i have just bought a brand-new E5 and i love it. but i noticed something. when i put the standby mode to "Basic" the clock is nowhere to be found. how is this? is there a way (without changing the standby mode screen) to place the clock on the main screen?
View 8 RepliesI have purchated a Nokia 5130 but i have this problem.When the phone is standby (without use for a little time) the screen appears black and dont show the clock, message alerts, etc. When i press the main key (at center) before the phone show me the unblock option i see for a second the block icon, clock and message alert, what i need to do to see this info at all time.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a user with a E72. It has the most up to date firmware. The user is finding that the battery does not last very long. By mid day the phone is almost out of life. He is not making lots of calls. Life goes while on standby. We have also brought a new battery, still has the problem. The battery is a genuine Nokia battery.

Has anybody reading this post had this problem? I may have found the cause, and am hoping to get feedback.Until recently, the only third party program always running on my E73 was F-Secure's free Mobile Security app. (The program lets you remotely track, lock, and wipe your phone via SMS if it's lost.) I have found that running Java apps like Opera Mini and the MidpSSH telnet/ssh client will sometimes make the clock vanish, and sometimes additionally the UI of a newly-launched program (Java or otherwise) may lock up. Removing Mobile Security fixes all these issues.So is anybody who sees their clock randomly disappear also running Mobile Security?

I installed it to my XP SP2 machine and here is main problem: You CANNOT change DNS permanently and won't take effect, after you change manually through dial-up connections > Networking > TCP/IP Properties , the changes you made will be reverted back to "automatic" by NCPIA in dial-up connection properties (TCP/IP properties) at next connection.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed a 3rd party GPS app, and after a few moments toying with it, it did not load the map so I uninstalled it.After restarting, I noticed that my phone has no signal and it reboots every now and then until there's a signal... long story short, it reboots unti it gets a signal from carrier..After it does get a signal, I tried dialing a number and I get disconnected after 2 seconds and text messages does not send...I have read other forums that it may be a carrier problem (i doubt) but anyway I followed the instruction and it worked as of this writing..The instruction was to disable Dual Mode and set it to GSM Phone > Network > set Dual Mode to GSM I can now make calls and send and receive SMS... BUT still I want to make the Dual mode working again pre installation of the GPS software..I tried to reinstall 23.002 fw but it looked like it was just a reinstall of some of the FW not reflashing the entire phone.. hence the same apps and settings are still there..Is there a way to restore this to factory firmware? Or I need to wait for another update?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recent bought a nokia e5 and it keeps randomly moving itself to offline mode and then when i try to put back onto any other profile it says 'insert sim card'. I have of course many times removed the battery and sim card, turned the phone off for a while, left the battery out but nothing seems to work. I took the phone into phones for u where i got it from and of course as soon as i passed it over to the man behind the till he said 'look you just need to change it to a different profile'. It worked fine for him but now when i do that it does not recognise the there is a sim card in there. When i explained that this keeps happening and i can not seem to get it off oflfine mode (this does not allow me to make calls, text, accept calls or text so therefore its useless) he says there is nothing he can do as he has not seen the fault.
