View 3 RepliesI have recently purchased a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone pre-owned from a local market and when I turn it on I get "SIM Card Registration Failed" and when I try to make a phone call I get "Connection error". I have checked the IMEI using url... and it is not shown as stolen.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get my phone to connect up to SIP but I keep getting error messages. I can use the same connections I am feeding it within fring without any issue, but it just won't allow me to connect using the built-in SIP client.
Can anyone offer some words of wisdom as to what might be going on? I did upgrade my firmware to some 400.x version which, may or may not have killed the deal.
I've spoken with two of my SIP providers and both of them are stumped. There are a billion reports of Nokia users having this issue. I called technical support at Nokia but they were no help at all. I think there are some language barriers that just aren't clicking.
Everything else on the phone seems just fine. Just can't connect using SIP. I would just bite the bullet and use fring for my VoIP calls but I really like how the SIP client is integrated right into the OS of the phone.
Today I bought a new Nokia 5233. it's not accepting my vodafone sim but BSNL sim is working fine. The vodafone sim is working fine in another mobile. Please suggest me to get out of the problem.

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust bought a X2-02 Dual SIM, and have a problem:One specific SIM fails to register to the Network. This is a Swiss Orange SIMIt is recognized, I'm asked for the password, but it cannot find a network, and after a couple of minutes I get the message "sim card registration failed"This SIM works with every other phone, Dual Sim or not.I have this problem regardless from the order of the SIMs.This SIM is the only one I had this problem with, so far, in this phone.it is also the only foreign one (thus looking for an alternate network) I tried so far. The Other SIM is a Portuguese Vodafone one. It works with all the other combinations I tried:With TMN PT, or other Vodafone PT, regardless of the order of the SIMs.

I know that this problem has been written all over the internet but seriously... no solution? The E71 works perfectly with other sim cards and no, it's not blacklisted. The sim card I want to use works perfectly on other cell phones like my Sony Ericsson (which I don't want to use). My E71 is not sim-locked and I do not know where to go than here! A weird thing is that the E71 can not find the operator I want to use either and the operator's net is really good on other phones.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have one Blackberry Bold 9700. I can't have access to blackberry internet services, BBM etc.I check the Host routing table and there is "no entries ". I make a Diagnostic Test and I check with my provider and they said that all my profile is OK. I delete the service book and they resend it to me but nothing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E72 with software version 071.004. I have some problems with it when I receive SMS messages from anyone. The following situations might happen: The SMS messages arrive delayed with more than one hour or never arrive. The phone shows a "SIM card registration failed" error message and disconnects from the network immediately after the other person sends me the SMS message. In this case I have to switch it off and on again in order for it to reconnect to the GSM network.
This is very bad because most of the times I get disconnected from the network and see it hours later. These problems appeared since the very first releases of the firmware that were running on the phone. I am sure this is not a network problem because I've put my SIM card in another phone and the messages arrive instantly. I am also sure this is not a SIM card problem because I've just renewed my SIM card and the problem is still there. So by eliminating these possible causes I can only suspect the phone!
I can not update the maps ovi 3.04 because fault in installation of new software (error number 5). This happens after updating v 50 in NOKIA 5800.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI purchased your Nokia 5800 Xpress Music mobile phone and I am trying to update the software/driver to improve 1: Touch Screen scrolling, 2: version of OviMaps, 3: Ovi Contacts, 4: SW application, and 5: WLAN performance.I called technical support for mobile phones, unfortunately it is unavailable according to the recording, i've waited for i think its wrong, but nothing happened the call dropped. The current software version is V31.0.101, Software version date: 16-09-2009, type: RM-356 and it does not upgrade. I have tried using my phone options to upgrade/update the software, this did not work, i have tried using the Nokia Software Updater but it can not find the new version of the software, and I have tried searching for the new software version by using my phone code under the battery and still it can not find the new software version.Has anyone resolve this issue? View 9 Replies View RelatedBoth PC Suite and Ovi were working perfectly until I updated my Ovi to the latest version early this week. Now, whenever I start Ovi, it will crash after 15-20sec if my 5800 is connected ( either bluetooth or USB ). If the phone is not connected, Ovi will stay without any issue. Btw, PC Suite is working fine. Here is the error message pop-up on the screen when Ovi crashed.
"Nokia Ovi Suite 2 has stopped working". A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". No solution is actually provided and the only option is to "Close program". Here is the windows error log :

This is what i did so far :
i) Uninstall Ovi , re-download from Nokia web, reinstall : Failed to fix
ii) Uninstall Ovi and all Nokia related software , clean Registry and reinstall Ovi Suite : Failed to fix
iii) Format and reinstall Windows 7 ( Yes, I did !!! ) , re-download and reinstall Ovi Suite : Failed to fix
I strongly believe this error is caused by the latest version of Ovi Suite, as i have another laptop which running with the older version of Ovi Suite works perfectly with my 5800. I have uninstall the Ovi Suite, I will only try it again when next release is available.
Everytime i open ovi maps and try to go online i get the error message 'something went wrong and the connection failed'?

View 5 Replies View RelatedNokia have finally updated 5800 FW but i am unable to download it because the NSU isn't working correctly. Everytime I open the program I get the message; "Nokia Software Updater has attempted to connect to the internet but has failed three times. This could be because of a poor-quality, slow or intermittent internet connection, or restrictions due to a firewall.
If requested by your firewall, Nokia Software Updater needs the following applications to gain access to the internet:
nsl_host_process.exe
nsu_u_clienti.exe" The program will then close down.
I have a good, steady internet connection (10mb) and all firewalls are off.
I have a nokia E5 phone which I use as just a Mail for Exchange Checker/ Bicycle GPS/Internet and general all around disposable phone. For a $40 phone it is just fantastic! It does so much for so little. I just wish nokia made their phones more apps friendly. My E5 does not have a mobile carrier phone plan since I have another phone that does that. This E5 is set up as a rough duty phone for the phone features such as sports tracker.
For the phone to work with WIFI with Mail for Exchange's auto email retreival, (since I don't have data since my phone has no service) I had to get an old expired sim card from another phone. (won't auto retreive with phone in offline mode)But the phone always displays "Sim card registration failed" and I have to click out of it constantly. Is there a way to remove that notification? I already know that it failed. It's an expired card just to get the phone to work in General mode.
For some weeks now im getting "installation fails" message when trying to install some of the software from OVI or from downloaded files. For example, Nokia Sleeping Screen. It downloads and the Ovi bar says "installing" then a smaller window appear in the lower section of the screen saying "preparing installation" then "Installing" then after a few seconds "installation Failed. Some apps for example Spotify installs perfectly, but here the bottom window don't appear at all. I have made a full reset, problem remains. I did a 3 finger reset, problem remains.
