Motorola Motocast :: Wireless Install Error When It Gets To Seting It Up, It Says That There Is No Internet Connection?
Jan 20, 2012I have been trying to install motocast wireless for a few days and cant figure it out. When it gets to seting it up, it says that there is no internet connection, but I do have internet on the comuter. I have tured off my firewall and virus (AVG) but still no go.

Apr 24, 2012I had to get a new DSL router with security and motocast stopped working on my desktop. It still works on my wireless laptop. I uninstalled the motocast application on the desktop and re-installed it and it fried my internet connection settings on the desktop. I can get them back using a windows restore point but each time I try to reinstall Motocast it kills my internet connection settings again. It was working great before the new modem was setup. I don't understand why installing Motocast would alter my computers internet connection?

Feb 10, 2010After establishing connection to PC running on Windows 7 via micro usb cable, there is a problem with keeping internet connection alive.The connection should work because the icon on the phones display shows that the phone is connected to the internet, but the connection seems to be lost somewhere between mobile device and PC (not mobile device and mobile network) although the phone is fully capable to transfer other data via cable between computer and phone, this is the same when connection is created via PC Suite or Ovi suite, or manually established connection using the mobile as a modem.The internet access is possible only after every new connections which works always randomly f.e. it fails/stops transferring data from/to internet after few seconds/minutes or transferred amount of data, it is always different.Windows diagnoses this problem as a problem with DNS server.SW version 022.007 RM-530, E72-1 Custom version 022.007.C00.001

Tried resetting the router, cleaned the sim, checked net speeds, closed apps etc and have a constant problem. One of the reasons I got the Z5 was the remote play for the PS4 and I think I've been able to use it twice. Every other time states connection too low. Can't watch YouTube on it states connection error. Can't even WhatsApp half the time.

Mar 22, 2012with a lack of Internet connection on their 4G LTE XOOM. I purchased my XOOM in October and except for one time right after I got it, I've always been connected to a wifi someplace. Last week I found myself at probably one of the few McDonald's that had no wifi. I didn't think that was an issue but it turned out to be. I spoke with the people at Motorola who couldn't diagnosis my problem so I'm supposed to send the unit back to them. In the interim I thought (and spoke to Motorola about this as well) that as a means of troubleshooting I would take it to Verizon to see if perhaps I had a bad sim card. The manager was a complete idiot (I'm being VERY nice here) and told me that sim cards do not go bad! At issue is that when the unit goes back to Motorola it goes back devoid of anything including my sim card. I called Verizon directly and the feeling I got from them was that they really wanted to resolve my problem and probably not send my unit back to Motorola. The tech was very nice but she couldn't get any internet working on my XOOM either. She is sending me a new sim card which should be here tomorrow. Let's hope it's as easy a fix as that. I do have the 3.2.6 upgrade on my unit and except for it sometimes freezing at boot up the past week or so I haven't had any other issues with it.

Nov 30, 2011bought my Defy+ in Norway a week ago. Everything except internet connection from mobile service provider works fine. Bluetooth, internet on wifi, sms etc. I have checked all the buttons for data, data roaming, visibilty etc, that is all I could find. Is there som "secret" button somewhere I may have overlooked? The SIM-card works fine on Internet also in a Samsung phone.

Sep 16, 2012I searched around and found a few forums dealing with similar issues and the previous models of the Razr, but couldn't find any solutions. I purchased a Razr M yesterday and cannot get the hotspot to function. I can connect the computer to the hotspot and I can see that connection on both the phone and the laptop, but I have no internet connection. I previously had an HTC Incredible and it worked with no issues. I have tried disabling the security, re-naming the connection, changing the channel in the hotspot settings and even changing the client start address. this is really frustrating to me because it is the primary use of this phone. (or at least it's supposed to be) has there been any solution to this issue in the previous models I missed? is anyone else having this problem?

Oct 23, 2011My XOOM returned from 4G upgrade refusing to search for WiFi once it has been allowed to connect 4G. I have experimented with many ways to improve this including changing from CDMA/LTE to CDMA only (just to test 3G connections), disabling the 'data enabled' setting, disabling WiFi too, then turning on WiFi both before and after blanking the screen, and trying all 3 options of when to change from 4G to WiFi (after screen blank, etc.). The only fix is a complete shutdown and cold boot for it to wake up and search for WiFi. The WiFi in question are the same I used before the 4G upgrade and nothing has changed but the XOOM hardware and presumably software. If it is restricted to WiFi only and I move from home to office to a public WiFi, it will happily switch back and forth UNTIL I coax it into a 4G connection. Then, it takes a cold reboot.

Sep 28, 2011Last night when I turned on my wifi at home, the wifi and phone signal bars appeared but were gray and I had no internet/data connection. I checked the wifi settings which indicated I was connected with good to excellent signal. Toggled the Wifi on and off several times, and turned phone on and off, which did not work. Went into wifi settings and told it to forget settings and reconnected, same result. When I turn off wifi, 3G appears and data connection is restored. Left the phone on in the media dock all night, and this morning when I turned on wifi, all was fine. What does gray signal bar mean?
