View 5 RepliesI recently got a S6 and copied my S5 onto it. I haven't switched yet as I enjoy my S5 because of the screen, replaceable battery and SD slot. So I'm only playing around with the S6 at home.
I didn't use it for a day after charging it full and was very surprised when it started beeping about the battery after only 33 hours.
I have a iPhone 6 that I use only at home for different things I need iOS for and I get at least 72 hours out of that one.
Does it sound like normal battery use? No SIM only WiFi.
I have 1 and half year old nokia 1200 phone. But now the standby time of the phone is about 1 day. Without call/sms. Nokia care person said that the problem related to its firmware version. And need change to v 6.00. Do you think that the problem related to software?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI see in the Nokia 700 specs:GSM Standby Time up to 465.0 hoursThat is about 10x longer than the battery lasts for, if the phone is not used at all.

I updated my BB 9700 to v 5.0.0.545 (Platform 5.1.0.140)and subsequently pressing on the "mute" button no longer turns on/off "standby mode.I tried the mute button during a phone call and that works fine. So I don't think the issue is hardware.Plus it was all fine before the device update.

Is there any way of extending the length of time it rings or is it something he is stuck with?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have to say that I am EXTREMELY impressed with the standby time for 5.1.1. The auto stop feature makes a world of difference. I fell asleep and checked my battery and woke up to this graph. I'm impressed considering I used to lose around 15-20% when I slept

On a distance of 151km,OVI maps on my PC estimate trip time to 2h19m,as does my Navigon GPS.For the same 5800 (ovi 3.0.4) estimate 2h42m.I have tried all settings. Is this within acceptable limits?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhat gives? My usage is showing 30 hours as well as my stand by time, theyre exactly the same.I restarted the phone and now while they are different , they are still proportional with each other. After one minute of usage, both the usage and standby time increase.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4S and I charged my phone last night and unplugged it once it got to 100% then left it overnight for standby, it was around 98% and when I woke up, it dropped 20% down to 78%. when i checked my usage, my usage and standby times were exactly the same at 7 hours and 23 minutes. I powered off my phone and turned it back on, and it resumed as normally with the standby time usually being higher than usage.

I have problems with my iphone 3gs running on ios5.0.1, the battery usage and standby time are always equal. And it drains my battery way too fast, I disabled all the settings on my device, I also removed tweaks from cydia that for me causes the problem. The tweaks I have left are: SBrotator 5, zyphere, killbackground, nowplaying, activator, gravi board. But all of the tweaks that I mentioned are all disabled!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had a nokia 5800 for about 6 or 7 months now. when I got the phone I turned on the automatic time update and it kept time really well. Then it got to about november last year and suddenly it jumped ahead 1 hour. Now every morning I have to turn on auto update (since the phone wont keep time without it), let the time update, change the time back one hour and tell it I havn't changed time zones. I live in Perth Western Australia and we dont use daylight savings so I dont know what is going on with it.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI want to use the 'sequence' image capture mode of the camera to take images at a defined time interval. If I use the sequence mode the 5800 camera shoots a series of photos fast. I want to adjust this time interval. The Nokia 5800 user manual says that this is possible by selecting the desired time interval.
http://www.retrevo.com/r/23409bh949/138/Capture+images+sequence/
However I am not seeing any such option for adjusting the time interval in the settings! Has anyone used this functionality? How do I set the time interval between sequenced image captures?
My 5800 used to retain battery power for 3-4 days of normal usage until my upgrade to the latest firmware. Firstly the FOTA failed. After restart it popped a "System Error" after"installing..." The Music Player also screwed and used to continously show "Fixing Corrupted Library files..(something like that)". Then i used OVI suite to transfer music and it temporarily fixed the issue. But then i used the USB connection with Nokia Software Updater and reinstalled the firmware. all the problems were fixed. But i observed that the Battery life has now reduced to just about 18 hours!! I am not sure if its indeed the firmware but most likely so. I also did a soft reset without realising that i would lose all the smses and contact data Anway, main issue is batterypower consumption. The Nokia Energy Profiler shows a current consumption of about 170mA. It was same even before the soft reset.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have nokia 5800 it have a problem the time cannot be set it just say ** system error**. Now I can't even install whatsapp on it. I think its because of the time settings. I did reset the phone still no change....
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Settings/Usage the battery usage for Useage and standby are the same. This means the phone never goes into standby mode and reduces the battery time. I tried a resore in iTunes.

I own a nokia 5800 on t-mobile UK. I'm on a mac so cannot use the device update software. I entered *#0000# and tried to update it. However I got asked to create a new server profile. I read some 'default' nokia server settings on another forum and entered them but received a message saying server not responding. I've tried some other server settings I found but none of it works. I really would like to update it!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Nokia 5800 phone, whose firmware I want to update to v40. But the latest NSU is not able to identify my phone. Whereas PC Suite and Ovi Suite will readily identify my phone. Ovi Suite' Software Update is able to detect it's firmware '30.0.011' whereas NSU cannot identify the phone itself. Product code of my phone is 0575590 and I want to update it to v40.

My camera cannot be open. I am always getting a message saying that the camera is being used by another application, but there seems no other applications running. View 6 Replies View RelatedSo lets have a poll of some sort. As soon as you unplug your phone at 100% charge, what is the average and immediate stand by time. I'll go first. Mine says: 1 day and 3 hours.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have installed Nokia OVI Suite version 2.2.0.245 and attempted to sync my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic device but I'm having various problems getting the OVI Suite to recognize my device. For the most part, when the program will come up with a message saying "Please change the USB mode on your device to OVI Suite (or PC Suite) USB Mode". Now, I'm already in PC Suite mode but I still disconnect the USB cable and connect it again, selecting the PC Suite mode again on my device. This does not change anything as I still get the same error message. When I don't get this error message, and I try to sync my messages (for example), the application crashes. I'm running windows Vista SP2, and my Nokia 5800 has the latest firmware installed V 31.2.101 (installed today July 7th, 2010) I don't know if this is a known issue and anybody knows how to fix it. if not, I hope the folks at Nokia take note and consider this issue.
