Is there a way, play store app or xposed module to set the silent mode? We've only vibration mode but I'd like to set phone silent without tones, vibration and with all notifications enabled.
View 4 Repliesmy BlackBerry Tour has a habit of playing my custom ring tones despite the fact I have the phones volume set to silent in the active profile.This is a behavior I have spent about two hours trying to correct and have been unable to discern a viable solution anywhere. I've got into the settings for the ring tones, theoretically they should be silent along with everything else but it doesn't matter, they continue to play. Normal ring tones do play silently, or rather those numbers to which I have not assigned a custom ring tone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got my 6P for a month and a half now and sometimes it seems that the vibration strength becomes weaker. Right now it's one of those times and I'm only seem to be feeling it vibrate in the middle left. How many vibration motors does the phone have? If I'm holding the phone with my right hand only when this is happening, I almost can't feel it vibrate. I'm wondering if it's only me or if in fact there's an issue with the vibration motor.

How to avoid from sharing with MotoBlur? At work, I set my phone of vibrate. At times, I need to set it to silent. I can't seem to do that with the volume bottom. It only allowed me to set it to vibrate. It seems I would have to get into settings/sound to silent the phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy nexus 5 running into issues again. . It automatically goes to silent mode. After increasing the volume again it goes back to silent mode. I can see the volume bar decreasing from full to vibration in front my eyes.
Also sometimes the power button won't work for sometime.
If I tried to reboot, it automatically goes into recovery mode without pressing any combination of keys. Once I press volume button it goes into one of the recovery settings and gives a message NO COMMAND
After multiple hits of power button or some combination will boot the phone into safe mode sometimes.. Now I am stuck with its issue of automatically turns into vibration mode. I am worried to reboot because it may stuck in recovery.
I used to have this issue in lollipop and got fixed in marshmallow.. But recent patch fix update in December gives the problem again.
There a ROM on my 6p there other day and think it changed this so what to set it back to default if possible.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIt was 5 weeks old and developed a screen issue, went back to repair centre, came back fixed.....All good.....Well no.Now, when the silent icon on the drop down curtain says silent, its not, when you select to change this from the long press of the power on/off button (It gives you a turn device off option, deactivate/activate data, Airplane mode and Silent off and on)The turn on silent mode actually does the opposite?

Past versions of Android allowed one to override build.prop settings using a local.prop file on the userdata partition, but I've been unable to get that working.
It looks like in the past you could put qemu.sf.lcd_density into /data/local.prop, but that's not working for me, nor is any permutation of that variable or location of local.prop that I've tried. Did Google disable local.prop or officially disallow overriding of read only settings?
I'm running the latest Cyanogenmod 13 nightly on my Nexus 6P, without gapps. Unfortunately, I do not have an HDR option in the camera (tried AOSP and Google camera).
I already flashed the vendor.img from Google. What I could do? I do not want to install gapps.
Every AMOLED phone I've had has a high brightness mode. I can only presume the 6P does as well. How to enable it?

Ok so i bought a BB 9630 Tour couple days ago. and i have a question.so i set my girlfriend as a specific ringtone. but i usually use silent when i am at home, and one day she called me and guess what, the phone rang.so here is the question, how do you make the contact ring when it is in like when my normal is activated BUT NOT MY SILENT. cuz when i do silent and when she calls me and my phone rings... it doesnt really make sense cuz i put it as in silent.

Gmail app doesn't allow me to click some embedded links and some links are just plain text and not highlighted/underlined in blue making them clickable.
So I have an alarm set every morning for work. I also use the do not disturb quick launch. Well for whatever reason every time I use do not disturb it turns off the alarm even though I have it set for alarms only mode.
