I have just been given an E5 for work and rather than it just have a blank screen whilst not using it I wondered if you are able to set it to display the clock? Have tried but failed so far!

With the almost over-sensitive touch screen interface there is a constant danger of hitting a function by accident, therefore one must have the screen locked at all times. However, it would be important to see the home screen or the running application. I need to see the screen, with or without backlight, not a clock display or blank screen. With S60 this was no problem, that's why I have an E72 for backup and SSH use. The E7 would be a better phone for this, if only it would show the contents of the screen while being screenlocked.

Has anybody reading this post had this problem? I may have found the cause, and am hoping to get feedback.Until recently, the only third party program always running on my E73 was F-Secure's free Mobile Security app. (The program lets you remotely track, lock, and wipe your phone via SMS if it's lost.) I have found that running Java apps like Opera Mini and the MidpSSH telnet/ssh client will sometimes make the clock vanish, and sometimes additionally the UI of a newly-launched program (Java or otherwise) may lock up. Removing Mobile Security fixes all these issues.So is anybody who sees their clock randomly disappear also running Mobile Security?

My C6 is working fine, but it simply doesnt have a screensaver.
I had in my hand my friends C6 and he had the screensaver here without any settings. He simply pushes the middle button and it appears. When I do this, sometimes it shows me my homescreen and sometimes nothing happens.
I tried installing cClock for it, but nothing happened. As far as I know, I should have screensaver settings in my Settings. I looked EVERYWHERE in the phone, and I didnt find a single mention about it.
end-up whit a black scren ,can't make any call,can't do anything whit the pnone! after i unlock the scrensaver there i am black scren,long touch scren=fail, key setting=fail,companoin mount=fail and my intivarus said was clean.

I'm very use to use the always on display clock to check time and missed calls/messages. I found this very useful during night etc. It's not necessary to always unlock the phone... I know WP7.5 missed this feature but what about Lumia WP8? If this has still not been implemented, it's very step backwards for Nokia. I thing lot of customers are used to this function...

View 4 Replies View RelatedFinally installed GB, immediately noticed from icon visual changes, thats cool, however the H+ icon in the notifications bar, is a white box now (with H+ in black) and the battery is asolid green battery shape, both icons before were much better detail wise, can I change those or stuck with them?2) At teh bottom the green phone has change positions and graphics, ok I supposed will get used to it, same for O moved to right and different icon, ok again.However I now have two in middle one envelope and one odd blue one, I'd like to move them, but do not seem able to, holding down the icon and moving to trash does not work

My clock/weather widget is still showing up on my home screen, but I can no longer click on it to get to the clock app with the world clock and the alarms. I can't find the clock app on the phone at all anymore. How do I get it back? I go get a new clock app from the app store, but I really like the HTC sense clock.

When I'm driving I use the 5230 as a music player, and it is very frustrating that it locks in the same way as it does when it is in my pocket.I always have the 5230 plugged in / charging to an in-car charger when I'm in the car, so having the screen permanently lit would be good.I can't see a way of making the screensaver / keyguard change depending on profiles. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.
My problem is, when the phone goes in an area where there's no service, the 3G icon shows up in the right top corner, but when I go back to the area that has service, the 3G icon won't go away and I can't make any calls nor receive. only solution is to turn off the phone and turn back on. can you help me about that, how I can receive service again without restarting the phone?

I have just compared E-63 and 5233 both the phones have same 2 mega pixel camera and also have same resolution of 1600*1200 and there is a huge difference between in there pictures which are clicked at the same time and location when i m seeing in the PC.
