Nov 4, 2015I have the setting checked but its not detecting the voice command.
View 10 RepliesI have the setting checked but its not detecting the voice command.
View 10 RepliesSo I thought I can use "OK Google" when screen is off and it's not on charger. I can get it working on lockscreen and when it's plugged in but off the charger screen off I can't get it working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have set up "OK Google" to recognize my voice from screen off.
This works great, however, when I use it, it requires me to enter my PIN/fingerprint to show the results.
Is there any way to turn this off? I have to do that every time.
And as far as security reasons, the phone won't respond to anyone else, so it's not like someone would be able to "OK Google" and unlock my phone, unless they sound exactly like me.
i was wondering what all of us are using as screen settings and why. For me srgb looks certainly more accurate but White are yelloish, they look better on Google's calibration settings but then colors are too saturated... So for now i still haven't made my choice.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I have verizon and I'm using a nexus 6p. My phone died and I charged it and booted it back up.Problem was is I forgot my password. So since I'm rooted i went into twrp and tried my password there. it worked there but not on regular boot up. So i went into wipe and wiped everything. now when i go to reboot my phone it is stuck on the google logo.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've followed instructions in from this thread [URL] .... and flashed the supersu from the recovery without reading not to flash. Now I'm stuck at the google splash screen. How to recover from this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedDamnit. Something went wrong and I don't know how to get out of it.
I used Nexus Root Toolkit 2.0.7. Bootloader Unlock went just fine. Root went wrong (I think). It just sits there at the white Google logo. It never goes to the animated loading portion of boot up.
So, I stopped the process. Then went to select Flash Stock + Unroot to hopefully start over. It still stays at the white Google logo. Instructions say it could take up to 20 minutes, but I waited for about 30 and nothing happened.
So I entered Recovery. Formatted/Cleared all data and started fresh with the unlocked boot loader. I was able to flash TWRP and actually flash a custom ROM. It loaded, but the phone boot looped when I tried to flash a custom Kernel.
Fine. I went to restore a backup I made before flashing the Kernel and it boot looped. Restoring the backup did nothing and I couldn't load anything.
Loaded up Nexus Root Toolkit again, tried to root and it just stays on the white Google logo. Tried Flash Stock + Unroot and it still sits at the Google logo.
WTF. I've been doing this for a long ass time now.
So I tried to root my 6P with the Nexus Root toolkit , first I unlocked the bootloader, that went well . After that I tried to root it but my build number wasn't there (MDB08L) So I researched if that would be a problem and a couple of people said they followed the same instructions as with the MDB08K build and it worked just fine on theirs so I proceeded.
I selected the "any build" from the options on the toolkit and it seemed to be going well, I followed the instructions , flashed the files on twrp and from there I rebooted and it got stuck on a bootloop... :/ so then I tried to use the toolkit to fix the bootloop and selected the MDB08K and after it ran and finished it isn't exactly bootlooping but it is now stuck on the black Google logo and does nothing ...
How to remove the google search bar from the home screen?
View 10 Replies View RelatedThen i installed Pure Nexus rom and it was working fine. Then i installed Elemental X kernal, didn't change anything from stock options other than double tap 2 wake, and it would stay forever in the boot animation. Not a boot loop, but the animation with the circles.
So i figured, i had a TWRP backup from before i rooted and all that and restored from that, still same never ending boot animation
EDIT::: I unchecked selinux enforcing but i still get the same issue. I noticed when trying to restore from recovery it would reboot when trying to flash the system, and that it would not be able to flash the system while trying to install pure nexus rom.
I had to restore my phone to stock last night by manually flashing the 6P image from Google's Nexus page. I noticed that the storage now shows as 32GB instead of 64GB total. How to fix this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got my nexus 6p two weeks ago. In the last week i've noticed that the phone is always awake, even with screen off. In the first days of use doze was working well and i didn't have problems. It doesn't seem to be regular.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo just got my 6p yesterday but it seems as though ambient display although turned on is not working ND when I answer a phone call my screen stays black during the call and won't wake up.
So apparently it's because the tempered glass screen protector is covering the proximity sensor. I still have to actually test that theory out once I get a new protector but from doing some digging that most def it. Just a heads up I used the one by super shieldz so don't buy that one until they make a cut out for the sensor.
Having issue with the screen remaining off during a phone call? Screen won't come on during the call, won't even come on from the power button being pressed... So I basically can't even hang up a call on my end without rebooting...
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust got a brand new Nexus 6P yesterday, camera was working fine. Woke up this morning and the camera produces a black screen. Cleared camera data, cache, updated, tried third party apps, then performed a factory reset. All to no avail.
It is still locked I haven't unlocked the bootloader or even rooted the device yet... literally got it yesterday.
My phone screen would turn on to show the clock only over a black background when let's say I throw in on the bed or put down "not gently". Is this a feature Google added?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI know you can do this with smart pairing of Bluetooth devices but I was hoping to be able to do the same for when I'm playing music through my car's auxiliary jack / over the phone's speakers. I've done a fair bit of googling but haven't found a solution. I use llama app on my phone to trigger events and have tried setting a trigger using the music app to trigger the screen lock to disable but it doesn't work. I'm wondering if it's feasible to somehow trigger screen lock to be disabled when a music app is active?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was wonderingly if the phone heats up, does the screen brightness throttle back to low?
Or can you put for always having the brightness all the way on high?
I am seeing this issue increasing on daily basis. My phone is usually in my pocked (not in doze) or some times lying around on the desk (dozed/not dozed, but still notification should deliver late). But I have noticed that in both situations, I don't receive any notification until I actually turn on the screen.
As soon as I turn the screen on, notifications start to come in all together.. (around 4-5 notification comes together). It seems that they were pending to be delivered but were never delivered to the device until I woke it up and data connection restored.
I understand that in doze mode, notifications are delayed but are delivered, but in my situation they are not even delivered until I turn on the screen and wait a couple to 5 seconds.
- I am on Stock Android without anykind of root (systemless or regular).
- I don't have any kind of advanced battery saving mode on or app installed (greenify or clean master etc).
- I don't have battery optimization for whatsapp still no notification comes in
- I see it on both Wifi and LTE..
- Cellular notifications like sms, mms or calls are not affected with this issue, they come on time.
A quick Google search says the Nexus 6 does not support HDMI. I will be taking a couple trips out of the country where I am hoping to access live sports on my phone but would like to watch them on a TV of course.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI broke my screen. the phone is still booting up and giving notification sounds and such but the screen is damaged and won't show anything. wondering if i can view the desktop on my pc with windows 7.

My wife hates the swipe method of answering . Is there an app which might show "answer"or"decline" on screen.
When I take/get a phone call my display stays black when i remove it from my ear for at least 5 seconds even pressing the power button doesnt wake it up ... I am on stock 6.0 but i also got that problem on cm12,1
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt just started with my N6. I can cover the sensor with my finger and the screen goes off, while on a call.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone just fell from about two feet up and nothing physically happened to it. The only thing that happened is that it won't rotate anymore. I checked the auto rotate function and it is not on "portrait".

If I am using another app and receive a phone call, I am not able to answer it. The navigation buttons stop responding and the pull down drawer won't allow me to answer. I noticed this behavior over the last few weeks.
I have been having some weird issues with my phone. Sometimes when I recieve a call the phone rings but the screen will not turn on. Also some other random issues. I am stock and not rooted. Usually a reboot fixes the issues.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi just bought my nexus 6 today and also a screen protector.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy new Nexus 5 phone came with logo "nexus5" right in the middle of the screen. How can I get rid of it?
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have this problem for some time now (at least since the marshmallow update). If I move my Nexus 5 to a different place, far from the current Wi-Fi AP, it does not connect to the nearest saved AP, it only does that if I wake up the screen.
The Wi-Fi works properly when the screen is off, I still get the notifications and all, I just have to stay connected to the same AP. I have tried everything to find what is the problem, but I can't find it.
I did a factory reset, it was working again, but when I did the first time Google account login, it started again, even on safe mode.
I thought I corrected it by doing another reset and not recovering my account , but when installing some apps it started again.
Every time I think I found the app that causes the problem and uninstall it, the Wi-Fi problem eventually returns
and I don't know what to do more.
What I have found out is that even uninstalling the app I think is the culprit, the Wi-Fi only works again properly if I reboot the phone, so maybe I have not found the app, and the Wi-Fi only works properly because I rebooted the phone?
The apps I have on my phone are the same I have in my Nexus 7 (2013), and with all those apps, the Wi-Fi works properly on the Nexus 7.
Is there anyway to know if is the phones fault, or some app (that makes the Wi-Fi not work properly on the Nexus 5,but not in the Nexus 7)?
My phone often rebooting after I unlocked the screen. I don't remember when it started behaving like this, but I already did a clean flash, change the rom, swith unlock to 'none' but didn't work.
