I use my 9700 as my IP modem on T-Mobile and have been for a few months. Lately my download speeds seem to have been slowing. Is there anything that I can do, either to my laptop or my BB to speed things up? Eve Radio has begun to stop/start.

i updated 3 apps today on my bold 9900, bridge, evernote and messenger. Once i got them all updated and the phone restarted, the download action icon started running and hasn't stopped for nearly an hour, unless i turn off the wifi manually. it went off briefly, about 3 minutes, when i synced my playbook with my bold under the blackberry bridge app on my phone. i've tried going to the home screen where it tells which applications are running and it's just the usual ones, home, bbm, internet, phone and messages. i have tried turning off the phone several times, but still the problem persists.

Previously on standard cell phones, I would dial the phone number, insert "ppp" for pauses while the auto attendant would prompt the next step. There are 3 series of number to get all the way in. Example would be: 800-555-5555ppp555ppp5555ppp5555 and I would be in to retrieve messages.
I have tried a few different options and have be unsuccessful.My carrier is AT&T.BB is a Bold 9700.Does anyone have any suggestions??
Ok, so I had a bold 9000 for a year, but I was sick of the battery life and battery pulls.
Couple weeks ago, I sold it and got me an android. But the problem is 90% of my friends and family own a blackberry, so basically I still need BBM.Now, I'm thinking of buying a new javelin, cause I always loved the form factor so much. I had no idea how'd I ended up with the bold.I know that it won't get the OS 6, but that won't be a problem since I already got an android. So do you guys recommend it?My only concern is the battery life. My brother got an onyx and it has great battery life.How's the battery life compared to the bold 9700?Oh and I also heard the CPU is pretty slow that you can't chat/browse the internet while listening to music? Is that true?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI felt like there was no difference with the speed of the ip4 than my 3gs. I gave my 3gs to my daughter and the other night she needed to me get her signed up for netflix. There is a significant difference. I thought she had did something to cause the speed to slow down so I restored her phone It was a little faster but not like my ip4. She doesn't have the jailbreak because for some reason I can't jailbreak her phone. I do have the jailbreak and even though I notice a slight lag it is still faster at opening apps than the 3gs. I knew there was a difference in the display but I didn't realize it was so big of a difference. I sometimes wonder did I just jump on board with buying the ip4 because besides the hardware it wasn't that big of a difference. But now I see there is a huge difference. The 3gs is a great phone but the ip4 is a much better phone. It is smoother and definitely faster and you can't beat the retina display. And by the way I never had any problems with the antenna because I immediately put my phone in a case for protection even before I heard about atennagate and I always use a bluetooth or headset for my phone so if I have the issue with the ps I never noticed.

So you know normally you will get a message when your battery is low that says "Battery too low for radio use" and the radio comes off. Well twice that stopped happening. Battery was low but instead of getting the message, my phone just cuts off like if the battery is dead. Any explanation as to why this is happening? It happened two out of two times.

I have a wilson signal booster in my house. It is approximately 30 feet from my computer and the phone itself is right there with the booster. I seem to get better service with it there. However, connection is slow and sometimes just goes away. I get 4g in and out where I live but it is spotty.Seems to me with such a signal, I should have better connection. Should I?

I used to use EVO 3D, and had touch screen problems. So I just changed the Photon. I got a problem with the 4G (wimax) connection speed. I used the speedtest app to test the speed and my speed kept falling in the 2xx range, while I have 2 or 3 bar signal. This even happened during the mid night. It is even slower than my 3G ev-do rev.A.By the way, how can I reset the radio? I used to be able to do it with ##3282# on the EVO 3D. However, I can't find it on the Photon.

HOWEVER today I had about one bar left on the battery indicator and my phone just shut off unexpectedly when I was on a phone call. I couldn't get it to turn on so I did a battery pull and it did. Then... when I turned it back on it said "Power to Low for Radio Use".I'm a newbie to the BlackBerry world so: Do our phone just shut of with no warning? these are the same cords that charged my 8310 beautifully.
my wall charger charges it nice and quickly.
I do have a problem with my bold 9700 . I want to Download the BB appworld but it is not working. When I want to do with the device itself it is not working, tells me device is not supported. From my PC it is also not working can´t find the software or something like that. I use the 5.0.0.442 software. If that helps anything. And also my ICQ does not work it also says device is not supported!
