i have a xperia x8 and i been it for more an year recently I face a problem with my phone !Its not booting and when press the power button and hold it , it just give me a vibration and nothing else , no display ,no sound and also while put charger in my phone it is not showing any thing on it.
View 2 RepliesMy partner's Xperia Play decided not to boot this morning. (It was fine at 7.30 but by 8.30 it was dead). On pressing the power button, it vibrates for a few seconds but does not show any other sign of booting. He has tried removing the battery to boot it but to no avail. When he plugged it into his laptop, the machine failed to recognise the device. It just continuously made the device connect then device disconnect sounds. The laptop is only a couple of weeks old so I highly doubt that it's an issue with the USB ports. It does not detect the phone long enough to perform an update. Is it possible that the USB cable is faulty, or the USB port on the phone? Or could it be a compatibility issue with the laptop?

I set the display to timeout 15 sec after inactivity. Whenever I have a call coming in, it vibrates and rings. But if I don't answer or reject it after 15 sec, the screen will turn off and vibration will stop at the meantime, although it keeps ringing and notification LED flashing.
Sometimes, when a call coming in, it shows a pop-up window, but all the sudden it switches to a full screen interface, and again no vibration at all.
It is very annoying because I have vibrate mode on all the time and put it on my work desk. I won't realise there's an incoming call if it doesn't show any notification.
How do I lower thse usage of those 2 on my phone? Because I'm having to charge my phone every day because at the end of the day, it's always like 50%-ish.

They are new.Both of them have the same strange problem. They work correctly, but when you leave the phone in a standby mode (so as it can be in your pocket during the day) the display became completely white (after a little bit of time). And it remain white till you push a button.You can imagine that this is a problem for the battery, because when the screen is white the phone sucks a lot of charge.The strange thing is that both of them had the same problem.Is there anyone that has the same problem?Is there anyone that is able to solve this problem?
View 19 Replies View RelatedI have purchated a Nokia 5130 but i have this problem.When the phone is standby (without use for a little time) the screen appears black and dont show the clock, message alerts, etc. When i press the main key (at center) before the phone show me the unblock option i see for a second the block icon, clock and message alert, what i need to do to see this info at all time.
View 8 Replies View Relatedit really strange but my k800i {R8BF003, CID 53} has gone crazy ! in the standby mode the DISPLAY will start blinking, but at very very less brightness. its visible when the lights in the room are off. this bugs be cuz its draining the battery too quick PS : Tried removing all patches re-flashing main , fs but still no luck. the phone was never dropped or had any sudden impact too.

When I swipe passcode dots screen is only black. When I connect to PC with USB Phone is detected but I cannot access phone or SD Card. View 3 Replies View RelatedOn the instruction, it clearly says I could hide the onscreen keypad by pressing the "back" key, this also works on my friend's phone. This doesn't work on mine, whether messaging or composing an email, when I press the "back" key it takes me back previous screen. It is really annoying as the screen is small and when you are typing a long-ish text you having to look at it through 1/3 of the screen! I reset the phone twice now and also downloaded the sony ericsson update launcher and have the latest software on the phone now, but this keypad problem still remain.

The first update was O.K., but during the second one maybe I did something wrong and now the phone does not start. Oke after i have flashed my phone from 1.6 to 2.1 i never had any problems. but when i updated my phone from 2.1 using PC Companion to 2.3.3. the phone just died. It keeps hagging in flash mode and after like 10 sec it vibrates and won't stop until the bat is dead. What i have done: I have tried to flashing it using the flash tools with many firmwares nothing worked, then i have used the SEUS repair function but when i use that it only wants to flash it to 2.3.3 and doesn't repair it, unless the repair is only reflashing and without whipe user data then it didn't work. Oke anyone with ideas? There are like 3 other people with the same problem and i think we all have an X10i So? The unbrickable phone has a weakness...

The sound just comes to the earphone when the call is received. Also, the calls cannot be received by pressing the hardware key on the ear phone receiver.

1. taken out the battery and
2. reset the phone.
This morning the screen of my Z5 Compact starting coming back on after I press the Power Button to turn it off. It seems to be triggered by movement: If I'm holding the phone after pressing the PB, the screen comes back on immediately when my hand moves. If I place the phone flat on a table and press the PB, without additional movement, the screen stays off.
The screen stays off if allowed to Sleep past the set duration.
The past couple of days I've also been getting notifications that certain Apps are preventing Stamina mode from operating. This morning it was Facebook. Yesterday, it was another one I can't remember. Can these issues be related?
I would want to bring an issue to Sony's and all the Z2 users' notice that I am trying to observe a display burn in issue on pressing the power button while unlocking the phone a lot of times and this usually happens when I have set the brightness to adaptive. When I press the power button to unlock the screen, the colors burn for a second and the backlight comes to life with all the real colors the next second.
Its been happening quite a lot now and now I am atleast able to figure out that adaptive brightness is the culprit here. I am not sure is this another bug that sony needs to fix in lollipop or what it is? But just to mention, I have recently clean formatted my phone using the repair phone method on Sony PC companion and it has not worked to solve this issue. Lollipop is seriously making life bitter in a lot of ways than being sweet atleast for Z2 users like me. We would love to see the almost flawless Z2 back as it was on Kitkat 4.4.4.
does any one notice that pressing the Call / Green button is a little more stiffer than pressing the Call End / Red button? are there any other experiences ? currently running tanks newest hybrid
