Huawei Nexus 6P :: Adaptive Brightness Or Not?
Feb 13, 2016Been reading about how it may cause more battery drain. I've been using it myself but if I switch, I feel like I'd have to run a higher than normal brightness to accommodate for when I go outside. So thinking it may not even be beneficial then.

Jan 18, 2016I've been looking for an app or xposed module but no luck. I've been out the Android game for awhile with the iPhone 6 but now I'm back. On the iPhone there is a tweak to allow you to have a guest mode button on the lock screen.
I find it to be more convenient when someone picks up my phone. They can enter guest mode without the back and forth handling.

Huawei Nexus 6P :: No HDR Mode In Camera
Feb 20, 2016I'm running the latest Cyanogenmod 13 nightly on my Nexus 6P, without gapps. Unfortunately, I do not have an HDR option in the camera (tried AOSP and Google camera).
I already flashed the vendor.img from Google. What I could do? I do not want to install gapps.

Oct 30, 2015Every AMOLED phone I've had has a high brightness mode. I can only presume the 6P does as well. How to enable it?

On the nexus 6 the command is:

On the note 3/4 the command is:

Aug 14, 2015I was running a website online that says if you have adaptive brightness turned on to non set your brightness turned into minimal level because it'll make the screen go blank and dark pretty much. For all the people on the forum that have adapter brightness turned on, what is your brightness level setting at? Mines at about at say 35 percent or as it lines up with the Wi-Fi symbol on the quick toggle settings menu.

Dec 24, 2015Just as the title says, I tried messing with the dpi, went from 400 to 480, all of them cause chrome to go into tablet mode with the tiny tabs/buttons at the top of the screen. I'm using the PureNexus rom.
Gmail app doesn't allow me to click some embedded links and some links are just plain text and not highlighted/underlined in blue making them clickable.

Oct 31, 2015I'm trying to flash a TWRP, but for some reason the phone doesn't show up any more in adb when in fastboot mode (at the bottom of the phone screen it tells me to connect a USB cable). It was showing fine until yesterday. I have tried several different USB ports. The cable is definitely working (in fact plugging and unplugging it causes Windows to notice and make a sound, and also it works fine in ADB when the phone is booted up.
The only thing that I can think that happened since I had last connected to it in fastboot mode (to unlock the bootloader) is that I connected my PC to a couple other phones (Galaxy S3 and Nexus 5) using them in MTP mode. I have reinstalled Google and universal drivers several times, deleted the device from device manager, etc

Sep 11, 2015I'm having an issue with my Z5 Compact when unlocking the screen. (Specially in dark rooms). The colors are totally "washed" for a few seconds, until adaptive brightness starts to work.
Sometimes in a dark room (like the bedroom) there is a 50% chance or more of this to happen.
To reproduce this: You need to use "adaptive brightness" under settings. And you need to unlock your phone a few times. I'd recommend you to do this using Tapatalk (Dark theme).
Anyway, I'm posting this because I've received an update yesterday from 32.0.A.4.11 to 32.0.A.5.32 and the issue is still here. Should I replace my device? Or just wait for another firmware?

This works great, however, when I use it, it requires me to enter my PIN/fingerprint to show the results.
Is there any way to turn this off? I have to do that every time.
And as far as security reasons, the phone won't respond to anyone else, so it's not like someone would be able to "OK Google" and unlock my phone, unless they sound exactly like me.

Nov 17, 2015I notice this while trying to put it on my desk or one hand typing texts, it seems the auto rotate sensitivity is too high. Is there some way to "turn it down" so you can turn the phone more before it auto rotates? I know I can turn it off, but I use it in Chrome and YouTube and probably couple more apps.
