View 5 RepliesMy new Nokia 6350 indicates "Camera on Standby" and I cannot get off it standby. I have
1. taken out the battery and
2. reset the phone.
my 6500 slide shows me "Camera on standby" when i try to launch the camera. The message remains on the screen until i press exit and i am unable to use the camera.
I have searched the internet for a solution, tried software updating, resetting to factory settings etc but nothing seems to do the trick.
Is it possible to get the camera to work again without tampering with the hardware (As described here: http://repair-mobiles.com/6500-camera-operation-failed/) ?
Start camera up and it displays Camera in Standby Mode. There is a Continue option available however when selected the standby mode message reappears. I have also noticed that the Image Sequence setting is ON and Im unable to change this setting.Have tried hard reset and have upgraded to latest 10.5 software. Have also spoken to Nokia support with no luck.

I have only just purchased this 2nd hand phone, the camera is stuck in standby mode, I purchased it knowing this for a very good price. I have goggled this fault and although it appears to be a common fault I couldn't find any solutions for it, just a lot of blah blah blah from people that obviously had no idea what they where talking about - full of there own importance I think. So here I am at Nokia expecting to get the exact solution.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy nokia 6303c has been a bit of an annoyance, it crashed 2wice so I had to repair it and the last time it requested password for my micro SD card which I forgot, or it just wont accept it. Because I'm pretty sure I've entered every possible combination. I read that you could use fexplorer if you have a sybian nokia but I don't. Can I format my card through PC suite? It's be good if there's a way I could save all the files on my SD card but if formatting is the only way then how do I do it? I tried chucking my SD card into adapter and into built in card reader on my PC but my PC doesn't read it, I think its cause it's faulty (the card reader) I got vista also. Which sucks. It doesn't read mmc full size too so its not the micro SD adapters fault.

I have 1 and half year old nokia 1200 phone. But now the standby time of the phone is about 1 day. Without call/sms. Nokia care person said that the problem related to its firmware version. And need change to v 6.00. Do you think that the problem related to software?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought Nokia e72 after researching online alot and was convinced that this is a great phone. I've been using it for couple of day now and overall I love it, but I do have one major issue. Every once in awhile it reboots itself, for no reason, then comes back to the standby screen. It does not seem to turn all the way off, but the screen goes black and I do see the word NOKIA on the background. This is very annoying. I have not noticed any patttern or certain thing I'm doing at the moment, just seems to be random. Does anyone have any idea what's causing it? Thanks in advance for any help / ideas.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Nokia 5130 from a TMobile store, and since I have started using it, I noticed that whenever I activate keyguard and wait for a little bit, the phone screen turns blank and would not show anything at all (I am used to S40 and S60 phones showing a bar with the time and date, the number of unread messages and missed calls showing everytime they are on standby). However, I also noticed that whenever I unlock the keypad and the backlight shows back up, the bar is actually there before it fades away and returns back to the home screen. Could it be that the screen is actually turning itself off whenever it's on keyguard standby?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOne of the very handy features on my E63 was the ability to begin entering a contact name when at the standby screen, and a list of matching choices would pop up as I entered the letters. I could then select from the list using the D-pad and make a call, send a message, etc. That function seems to have stopped working, and I can't tell the reason why. Unless I didn't notice the elimination of the feature months ago when I installed the latest firmware (don't think that's the case here), this doesn't appear to be the result of a firmware update, new software install, etc.Any suggestions out there, shy of the royal pain of doing a reset and having to reinstall software and reconfigure/recustomize my phone? View 5 Replies View RelatedI've searched on Google till page number 15 but no one had written something on my problem.I have 2 nokia 2330 classic, 1 for my father and 1 for my mother (both taken with Vodafone points). They are new. Both of them have the same strange problem. They work correctly, but when you leave the phone in a standby mode (so as it can be in your pocket during the day) the display became completely white (after a little bit of time). And it remain white till you push a button. You can imagine that this is a problem for the battery, because when the screen is white the phone sucks a lot of charge. The strange thing is that both of them had the same problem. Is there anyone that has the same problem? Is there anyone that is able to solve this problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI developed a problem with my E51. Active standby crashes couple minutes after staring up and becomes unresponsive. When you turn on the phone, active standby looks fine and everything displays normally (e.g. 1 Unread email, meeting at noon, etc.). However, right after that it gets stuck and doesn't update anymore. That means that if you read the email, the notification remains. Or if you get 3 more new emails, it will still display 1 unread email. Same thing with calendar even after the meeting passes, it's not cleared. Not even the next day, and new meetings will not be displayed on active standby until the phone is reboot.
I just realized that even the administrative shortcuts don't work (i.e. *#06# for IMEI or *#0000# for firmware). The phone beeps, but nothing is displayed.Does anyone have a solution to this, yet another, nokia software issue? Cause the latest advice I got when looking for solutions to my constant nokia problems (email crashing, random reboots, etc.) was Go and get a Blackberry I'd rather not go that way, unless I have no other choice.
I can't get the email / calendar of the active standby to fill the screen on the E72 that I just picked up.
Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Do I just need to find a suitable theme? I am at least looking for the width to be used up, but it would be nice to use up some of the vertical space to show an extra email or something.
is there anyway that I could change the applications shown on the active standby area?I know how to change the shortcuts, but how do I change area below, say to not let calendar to show, and instead let something else be shown?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI hope this hasn't been asked before; if it has and I searched on the wrong keywords, my apologies. Is it possible to set the Lumia 710 up so that it ends a current call when I press the button on top of the phone to put it into standby mode?
I've been caught a couple of times when leaving voicemail messages by the fact that I press the button, the 'phone plays a "ker-lick" noise and the screen goes black; but when I switch it back on again, the connection's still open and the call is still on-going.
Normally, this isn't an issue, as the call ends when the other party puts their phone down, or the voicemail reaches the end of the available message time; but I recently called someone who's got an honest-to-goodness answerphone on the shelf next to their phone, and it was happy to leave the connection open for well over an hour. As a result, I've just received a bill from my provider costing two-and-a-half times as much as usual - money I can scarce afford as I'm currently "resting" between jobs.
It would be neat if switching the phone off (or, at least, putting the phone on standby) ended the current call.
Just want to ask if 5800 will be able to determined the text messages came from in the standby screen? is it like the samsung phones that you'll already know the person's name who texted you?
