Google Nexus 5 :: Phone Stuck Resetting At Google Logo
Jul 20, 2014So this morning I woke up to my phone on a boot loop on the Google Logo. I have no custom roms or mods on it other than I am running ART. I suspect it could be battery related as it will only seem to do this on the charger but when I don't have it plugged in it won't even start up. When it's plugged in it won't even seem to want to stay "off", it boots up to the google logo on its own. If I hold down the volume rocker I can get into the bootloader but it resets before I can select anything and boots right back into the google logo.

Nov 29, 2015when charger is connected my phone keeps rebooting on Google logo, when I disconnect a charger it has no signs of being alive. now somehow i managed to get into fastboot, but when i try to get into recovery phone reboots again and shows full charged battery. What should I do now? I tried to flash stock and unroot via nexus root toolkit, i get the same.

May 10, 2015I'm not able to free up photo/video storage on my device - Nexus 5 running 5.1. I've deleted all photos and videos off the device itself. When I check "storage", I still see 1.7GB of storage being used under "Pictures, videos". When I click on "Pictures, Videos" in storage, there are no files. When I look in the "photos" app, again there are no files under "on device". The trash has been emptied. I rebooted the phone. No luck. Auto back-up is on, but as I stated, none of the photos are stored locally at this point. How do I free up this mysterious use of space?

Dec 24, 2015Just wanted to upgrade my sisters phone which was running an old 5.1 version (custom rom, so the phone was unlocked and rooted already) to an android 6.0.1 custom rom. So I flashed newest twrp and flashed 6.0.1 bootloader and radio.img via fastboot using wugfresh tool and the files from the thread on here. now when trying to get into recovery, I am stuck at the google logo.

Nov 4, 2015today I installed the new android 6.0 factory image, rooted it (used the modified boot.img from the previous build) and installed supersu 2.52 and blu spark kernel. Everything good until i deleted some apps (gmail, webview, youtube and other NON CRITICAL apps, like I ALWAY DO SINCE KITKAT), then rebooted and my phone is stuck at the Google logo, not even the bootanimation shows up.. Tried to reflash the boot.img, wipe cache, wipe data, factory reset but nothing.. The only thing that worked is to reflash the factory image! What am I doing wrong? Happened 2 times in a row so something must be wrong.. Another thing, I can't access TWRP every time, sometimes it skips and boots directly..

Today I got a "broken" nexus 5 that is in boot loop with the google logo and it wont boot into any .img
At the start i read the pinned posts and found this tutorial: [URL] ...
followed it step by step. but unfortunately it didnt work in my situation. there werent any errors or such kind. I also tried this tutorial with other images but nothing worked.
When i go to the recovery mode and press the power button the phone get into the google logo and i can see some sort of strange stripes in like a milisecond but then it just gets into the boot loop.
i really think ive tried everything accept for relocking the bootloader but cant imaging that this could be the problem.
Google Nexus 5 :: Can Get Into Fastboot But Shuts Down After Google Logo
Jan 15, 2016So, originally the problem was the phone's screen was going black straight after the Google logo, I had a hunch that it was a fault with just the screen as it was pretty badly smashed and seemed the phone was running in the background and you could get the backlight to come on. Then all of a sudden it would stop doing it and then start again intermittently.
I flashed to 6.0 to see if might be some random ROM error, but still exact same problems. Screen came back and then went again. So I grabbed a new screen and swapped out the part. Now at least I don't have a smashed screen and faulty digitizer.
Now the problem appears to be slightly worse. The phone gets to the Google logo again now but now it completely shuts down after it, but it still gets to fastboot! (Is fastboot stored on another chip than FW? If so that worries me.)

Jul 23, 2015I had been running cm 12 nightly for quite a while but wanted to try something new so I downloaded Dirty Unicorns rom and a Gapps pack. Drag and dropped both the zips into root directory, booted into cwm recovery mode, cleared everything, then installed the rom zip and then the gapps zip but it wont boot past the Google logo, I can only access recovery mode and I don't know what to do from here, is there anything I can do?

Jun 27, 2014I've been using Nexus 5 since Nov '13, but this is the first time i'm facing a serious issue in my device.I was browsing through Chrome and my Battery was 73%, all of a sudden my device rebooted and here comes the main issue/problem.My device is suffering a boot loop only displaying the google logo for 3-5 seconds and again it reboots.Occasionally the boot animation starts but no success, again it reboots.
I tried to enter fastboot menu, it enters but it doesn't stay there for not more than 2 seconds. So I can't make any choice over there.I tried all the combinations (VOL UP+ Power, VOL DOWN+Power, pressing all the buttons), but its of no use.My device is out of power now.Even when I plug my device to charger/computer its not showing the battery charging animation instead the reboot loop occurs.I suspect it can be a problem with the power button in the board.

I'm running Stock Android 4.4.4 with stock kernel.(not modified any system files)

Sep 28, 2014my Nexus 5 all of a sudden. My phone wouldn't boot up and is stuck at the google logo and would not go further no matter how long i wait. I tried going to the recovery mood which i did but when i selected recovery mode using the vol up and down keys to navigate and hit on power button nothing happened,just a blank screen. I can soft reset or hard reset my phone. All i see is a blank screen if i try doing a soft or a hard reset and if i try to power on normally all i see is the Google logo.
Using Android 4.4.4
No rooted
I cant figure out if this is a software issue or a hardware issue. I read a few posts about people talking about the power button. The power button seems to be all fine.
Google Nexus 5 :: Stuck At Boot Logo
Jul 31, 2014I now have my nexus 5 over 8 Months and everything worked perfectly but since yesterday it stuck at the google logo. I don't mean the Boot animation, I mean the first logo which shows up after booting. After 3 seconds it shuts down and i get the same. Before this happened I just recently flashed PA Rom (4.5,3) and then afterwards the newest franco kernel by the Updater App.
First everything has worked very well, but then some strange things happened to my nexus. So it just has switched the Date and Time to 1970, Google now said it isn't supported in my country (even it is), whats app needed reauthentification and also didn't automatically recognized my county, my battery has dropped while charging from 12% to 39% within a minute and then the random reboots appeared. after the 4th one I suddenly landed at the point where I am now. I also tried lots of things like going into bootloader/ recovery and flashing an old factory Image but every time I try to it kicks me to the Google logo.

Dec 13, 2015So I tried to use the Nexus Root Toolkit to sideload the OTA, but now when I try to boot my phone it just shows the white google screen and doesn't do anything. I can use ADB and fastboot and get into the bootloader but I can't flash the factory image because I never checked the "Allow OEM Unlock" tick since I didn't plan on unlocking the bootloader.

Jul 13, 2015I've had my Nexus 5 phone for 16 months now - generally worked great. Occasionally it dies and wont power up, but tends to be fine once you leave it charged for 10 minutes and give it a go a few times.
However, now, it wont boot up at all. It has a mind of its own of turning on and off every few seconds, and then just staying on the Google logo before switching off again.
Very occasionally it gets to the 4 circles but again shut offs after a few seconds.
I've read a few threads that suggest pressing Vol button and power on button. I've tried that and get to the android robot screen, but it switches off like 1 second after, so im unable to select any options.
When I have connected to a charger, it constantly boots up and switches off the google logo after couple of seconds all by itself. But if not connected to a charger, then it remains off unless I press power button or give it a little knock.

Then when I selected root and recovery I got to TWRP, swiped to apply the zips, it rebooted and never got back into system. Now it just hangs on the google logo. I can get into bootloader and stock recovery still as I attempted to reflash stock through the toolkit.
