Nokia :: N91 - Unlocked Branded Phone Now Phone Startup Failed / IMEI Damaged
Feb 18, 2010I'd really be grateful to you if could help me out with this. I have got a locked Nokia N91. I went to a local mobile repair shop which claims to unlock branded phone. While it was being unlocked, the phone got some error for some unknown reason and now whenever I start my phone, all it says is ' phone start-up failed, contact the retailer' the repairer says the phone's IMEI is damaged which I have confirmed from various repair shops and would need some RPL file (which I haven't got any idea about) and since Nokia servers are down its not possible right now, he tells me to wait for a bit before the servers are up on the run again. I have no idea if its even true. All I want to know is Can My Phone really be Repaired? And if Yes whats the Criteria for doing so? And if i take my phone to Nokia repair shop. I am afraid they would not fix it since they haven't got a license to unlock branded phones.

Jun 1, 2012I can't open every applications except all the built-in appplcations (Calendar, Clock etc.), in other words, all third-party applications are crashed when I open them.
I use two accounts (A & B) to download apps, after I change my current account A to another one B, the applications which belongs to B are working, and I try to download a new app it's working too.
When I change account B back to A, B's apps are still working, however all A's applications still crashed. But I downloaded a new app using account A, it's working...
So what can I do about all my existing account A's applications?

Sep 8, 2011I recently got a Bold 9700, and I downloaded and installed app world and facebook fine. It will not let me download anything else. It goes to download then part way through it stops and the error "There was a problem during installation. Please Try again." I have tried, uninstalling and re-downloading app world, still does it. I updated the software on my phone, still does it. I even have tried downloading the app directly from the company's website, instead of through app world, and it still does it.

Apr 17, 2015While using the phone (don't matter if in a 3rd party app or in native or standby home screen), and somebody calls me a little pop up with the incoming call appears om the top of the screen (DENY/ACCEPT).
Now it comes: it doesn't matter if i tap on acept or deny call, the phone doesnt react! It continues to ring, and sometimes after tapping several times it does what it should do.
The problem is not the display, as it works fine everywhere else, and the phone app itself should be ok as i can receive/deny calls when it appears in the full screen while in idle mode. I think the problem is that little pop-up GUI. Tried to reset the phone to factory reset, but it does the same also if the phone was unsued before!
