the random button on my Bionic with no problems. I have started Ripping all my music CDs to my laptop. They are stored in the Music file, the a sub file for each artist, then a sub album for each album, then the individual files. I must open each folder down to the album folder to listen to my laptop music. This means I can not use random and listen to all my files of all albums. My question is obviously, How can I listen to all the files without manually opening each folder to access them? Can Zumocast do this, or can you suggest a way for me to group all the music in one big playlist to access with Zumocast?

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently swapped from Android to the Lumia 920 so i know little or nothing about the OS.Issue: Phone battery dies over night, in the morning when i plug it into charge for 15-20 mins the phone does not turn on/ shows no battery indicator/ no signs of life.So i have to resort to doing a softreset everymorning in order for the phone to turn on. Originally i thought this was a faulty handset. However it might simply be a battery saver gimmick wherby the phone has to be charged for a longer period of time before it can turn on or show any sign of life, after being fully drained

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy alarm clock sometimes decides to snooze for an hour and 10 mins rather than 10 mins. I nearly missed work on Friday, what is going on!? I waited a long time for the X10 mini to come out and admit that I am a little dissappointed. I've had a SE W580i until recently and I am finding that there are a lot of basic things that my old phone could handle but my new one seems to struggle with.
I have used my phone alarm as my only alarm clock for at least the last 5 years. I really struggle to get up in the morning and if I turn the alarm off, I'll fall straight back to sleep again, therefore I rely heavily on the phone's snooze function to wake me up eventually after going off a few times. I was initially dissappointed that you cannot personalise the snooze duration on the x10 mini, the 10 mins is usually ok for me but in certain situations I prefer to shorten it. Please consider including this in the next software update, Sony Ericsson!But the pressing problem is the (massively) extended snooze. It happens every few days and seems to be quite random. The first few times I hit the snooze button, it works as normal. A picture of an alarm clock comes up showing the time, and a white segment of clock face is highlighted indicating how long the snooze is for (10 mins) and when it will next go off. Then, I stir due to some disturbance outside, notice that the sun is definitely brighter than it was when I was last awake, grab my phone in a panic and realise that I have been sleeping for 20 mins since the alarm last went off, and that I have less than 7 mins to get up, dressed, packed and on the bus or I will be late for work. Meanwhile my phone is cheerfully still displaying the clock face with the white segment showing that I have 40 mins left to snooze and all is well. I didn't even know it was possible for this phone to snooze for anything other than 10 mins. Unfortunately I am asleep whenever this has happened and I'm not sure how I've done it. I have tried setting the alarm when awake and then pressing various buttons, tapping the screen in various places, even pressing and holding the snooze button or swiping it. Most of these actions do nothing and the only way to stop the alarm is to slide to turn off or press the snooze button. My theory as to what is happening is that the phone snoozes for the normal 10 mins, but then when it reaches the time to go off again, it fails to go off and then the snooze time is displayed as 50 minutes (until it reaches that time again for the next hour). I think the white segment does initially show the 10 mins, I've started checking when I hit the snooze button after it happened a few times, but I might be doing something different in my sleep somehow
This seems a bit confusing so I'll give an example. If I snooze the alarm at 6 am, the white snooze segment displayed is from 6am to 6:10am. However, when I wake up again, for example at 6:20am, the alarm hasn't gone off after the snooze time has elapsed and the white segment is still showing snooze until ten past (so, the white segment is now massive and is from 6:20 to 7:10). Unfortunately I've not been able to just leave it to go off later as I've had to go to work and turn it off, so I have no idea whether it would then go off at 7:10 or whether it would cancel when the hour changed. This problem is really bugging me and I can't rely on the phone alarm any more. I don't want to spend a lot of money getting an alarm clock which I can personlise the alarm sound on and I often stay round at friends so having a phone alarm that works is very important to me. I am currently having to take my old phone along with my new one just for the alarm but it's annoying and I can't keep this up as a permanent solution.
I have downloaded a few free alarm clock apps from market but they are either ugly, even less functional than the Sony Ericsson one, unreliable or covered with irritating adverts ,so I am not considering that as a solution. To be honest having an alarm clock should really be a standard function for a phone this modern and expensive so I shouldn't have to download software to "get by" with my new phone. Overall I like the x10 mini and would like it to work as it should, then I would be very happy with it.One other thing, my calendar is working fine except that I like to set reminders for tasks, usually for 1 hour before the event. This worked fine until recenty, now for some reason (although I am still setting the reminder for 1 hour) it decides to remind me one hour before, then 15 mins, and then several times during the day until the event is finished. Mostly I use it to record work shifts so it's really annoying getting a notification every 10 minutes for 8 hours telling me to go to work, when I'm already there! If I cancel the notification alert at the top of the phone (by selecting the alert which brings the task up on the screen, then hitting ok) sometimes it reminds me again instantly (once, it did it 4 times in succession, ping-ping-ping-ping, which was a little noisy and embarassing). I don't know what's going on but if I can't stop it, I might give up on the whole smartphone calendar thing and just go back to using a paper diary. It's a shame though, I'm starting to wonder why I bothered getting an android phone at all if I can't even use basic functions on it.
Final comments - is it likely that customisable themes for your phone (like the ones in old sony ericsson phones) will become available for this phone at some point? Also does anyone know how GPS works? I've tried to use it a few times but it seems to think that I am usually located in the middle of the Firth of Tay which unless I have unknowingly developed the ability to walk on water, is definitely NOT where I am standing. Even when it manages to put me on dry land it's up to a kilometer out and has made the geotagging camera function (which I really liked the idea of) completely useless, as half of my my photos were tagged in Broughty Ferry where I've never even been and is not even in the same county. Finally I got a phone call recently and my phone died of battery before I got to it. When I turned it back on there was no record of the call or anything in missed calls and so I couldn't call them back (as I had no idea who it was!) Is this normal or is there something wrong with it?
I have a large music library and it seems that I can't access all of it from the Music tab on the zumocast app (phone and desktop). If I go to files, I see and can play all of the songs, but not from the music tab. It's annying because it's easier to navigate via the Music tab (albums, artists, etc.)

I have discovered that some of my text messages are not being sent or received. Every text shows that it sends and shows a time within a few seconds. I would say I am 90% working fine, but important texts are falling through the cracks.Text messages I send with more than 160 characters auto blend into one message natively. Recipients are only receiving part #2.They never have received the first part on dozens of tries. Always the case from home and work. I'm connected to wifi at home and work. Oddly enough, I was able to disconnect from wifi and was able to send both parts of sms messages 4 out of 5 times. When i connected back to wifi, still only the 2nd part of the sms.A few of the regular sms messages that I confirmed didn't go through were more than 100 characters, but less than 160. So far, every small or low character count message has worked.
Didn't receive a couple of texts that I was able to verify were 100+ character texts. eems to be a larger message problem, but every picture I have sent has successfully gone through.Installed Go SMS tonight. Still had the issue when sending multipart texts that only text #2 came through.I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Sprint today. We did a battery pull and he did a phone refresh remotely. I tried a test text while he was on the phone. I sent a 2 parter to my wife and it was received. I thought the problem was fixed, but the very next 2 part text only showed the 2nd part of the message. I have not been able to get a 2 parter to go through since.
I had noticed this problem before with the USB not working with non Motorola cables (INCLUDING ones purchased from VZW before the release of the bionic)5. I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
