My blackberry torch is stuck on some sort of a test menu. There is two menu's come up. I can't get it off my phone. I have pictures of them but they are a mirror image as I took them with my cam.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI just got my device back from the repair depot. I sent it in b/c I cant charge my battery. Everything else worked great on the device. I was told that it was out of warrenty and it was sent back. (Not a problem, I have a broken screen 9800 that I was using to charge my battery in the first place)When I got my device back, it is stuck on a white screen that gives me an option on testing the camera, LED, FLASH, etc.. But it does not give me the option of exiting or anything. When I plug it into Desktop Manager, I get that it doesnt connect and gives the options of retry or upgrade. So I go and press update, it connects and starts working. It gets upto the JVM and then it states that it can not connect to the device.What can I do here? It was fine (software wise) before I sent it off and the depot screwed it up!!! What steps can I take into getting my Torch back to where it was?

I am attempting to get skins working with my Motorola V620, but I'm having some issues. I've followed the guides best I can, and don't know where to go from here. I run RSD Lite, and then run skiman, which gets everything loading. One thing of note, it never loads the Moto skin. It does not even appear. However, I have successfully installed 3 different skins, and whenever I reload them in skiman, they all appear just fine. The problem is there is no "Skins" in the personalize menu on the phone. I have attempted to add it with P2k tools with no success, as well as edited seem 0032 offsets 53 and 54 to allow for skins. But still nothing.
Any ideas why the skin option is not showing up in my personalize menu? Any help would be appreciated. And kudos to all the hard work on this forum.
My menu button loads my 'phone' and not the menu for the phone. I cannot access the menu that includes: hide, move, open tray etc. I cleaned up the phone and uploaded the newest software via the BB desktop application software. I ended up cleaning it up so well it seemed to go back to factory settings as I lost all my apps. It seemed to solve the problem though and I got my menu button to work properly again. I have since uploaded App World and a new theme. The button still worked properly for 24 hours. Today, I turn it on and all is working well but the menu button loads my phone again. Do you understand that the menu does not load, but rather the 'phone' menu pops up as though I'd pressed the phone icon. I wonder if the 'flex ribbon cable' underneath the buttons is misaligned somehow and when I press the menu key, it is loading the green telephone key menu because of malfunction of the ribbon.

In the menu for, say... text massaging, at the top I have two entries that read:"Reply with Vlingo" and two that read: "Translate with Navita". (There are several duplicates)
I uninstalled the app and then re-installed it, yet the duplicates are still there. Given that there are several entries and several programs that have these duplicate entries in the menu, they are cloggin up the menu.
How can I edit out the duplicates?
I just bought my 9850 about 4 months ago. Now my escape and menu buttons don't work. It went from being able to either one down for over 5 seconds to get them to respond to nothing happening at all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a blackberry torch 9800 and recently when the screen is down (i.e. covering the keyboard) the call answer key and the menu key do not work. They work when the phone is raised, but not when it's not. I have tried restarting (both soft and hard) and have removed applications as well. I have since done a 'restore factory settings' on it. This seemed to work for all of 10 or so minutes but there after it reverted back to the keys not working when the cover is down.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with the menu/BlackBerry button (whatever it's called) The button seems to be stuck. So when I push it the menu will come up but it will automatically do what is highlighted, which is often close or open the tray if on the home screen. If I lock the phone it will darken but then lighten up as if I have pressed the button, but I haven't. It will say screen locked but will continously darken and lighten back up.
I was having this issue a little while ago and even took my phone apart to clean as I thought that was the issue but it did not help. Then I needed to charge it, which I normally do by plug in, but this time I used usb to computer. There seemed to be a substantial update for my phone which once completed fixed the issue with the button. Which was a huge relief as I was thinking I would have to pay somebody to fix and I don't want to do that. It is very pricey.
Well today it started back up. I connected it to the computer but it said there were no updates and did not fix the button problem. And yes I have tried battery pull.
I have too many icons ( and I guess apps too) running in the screen when you want to switch apps. I have tried going in the app and then clicking "close" in the menu, the end call key and nothing seems to work. Some applications have the word "exit" on their menus and that seems to do the trick for some and but not all.

They will flicker occasionally but theyd o not stay lit up. Seems like maybe a connection is lose or something.
