I have a Nokia XpressMusic and I bought a memory card with (allegedly) 1.9 GB of storage, yet the card runs out of space when I use up a small percentage of space. I have formatted the thing, but still no joy.
View 4 RepliesWhy can't the BB OS use some of the removable memory card space to free up the internal memory. To me this is a no brainer, most of us have 16 or 32gig cards, I would be more than happy to set aside some space so the phone could run better. Most of the new flash cards these days are reasonably fast and could easily be used as a swap file place holder or reside some of the dormitory features.

If I try to store songs or some other files like wallpapers, its showing the memory full. And the shopkeeper told me that the card is of 2GB, but it shows me the no space everytime and not able to upload any song or anything else. I have argument with the shopkeeper and he just lingering down.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently i installed easy debian package to my N900.. & yesterday i tried uninstalling it..i removed easy debian & easy chroot from app mgr & then deleted the debian image from the home directory..
but for some reason since morning my memotyr that is reserved for installed applications is acting weird..it used to show 1.8GB free but now suddenly only shows 900mb free , in the mornign it shwed only 183mb free etc.. and when i copy some pictures using mass stroage mode my 2GB memory space gets reduced... my RSS folders stopped working since last night... dont know what is going on.. acting really weird.. did I not complete the uninstallation of easy debian?
I recently pirchased nokia X6 16 gb... its totally fresh i haven't put any songs, or files in it.. but when i see the memory status: for phone memory it shows 276 mb free(out of 512 mb) and used is 44 mb where as in internal memory 334 mb is used and 14.6 gb is free.. where are the remaining space

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry 8330 and I am having problems with my SprintTV, NFL Mobile Live App, etc where I cannot watch any video or audio from those apps. I took it into a Sprint Tech Store, and they thought that maybe it was becuase I either had an after market App that was interfereing with the audio/video feeds, or that I was simply using too much memory and it was interfereing with the audio/video. Tehy couldn't tell me where to look for the Device Memory and had no idea how much it came with out of the box and how much I was using.
I need to know how much Device Memory comes on a BB 8330, where to look in my BB to find out how much I'm using, and need to know if there are any suggestions or tricks I can perform to free some up without deleting too many apps (if that's even possible). From the other forum answers I've read, I don't think there's a way to free space without deleting content. I see Device Memory in my Options, but it only says:
File Free: 27080648 Bytes
Is that a lot left, or is that close to being depleted? Is that actually the Device Memory, or is that something else? There's nowhere that tells me how much I started with.

I only have 55.1MB of free space and I cant download apps in app world cos it uses up all the free space. My space has been as low as 6.1MB. This is my 2nd phone from Virgin as I had the problem with the 1st 9300 and I had to send it back and they said that it was a problem that cant be fixed so they sent me a reconditioned phone but this phone seems to have the same problem too.
I have a 4gb media card installed to save all my pics and music onto.
I am using SE Xperia X10.Everything is ok but camera flash is completly useless. and the builtin memory is too low for installing program. hoping the coming andoid 2.3 version for X10 will improve camrea auto focus and program can be install at external memory card.

Right now it shows my phone as having only about 20MB of space left for apps in it (all I've downloaded is Facebook mobile, 1 theme, and 2 games from app world). I have an 8GB card in my phone - can i set it where the memory for saving apps is the card instead of the on board memory? Instead of telling me not to download the app, my phone deleted all the music on it. They are still all on itunes on my computer, however when I try to re Auto-fill or sync my phone it refuses to put the music back on the phone because still thinks that all the music is on the phone. This is extrmely frustrating. I have deleted all my photos off the phone (these were taking up the most memory space) in the hope that the music would reappear but it hasnt. how to get my my music back onto my phone?

Is there any way to browse the internal phone memory on the Desire (the same way you can browse the SD card's contents) or otherwise see what apps/files are taking up what space in the internal memory? View 1 Replies View Relatedso I was going to buy gta for my s5 I started to download it but I did not know that it would take up 2.4 GB wile I had like 1 GB so I did not have enough space and I would just get an error so I deleted tons of apps till I got 1.2 something GB when I tryed to download the app again it said it was downloading and would take 2.4 GB but I had 1.2 so once it reached 1.2GB/2.4GB it gave the not enough space error so, I checked to see how much space I had, well... i had 109 MB... yep. GG google playstore. GG. so I refunded gta (gives my money back AND uninstalls it) and checked back at my storage... still 109 MB. How do I delete this 1.2 GB unfinished file off my phone?? I looked all over my phone and can't figure it out. I am rooted on s5 Verizon by the way.

Due to battery life that's gone down to about 7 hours from an initial average of about 11, I decided it was time to reset my phone to see if that might work (though I've taken to the less nuclear option of allowing Google to restore my apps and app data from Google's backup).
Before the reset, I'd had almost every app that could be moved to the SD card moved to the SD card.
The reset did not affect the SD card.Now, I'd like to move all my apps that can be so moved, moved onto the SD card again. My question is, since the reset did not affect my SD card (I'd even removed it for one of the two resets that I've done since last night), is there app stuff from my previous installation on my SD card, stuff that I should be able to delete now to make space for my new set of apps that I want to move to the card?If so, how do I clear out that old app stuff?
I assume that I need to...If I had Audible installed on the card before, and I now have Audible in my phone's internal storage, if I move it to the card, is there any chance that it'll recognize the previous installation, re-associate itself with it, and thus save me the time of downloading previously downloaded audiobooks?
My "other" space is taking up 5.8Gb of space. I have restored many times and erased emails,messages,history and cache.

using an app tells you to "free up space on your device to continue" but you have already verified there is enough space on your device than needed by the app (17 gigs free).
