View 1 Replies View RelatedI didn't install Galaxy TTS because I don't use S-Voice and I want to save storage space and cut down on the number of running processes. That's why I uninstalled all the updates and disabled it. The same goes for a number of other Samsung and other apps. But Galaxy Apps has just updated itself and proceeded to install TTS and some other stuff that I didn't want. I can uninstall them again but if I've been refusing to install the updates, why would Samsung think it was ok to install them anyway?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI decided to root and installed a custom recovery on my G920l.
The root went fine and I installed TWRP but once I tried to reboot into the recovery my phone has frozen and doesn't want to turn off.
I don't get what I did wrong and how to fix it or at least how to turn the phone off?
I installed a 32GB Transcend SDHC card into my S2 around 2 or 3 weeks ago. At first it was all good, but then last week, I started noticing the battery started draining quicker than normal. Usually, I can get around 10 hours of use, but this went down at first to 8 hours, then rapidly plummeting to 6 then 4 hours. The shop where I got the phone from advised that it could be software corruption or faulty battery, and they were happy to send the phone off to Samsung to get it checked out, but I decided to run a few tests myself. I bought myself a genuine Samsung high capacity battery (I need it anyway), and installed it. I noticed that the battery drain was still happening, so it was not faulty battery. Then I decided to try removing the SD card.
View 6 Replies View RelatedDaily Racing, Clean Doctor, Clean Master, TouchPal all have ended up on my Galaxy S5 without me installing them. Each will reinstall themselves a few minutes after I uninstall them. AVG finds the first 3 apps to be 'unwanted programs' Lookout finds no faults with any of them. What app is controlling them? and how do I delete them for good? Noticed them a few weeks ago and uninstalled them, a few days later they were back. Now it does it in minutes, phone is becoming unusable because AVG keeps popping up to tell me there back. Its like the Poltergeist movie 'their here!'

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new here, normally wouldn't post anything since I think I can find my own answers, but after digging through this forum I could not find anything that could bring my Samsung Galaxy II back to live, so here it goes..ot this phone yesterday from a friend who recieved a new one, so I thought i was being smart by trying a hard reset to remove all his settings/history/etc.. (I know now i need a usb restore as well, but...) I switched it off, and used Vol Up + Home + Power and it entered the downloading screen and i said: "Yes, reset this thing" it started downloading (I think) so i put it aside.. but I think the battery was running low because when i checked back a couple minutes later everything was black, and has been since.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S2 to ICS (XEU version) and since then the Android email application has been constantly downloading data in the background. It's used 500mb in 24 hours, although it's only downloaded a few hundred kb of emails.
Samsung want me to take it to a service centre to flash ICS off and re-install it, but the nearest place is miles away. how I can stop this because it's now gone over my data cap on my phone contract? I've no idea how to uninstall ICS myself!
I know my way around PC hardware and OS's.My problem sarted when I went to the T-mobile update. Phone stuck on "downloading update...", blue text on white background. Unable to boot into recovery, but was able to get into download mode. I found the correct ICS firmware update .tar file, but Odin 1.85 will not work. It always sticks on Setup Connection. Others fixed this by using differnt USB port and/or cable. Tried all 10 USB ports, nada; don't have another cable, but I'm out to get one this morning. I assume if I can get to download mode I'm not totally bricked. Only way I can get into d/l mode is to remove the battery, otherwise phone just boots to white update screen.I'm looking at a $200 brick! Wonder if I should just walk in to a T-mobile outlet and demand a fix.

So, here's the deal, I'm trying to download files from file sharing sites, mostly RAR's, I've tried downloading from MEGAUPLOAD, RAPIDSHARE, WUPLOAD, FILESERVE, FILESONIC. All I get is an HTM file if I just click, If I long click on the "download now" button and "Save Link" all I get is a BIN file. I've tried downloading on the STOCK browser, tried changing the useragent (about:useragent) to desktop. (This I don't think works, it's weird, I've also tried changing the useragent from the debug menu but the option isn't even there). I've tried downloading on the STOCK browser after installation of ASTRO file manager (ticking the allow download all files). I've tried downloading on Dolphin Browser HD (V.6.1.0) with the useragent changed to desktop and I either get a HTM file (sigle click) or a corrupted file (long, save link) I've tried using OPERA Mini (6.1) with the same results as on the STOCK browser.
Recently got the unlocked Galaxy S6 but every time I've tried to download large apps (Asphalt 8 and Monument Valley) from the Play Store I've been getting an error 905. I've erased cache and cleared data from the Play Store but it keeps doing it. Had to refund Monument Valley, in fact. I've got the 32GB version by the way. I've searched for this error but it seems to only have affected old devices where internal memory was a problem.
I solved this by keeping the screen on while downloading and installing Asphalt 8 and not using the device till it had finished installing.
Can anyone assist with resolving the problem I have with downloading of the contacts list from a Samsung Galaxy Gio to the CK-200? I also find it strange that when pairing the devices, the phone does not request the code 0000 that is displayed by the CK-200.The other problem experienced is the breaking up of the incoming callers voice and a loud humming noise. The CK-200 has V4.0 software.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my GS2 i9100 from GB to ICS (4.03) as provided by my carrier (Bell). I am able to pair the phone and media audio with my car stereo (Hyundai Sonata) however I get the message "Unfortunately bluetooth share has stopped" every time it tries to download my contacts to the car. This appears after a minute or so. This was not an issue with GB as it downloaded seamlessly and I was able to use the built in voice calling feature of my car with no problems. The first time the download was tried, the phone rebooted. Since then I have removed the pairing from the phone and car and started over, as well as removed all synced accounts from my contacts except those actually on the phone. Still no luck.

I got a SG2 from the UK and am now using it in a different country.
