I recently pirchased nokia X6 16 gb... its totally fresh i haven't put any songs, or files in it.. but when i see the memory status: for phone memory it shows 276 mb free(out of 512 mb) and used is 44 mb where as in internal memory 334 mb is used and 14.6 gb is free.. where are the remaining space

Why can't the BB OS use some of the removable memory card space to free up the internal memory. To me this is a no brainer, most of us have 16 or 32gig cards, I would be more than happy to set aside some space so the phone could run better. Most of the new flash cards these days are reasonably fast and could easily be used as a swap file place holder or reside some of the dormitory features.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have an Atrix 4g (stock)running gingerbread 2.3.6 i noticed a file listed as LOST.DIR. on my internal memory when i open it the names of the files are listed as numbers ranging from 92 to 1315. 126 files in total. when i try to open them it keeps saying "unable to open this type of file". when i long click it for file options and click info it shows me file properties with the following info "? 98 TYPE:FILE, FOLDER:/MNT/SDCARD/LOST.DIR, SIZE: 4KB, MODIFIED ON: DEC 31, 1979 7:00PM". every file size is 4kb and they all say modified on Dec 31, 1979 @ 7:00pm. can any one out there please tell me what this is and if they are safe to delete or how to restore the files. i am very confused about the modified date, i was 2yrs old in 1979

so I was going to buy gta for my s5 I started to download it but I did not know that it would take up 2.4 GB wile I had like 1 GB so I did not have enough space and I would just get an error so I deleted tons of apps till I got 1.2 something GB when I tryed to download the app again it said it was downloading and would take 2.4 GB but I had 1.2 so once it reached 1.2GB/2.4GB it gave the not enough space error so, I checked to see how much space I had, well... i had 109 MB... yep. GG google playstore. GG. so I refunded gta (gives my money back AND uninstalls it) and checked back at my storage... still 109 MB. How do I delete this 1.2 GB unfinished file off my phone?? I looked all over my phone and can't figure it out. I am rooted on s5 Verizon by the way.

View 17 Replies View RelatedI have an E75 for a few months now and I have a problem that totally confuses me: I constantly keep getting the System Message that my Internal Memory C: is full and that I need to either delete files or move them to the flash memory. Sometimes it also refuses to open emails, because of the lack of memory.
The sad part is that almost all of my data already is on the flash card, not on the internal drive. There's literally nothing left to delete from the internal memory. I also tried deleting my personal data from the web browser, but it didn't help much. I checked the data that is stored on the internal memory and it is about 18MB while the phone's file manager sais I have only about 2MB free memory left. 20 MB total memory size seems a little small to me, shouldn't it be 50MB?

but for some reason since morning my memotyr that is reserved for installed applications is acting weird..it used to show 1.8GB free but now suddenly only shows 900mb free , in the mornign it shwed only 183mb free etc.. and when i copy some pictures using mass stroage mode my 2GB memory space gets reduced... my RSS folders stopped working since last night... dont know what is going on.. acting really weird.. did I not complete the uninstallation of easy debian?

Windows gave me an alert saying that the phone should be analysed because of a faulty file system. I ignored this message. When I check (settings, memory) It says memory card corrupt 1.86GB available. When I check File Manager, It says no files/folders.
