Oct 5, 2012I get this message when i want to start up the phone. A few days ago it also had problems to start up: I pressed "on" button untill it vibrates (then it normally starts up) but it didn't do anything, after some tries (around 15) it did start up. Then today the phone just shutted down and wasn't able to start up. And I get the message in the title.I have tried hard reset (shift, space, backspace + on) but it doesn't do anything.I have the newest firmware for my country (Belgium) and i think its 92.003 but not entirely sure.

Dec 23, 2011ive had the Nokia n8 for a year and ive hated every single day of that year...... the nokia n8 is THE most problametic phone ive ever had.... and will be my last ever nokia phone. no matter what i do i get the nokia startup failed contact retailer. yes ive restarted my phone at least 100 times ...... yes i literally restarted my phone 100 times no exagaration.... my phone will start up like usual ..... then after a while it will give me the nokia n8 startup failed contact retailer is there any way to get this fixed without having to reset the whole phone to factory settings??.... ive been able to bypass the startup failed contact retailer by quickly quickly clicking on the small button on the left that then gives me the menu with all my applications but realisticly i shouldn't have to go through all the work to get my phone up...

May 17, 2011I used to install Java games and apps, some of them are not trusted and the others are trusted and this was the main reason for the 1st time I see this error msg about the failed Start-up.. after I fixed this problem by soft reset, I installed my apps normally and I tried to avoid untrusted Java apps but I installed vBag to play the Gameboy Advance games and I installed Poker game which showed me "Memory Full" after I play it or read about the rules for some minutes while I installed the game on my memory card and not the phone memory.. Feb 19, 2010Totally new to this phone, with the option to download applications. Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?

May 2, 2010I recently updated my phone 5800 XpressMusic to latest firmware V 50.0.005 (Customer Version 50.0.005.C03.01) but I am unable to see many changes. The only changes that I notice are - kinetic scrolling, change in the way browser displays the page and music library. Are these the only changes? Is there a way to check officially, what all changes, is this new firmware supposed to bring in?

Feb 3, 2010I am very disappointed to know that my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic doesn't support TV-Out feature. I have been using Nokia handsets for last 5-7 years, because I like the compatibility & reliability of Nokia phones. But this time Nokia has really disappointed me. I have bought Nokia 5800 XpressMusic on 14th-August-2009 of 16000 INR. I have bought it for that particular feature. But i havn't found any TV-Out cable in the box or such feature in the handset. I have also connected TV-Out cable of Nokia N-95 with it, but its not working. I hope, Nokia will sure make a positive solution for that devices, manufactured without this feature in August-2009 & give the relief to all its owners like me, by replacing it with new one having this feature.

Feb 1, 2010i have since transferred a bunch of music from my PC to my phone. however, only about 10% of all albums were able to automatically include the album art. alternatively, i had to manually add the album art for each album - provided if the album art could be found in the gallery. what's curious is that, when connected by usb to my PC, and because adobe photo starter pops up by default for any connected media device of mine, i could see that the album art images, which could not be found in the gallery (and hence unable to be manually added), were very well present somewhere in my phone. clearly, i have trouble locating them. furthermore, whenever i delete an album art image from my gallery, i can kiss the said album art goodbye from the album/music app too. my questions are:
1) where are the album art images which are floating somewhere in my phone/memory card ie. how can i locate them?...........

Mar 26, 2010i purchased a Nokia 5800 Xpress music. After a few moths he started truning off automattically. Sometimes he turns on afterwards, sometimes he does not. It is really very anoiing. Because when I keep my obile phone in my pocket, I don't know If it turned off. I tried to do a complete reset, but that didn't work. Also all updates are installed.
