Can anyone tell me whether I can download podcasts from my windows hard disk to the BB bold 9700 without passing through BB desktop or media manager? and if so, how? 'moving' or 'copying' the podcast files directly to the BB external drive shown on 'my computer' doesn't seem to work.

I am getting Error = 9006 when downloading a podcast, Derb Radio on TakiMag, but not other podcasts. It started occurring recently, about 3 of the last 4. This occurs on both a Windows and Apple machine. iTunes is updated. It does not occur with other podcasts. Then end result is that the podcast does not download.Â
I also get a "rebuffering stream" interruption during playback on the computer.
I would like to best way to move my existing data on itunes including library, photo, music, movies from old laptop of XP to new laptop on windows 7. I downloaded new version of i tunes in my new laptop and not sure how to migrate entire data and synch with new laptop?

I would like to download podcasts onto my phone when at home (set time) and then listen to them later when away from a data connection. There seams to be a number of possible ways of doing this on the N97 and I don't know which is the correct way. I have only managed it successfully once. My main problem is finding where the file has been saved. I would like to download the BBC Chris Moyles weekly round up. There is an enhanced version (with pictures) which I have not managed to get working on my phone. Does anyone have that working on an N97? Can I download the radio show from iPlayer to my phone and play later?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9700, and everytime i connect it with my laptop, it wud only 'charge' the battery. The laptop will not detect it at all. Not even device manager. I checked its 'settings>memory>mass storage support' and all of those but it won't work. Not even the Blackberry Desktop Software would detect it. You plug in and all it would do is charge. It has a memory card in it too.
I have tried restarting the phone, wiping the handheld, restarting system, changing the entire laptop. But still it work at all. I have also used a different USB cable (just in case) but nothing yet.
I was able to connect it with bluetooth but whats with the USB? My brother's iPhone works fine with the laptop and performs all functions properly. Just the blackberry Bold 9700 is screwing up somewhere.
I am using a DELL inspiron model and the OS is Windows 7 ultimate 32- bit.
I do have a problem with my bold 9700 . I want to Download the BB appworld but it is not working. When I want to do with the device itself it is not working, tells me device is not supported. From my PC it is also not working can´t find the software or something like that. I use the 5.0.0.442 software. If that helps anything. And also my ICQ does not work it also says device is not supported!

I'm sending it back and getting a replacement for it, so i haven't uploaded my itunes yet, but i was playing the music over bluetooth from my phone. I get this little popup control menu (See Image), but it doesn't actually allow me to control the music. Is there any fix for this, am i doing something wrong? I kept getting this error message when attempted to download software update for my Blackberry Bold 9700 via Blackberry Desktop Manager V5.01."An error has occured while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists."
My laptop was definitely connected to the internet because I was browsing while trying to update. The Desktop Manager itself recognises that it is connected to the internet, because it scanned for updates for itself on the internet and updated succefully. But when it came to downloading updates for my blackberry handset. It became oblivion to the fact that it was connected to the internet and kept giving me this senseless error report!
I'm a recent returnee to the Blackberry world, and I use a Gmail address as my primary address. I've noticed something, and this issue has been discussed in other posts, but not rectified to my satisfaction. If I delete an email on my BB, it does not delete on my Gmail account on a desktop or laptop. This can be incredibly frustrating. I tried using the Gmail mobile BB app, but it doesn't display HTML email, and my BB is used mostly for personal not for business. Maintaining an orderly email account is proving extremely difficult. I've had the DELETE ON: MAILBOX AND HANDHELD set both ways, and i've had the sync option on the MANAGE EMAIL ACCOUNTS submenu checked and unchecked, and it doesn't work any way i can set it.

I am using my laptop for traveling and I use USB CDMA modem connection to connect to the internet. Recently my wife bought a Blackberry bold 9700 hoping that she could access internet without carrying her laptop while traveling with me, sharing the same connection from my laptop. I have been trying to use WiFi to connect my bold 9700 with my laptop using ad-hoc but it seems that bold 9700 does not support ad-hoc. Therefore I am trying another way to connect to the internet from my BB using my Bluetooth. I have linked my blackberry device through bluetooth and my laptop is currently connected to the internet.
I have been trying to use my wife's BB to connect to the internet using my laptop's bluetooth connection. But I could not get it to work. Before posting here, I have been searching everywhere on the web for a guide but I could not seems to find one. Could anyone guide me on how to share my laptop internet connection so that my BB could access the web using the same connection as my laptop? If bluetooth and WiFi doesn't work is there any other way? Using USB perhaps? In short: Laptop internet Connection > Share using ? and how? > BB's can browse the web without additional data plan.
Only one problem, windows live messenger will install but cant sign in. Keeps telling me Connection 65 error. I have spoke at great lengths to Telus Tech support and they cant figure out why it is happening. Have reinstalled it at least 10 times. It has been off Blackberry world or of microsoft itself. Msn can have its issues.I can sign in on everyone elses phone...BUT MINE! No one who has tried could sign in on mine. They are still researching why it is not working.My yahoo works fine!
