I have purchated a Nokia 5130 but i have this problem.When the phone is standby (without use for a little time) the screen appears black and dont show the clock, message alerts, etc. When i press the main key (at center) before the phone show me the unblock option i see for a second the block icon, clock and message alert, what i need to do to see this info at all time.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Nokia 5130 from a TMobile store, and since I have started using it, I noticed that whenever I activate keyguard and wait for a little bit, the phone screen turns blank and would not show anything at all (I am used to S40 and S60 phones showing a bar with the time and date, the number of unread messages and missed calls showing everytime they are on standby). However, I also noticed that whenever I unlock the keypad and the backlight shows back up, the bar is actually there before it fades away and returns back to the home screen. Could it be that the screen is actually turning itself off whenever it's on keyguard standby?

I've searched on Google till page number 15 but no one had written something on my problem.I have 2 nokia 2330 classic, 1 for my father and 1 for my mother (both taken with Vodafone points). They are new.Both of them have the same strange problem. They work correctly, but when you leave the phone in a standby mode (so as it can be in your pocket during the day) the display became completely white (after a little bit of time). And it remain white till you push a button.You can imagine that this is a problem for the battery, because when the screen is white the phone sucks a lot of charge.The strange thing is that both of them had the same problem.Is there anyone that has the same problem?Is there anyone that is able to solve this problem?

Does anybody knows how i can set it back to portrait mode?
Start camera up and it displays Camera in Standby Mode. There is a Continue option available however when selected the standby mode message reappears. I have also noticed that the Image Sequence setting is ON and Im unable to change this setting.Have tried hard reset and have upgraded to latest 10.5 software. Have also spoken to Nokia support with no luck.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought Nokia e72 after researching online alot and was convinced that this is a great phone. I've been using it for couple of day now and overall I love it, but I do have one major issue. Every once in awhile it reboots itself, for no reason, then comes back to the standby screen. It does not seem to turn all the way off, but the screen goes black and I do see the word NOKIA on the background. This is very annoying. I have not noticed any patttern or certain thing I'm doing at the moment, just seems to be random. Does anyone have any idea what's causing it? Thanks in advance for any help / ideas.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo earlier today before I went in to school I put my phone in bedside mode (so that the led would not blink (I use berrybuzz, which is very bright)) then locked the keyboard and put it in standby, for added security, before putting it in my book bag. After 2nd period I got my phone out and it was hot, as if it had been continuously downloading something or playing a video. The screen was dim but never turned off. The battery, which was at 100% only 1 or 2 hours earlier, was drained to 1 bar. I checked to see if any apps were running, with no luck, and then pulled the battery out and left it out until about an hour ago or so. The phone is fine now, but I don't know what happened.

I set the display to timeout 15 sec after inactivity. Whenever I have a call coming in, it vibrates and rings. But if I don't answer or reject it after 15 sec, the screen will turn off and vibration will stop at the meantime, although it keeps ringing and notification LED flashing.
Sometimes, when a call coming in, it shows a pop-up window, but all the sudden it switches to a full screen interface, and again no vibration at all.
It is very annoying because I have vibrate mode on all the time and put it on my work desk. I won't realise there's an incoming call if it doesn't show any notification.
My new Nokia 6350 indicates "Camera on Standby" and I cannot get off it standby. I have
1. taken out the battery and
2. reset the phone.
How do I lower thse usage of those 2 on my phone? Because I'm having to charge my phone every day because at the end of the day, it's always like 50%-ish.
View 2 Replies View Relatedit really strange but my k800i {R8BF003, CID 53} has gone crazy ! in the standby mode the DISPLAY will start blinking, but at very very less brightness. its visible when the lights in the room are off. this bugs be cuz its draining the battery too quick PS : Tried removing all patches re-flashing main , fs but still no luck. the phone was never dropped or had any sudden impact too.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone was working fine last night but this morning I am unable to shut it down. The only way to shut down the phone at the moment is to take the battery out. I can start up my phone by replacing the battery but when I try to unlock it it won't work.
At start up it verifies the software then gives me options to Unlock, Emergency, or Cancel but it i cannot select any of these and I cannot scroll through any of the options. The phone eventually goes into standby ( black screen ) which I am unable to get it out of.
I can hear my messages coming through and and the screen lights up when calls come through but I can't answer the call as the keyboard won't work. The green light also stays on despite the phone not being fully charged.
normally if my phone was om extended Standby Mode and I wasn't using my phone, I wouldn't receive notifications from F.e. Facebook, Whatsapp etc. I haven't selected apps that should be active in extended mode. And now all of a sudden I'm getting notifications in extended Standby Mode even when I'm not using the phone and no apps are allowed to be active.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy droid 3 screen wont turn on. i can see the notifacation light blink and feel it vibrate and if i slide the keyboard up that will light up but the screen stays black. only way to turn back on is to pull the battery. verizon said it wasnt a known issue and sent me a replacement and not even 24 hours into the new phone its doing the same thing.

When changing the alarm function hour, every time the alarm hour is advanced, the phone goes blank, you have to hit the power button, then slide your finger across the screen to unlock the screen which puts me back in the alarm. When I make another advance in get hour, the phone goes back to standby mode, but happens in other apps too. I have already tried resetting the phone to factory defaults, with the same results.

Sometimes my phone will last all nite without being charged while other nights it will be completely drained. Once drained I have no way to determine what was consuming the battery since all data is lost. Also its a pain not being able to make a call etc till I charge.
My E72 light time out is currently set to 5 seconds, I have tried everything to change this to a longer period, but all i get is a message telling me that it is unable to change, due to power saving mode active.

On the display I a large icon showing my battery life and signal, my network providor name, a really large time display and a slightly smaller date. I have tried to look under the date and time settings, but there is no option for hiding it. It's really annoying but I've no idea how to make it go away.
