I have a Sensation and have connected to my Sky broadband no problem but when i am out and about and my phone shows internet connections that are available and free it searches for ip address and shows connection but will not log onto any web page saying no connection, do not understand
Once I cut my iphone on in my house, it says that it is connected to the internet, but once I try to send out text messages , it closes out and doesn't send the message. Then when I try to get into any of my other apps , they close out as well and I don't know what happens.
My iPhone 4 seems to just randomly lose connection. It will not use internet at all either wifi or AT&T internet until I completely restart my phone. I have to do this at least once or twice a day.
I am trying to get free navigation for my N97 but all my attempts fail, I have V3.01 but can not get the newer versions through SW Update or any other method.
Phone Details: Software Version : 21.0.045 Model : N97
I am disappointed on N82 navigation does not work for free. The problem is similar as on N958GB
"I have downloaded the maps and free navigation for my N95 and it works for a while. After about one minute of navigation, it asks permission to go on line and enter the shop. I say "OK". It then tells me it can not go online, even though I am connected by USB or using the wi fi.Then it stops navigation but leaves the GPS/maps running. I have used the options to visit the shop when not using navigation and on line and it tells me that no license updates are available. So, in conclusion, navigation does work on the N82 and not free of charge. Any ideas on getting around this?"
I've recently installed the latest, free OVI maps for E71 but it still connects to the internet using my t-mobile data connection.I've set the Internet connection to offline, default accesspoint to "search for WLAN" and roaming warning to on. Futhermore synchronisation is set to manual. But it still connects to internet using the t-mobile internet connection and even though it's just a few kilobytes it can cost me money if I'm outside the country. This behaviour is the same as the previous version. I used it in Thailand and downloaded the Thailand map before and set the application to offline. When I wanted to know my position it connected to the internet without even asking.I discovered the connections by accident (looking at the logs) after two weeks and it cost me about 18 euros. Even though no more than 20 Kb per day was sent (and received) by default at least 200 Kb is billed per day if a connection is made. The only way to avoid the connections being made was to set the phone to flight/off-line modus though detection of my position was a lot slower so I suspect the connections are made for a rough position detection using the mobile connection points.Though now I see mainly brief connections out are made they're still connections and I would like to be able to disable it without loosing my main-phone-function (receiving phone calls).

how to use gps without internet connection ?? I`m in Romania, I installed romanian map and voice and also have the latest software upgrade but when I search a city from Romania (searching offline) it doesnt exist, and on my friend 5800 with v40 gps its working perfect.
I just updated my E72 yesterday and apart from fixed bugs, now I've got more serious problems. I couldn't connect to the internet for sure. It says "No connection available". Besides, when I look into my contacts, I couldn't use the search mode. It says "Building cache. Search will be available in a moment."I've done everything, from re-update the same firmware version and also restoring phone settings, hard reset. Nothing happened. Not fixed.
Have a new e52 with the latest firmware. The problem is when I connect to a WiFi access point, but then leave the area and try to re-connect, it keeps trying to access the last WiFi spot. I have to turn off WiFi then try and re-connect to the Internet.
Any one can help, I had installed fmms apps and then uninstalled it but it created a connection "MMS".Now I want to remove this one from connections list but I can't.Any one can help?
I just bought mine and it is running on V 10.2010.12-9, it worked great at first, but after some times of use it no longer automatically connect to the internet when needed, I've to manually connect every time by click on the top bar icon, reboot many times but no help, is this a bug ? and how do I change from 3G to 2G, it seems there is no way to do it.
No Internet connection in ovi maps, though web works without problems. Program settings/navigation is configured to proper access point. But ovi maps connects to other access point which doesn`t work.
I'd like to use Ovi Maps without any SIM card inserted. But I fail to obtain "green bars" and GPS fix. With my sim inserted (and the internet connexion available), I don't face any problem using Maps as I get the fix in 3 seconds.
N97 with all software up to date, same as PC Suite.
I can do "Connect to Internet" (from the tools menu) when the phone is linked via the USB cable. When it's on the Bluetooth, the option "Connect to Internet" is greyed out and not available.
Even if I go Tools -> Options, when I click "Connect to Internet" to configure something, PC Suite shows "You must connect your device to be able to change settings".
I just got a new Nokia N97 mini today. I was really excited to log onto the internet, but it doesn't work, using O2 Mobile Web on pay as you go (unlimited internet).
I can log onto the internet if I connect to my router, through the WLAN, but I'm assuming you can connect through the network provider too, for if you want to use the internet while out of the house?
I called up O2 services and they set they didn't have any listed settings that they could send to me, and that it would be best if I just look through google.
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem with O2, and if it could be fixed? Or if I should just get a new SIM card with another network that can provide unlimited internet on pay as you go, and that WILL work on my new phone?
i have a N97 mini since 3 month. I not have a phone plan with internet and i don't need that. But i have always a pop-up for a internet connection. I would like remove this pop-up.
My recently performed a hard reset on my phone after trying to get the new Ovi maps loaded onto my phone. After successfully getting everything to work I noticed that my internet connection to Orange always switches on, even after going to connection manager and disabling it. I have tried everything I know but am unable to stop the phone doing this. It really drains the battery. Any help to understand why this is happening and a solution to stop it would be greatly appreciated.
I seem to have lost my internet connection the messages I keep getting are.'Internet connection timed out' or 'no internet connection'.Only had phone 1 month, any advice appreciated.
My X6 started playing an audio alert every now and then. When this happens, the screen stays dark and there is no notifications. I found that when I hold the red button the phone asks if it can close the data packet connection. After a while it connects again automatically. There is no open applications. I have changed the internet connection so that it asks for user confirmation and if I cancel it, it just pops up again after a while. How can I determine which process or application is trying to access the internet?
Recently I have just moved to Spain, therefore I have unlocked my C7 and bought a new Spanish sim (Yoigo) for mainly accessing the internet. However I am unable to access the Yoigo internet. Everytime I try to, it says 'Connecting to T-Mobile internet' (My old provider). I've tried all sorts of settings but no luck. Anyone know what I can do?
My E71 used to work fine in car hands free via bluetooth - now it pairs OK but then gives "unable to create bluetooth connection" message. Another E71 works fine.
I did try (twice) to e-mail Nokia care - each time I filled in all details only to get a Gateway timeout message when I tried to send it - and all details wiped out!
Have just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.
i bought a used e71 and it has still the 110fw on it so today i decided to upgrade. But i can't the usb connection to get working (BT syncing works well).i'm connecting with CA-101 provided, no hubs or rear usb ports (tried many) what happens is: on the phone prompts mode selection.. all regular on pc nothing happens, no sound, no "unknown device" listed in Control Panel's Device Managerobviously i've installed pc suite last version, tried to reinstall it (by also cleaning with the tool), tried ovi suite, tried a different pc (XP SP2) and it's all the same.I've also tried to *#7370# my phone, but the problem its still there.
when trying to access the Internet, any application, any type of access point: Error "connection not available". WLAN is connected but no browsing, no disconnects, WLAN disconnects just off the phone.
I dont have a data plan (edge/gprs/3G). I would like to connect my Nokia C5 to internet to download applications from the Nokia Ovi Store. Is it possible to connect it to internet over USB or Bluetooth using my home internet access (DSL)?If so, how do I configure my phone and computer to share internet?
