Nokia Nseries :: N8 Failed To Startup Contact The Retailer?
Aug 25, 2011
it happened on my N8 dark grey before two days, two times. I did hard reset (volume down, camera, menu, power). For now, everything is ok, but could it happened again.
ive had the Nokia n8 for a year and ive hated every single day of that year...... the nokia n8 is THE most problametic phone ive ever had.... and will be my last ever nokia phone. no matter what i do i get the nokia startup failed contact retailer. yes ive restarted my phone at least 100 times ...... yes i literally restarted my phone 100 times no exagaration.... my phone will start up like usual ..... then after a while it will give me the nokia n8 startup failed contact retailer is there any way to get this fixed without having to reset the whole phone to factory settings??.... ive been able to bypass the startup failed contact retailer by quickly quickly clicking on the small button on the left that then gives me the menu with all my applications but realisticly i shouldn't have to go through all the work to get my phone up...
hey ,is there a software or something i can do online to get my phone working again? i recently did a software update for my N97, after the update the phone was supposed to start, the next thing i see on my screen is phone startup failed contact retailer.( which is a long shot considering where i stay)
I recently bought a nokia X6. while browsing through my photos it suddenly went dead and whenever i try to switch it on i get a message "Startup failed, contact your retailer"? Can this problem be solved? And if the sofware is corrupt, is the software available online incase i have to flash? what could be the possible reason for this?
why my N8 is always showing"Phone start-up failed. Contact retailer" everytime it's low on battery. I need to shut it off and on plenty of times and pray that it wont be in the screen. What to do?And, how do i connect it to a TV to view my videos using the HDMI cable?
my phone showing Phone failed to start. Contact the retailer on startup i went to nokia care they me we r not able to repair/update software it will be send to company... is their any other method for resetting phone firmware?
I used to install Java games and apps, some of them are not trusted and the others are trusted and this was the main reason for the 1st time I see this error msg about the failed Start-up.. after I fixed this problem by soft reset, I installed my apps normally and I tried to avoid untrusted Java apps but I installed vBag to play the Gameboy Advance games and I installed Poker game which showed me "Memory Full" after I play it or read about the rules for some minutes while I installed the game on my memory card and not the phone memory.. "Phone Start-up Failed" always happen after connection or packet data ending questing with Yes or No
I get this message when i want to start up the phone. A few days ago it also had problems to start up: I pressed "on" button untill it vibrates (then it normally starts up) but it didn't do anything, after some tries (around 15) it did start up. Then today the phone just shutted down and wasn't able to start up. And I get the message in the title.I have tried hard reset (shift, space, backspace + on) but it doesn't do anything.I have the newest firmware for my country (Belgium) and i think its 92.003 but not entirely sure.
I left my phone to charge one night before going to bed (pulled out the charger when it finished). The next morning the phone had shut down by itself and when I tried turning it on I got white lines accross the screen. That happened for a few more times (sometimes blue or green or red lines), and after I removed and put the battery back in the following has been happening since then : Starting the phoneWhite screen with Nokia logo shows upMessage "Phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer". Phone hangs. If I press the shut down button, lines appear and fade out before phone shuts down.
I tried the hard reset method, but either I am doing it wrong, or it just doesn't apply here. I tried connecting it to my PC, but it is not recognised (probably because a message to select PC Suite doesn't show up). The phone is a few months outside warranty, so it is not financially wise (or viable) to send it for repairs. I am an advanced user and I'm willing to try any flashing utilities guides to restore it to working condition. Could it be the battery needing a switch? I tried removing the memory card & SIM, but the problem persists.
Yesterday i charged my phone using laptop as battery was fully dried out. after that i am getting this error.Phone start-up failed. contact the retailer.I charge my phone fully later on with charger. also tried restarting so many times, tried different sim card, removed sim card, removed memory card...but no luck.
When upgrading my Nokia E7 from symbian anna to symbian belle, the phone switched off and on restarting, it display a text: "phone startup failed, contact retailer."
I have a nokia n97 and I want to know how to complete format it. I want to delete everything on my phone : settings and applications and everything and reinstall the software again ! I want to get it back as the first time I get it. I don't just want to restore factory settings.
I'd really be grateful to you if could help me out with this. I have got a locked Nokia N91. I went to a local mobile repair shop which claims to unlock branded phone. While it was being unlocked, the phone got some error for some unknown reason and now whenever I start my phone, all it says is ' phone start-up failed, contact the retailer' the repairer says the phone's IMEI is damaged which I have confirmed from various repair shops and would need some RPL file (which I haven't got any idea about) and since Nokia servers are down its not possible right now, he tells me to wait for a bit before the servers are up on the run again. I have no idea if its even true. All I want to know is Can My Phone really be Repaired? And if Yes whats the Criteria for doing so? And if i take my phone to Nokia repair shop. I am afraid they would not fix it since they haven't got a license to unlock branded phones.
After every boot I get this message - Phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer. I had to re-start it after 5-7 times to make it work, its really annoying.
Since the Belle upgrade for some reason and very randomly I start receiving a "system error" at startup. Phone freezes and have to be restarted. It happens 1:100 but it happens.
Moreover, at startup a pop up appears with the new sms messages, but it starts looping and the only way to turn it off is to press the menu button and change view.
For some weeks now im getting "installation fails" message when trying to install some of the software from OVI or from downloaded files. For example, Nokia Sleeping Screen. It downloads and the Ovi bar says "installing" then a smaller window appear in the lower section of the screen saying "preparing installation" then "Installing" then after a few seconds "installation Failed. Some apps for example Spotify installs perfectly, but here the bottom window don't appear at all. I have made a full reset, problem remains. I did a 3 finger reset, problem remains.
My nokia maps app is not working on my nokia 603 but the nokia drive app is working well This has happened during a failed update to latest nokia maps... .. How to get nokia maps working again?
I updated the Firmware of my N97 mini (to v30.0.004) after the download and update, the phone could not start-up again. Phone says "Start-up failed. Contact the Retailer." I updated it by dialing *#0000# then clicked on OPTIONS, CHECK FOR UPDATE?
i was trying to reinstall my phone firmware using nokia suite but after backup my pc crashed and a blue screen comes up it was a kernel security check failure. I am using windows 8 release preview any solution for this problem
