View 5 RepliesGreetings to all! I from Russia. Therefore at me bad English. I have nokia 6220c. And after a while... 5 minutes or 5 hours (has not found dependence) they do not work again

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is the first time to be here. Just want to know if my Nokia 6220 Classic is one of the free OVI maps as mentioned here:

And if not is there is any possibility to be free?
I've a mailbox (Hotmail -- marked with a '?' not a mailbox icon) that I cannot delete from the list in Messaging. I believe it a relic from where I had it setup then upgraded the software on my phone. I have Nokia Messaging Email software setup and working now and can also create and delete other mailboxes inside of the original Messaging section. I know a reformat will remove it but would rather avoid this if at all possible.

Having done a bit of research, I would just like to clarify things in respect to my phone which is a Nokia 6220 classic, running S60 3rd edition. I double checked the version against the list here:
http://www.zedge.net/forum/t/27995/s40-s60-or-s80-find-out-here/
And also in the phone itself. Am I correct to expect that running S60 gives me a good chance of getting the free navigation upgrades that have been talked about here? I'm not in any particular hurry; but if its likely that the upgrade is not coming, then I won't have to check back here every few days. Someone posted elsewhere that upgrades (for S60 devices?) were coming "in the first half of the year". Is that just rumour, or has Nokia said something official about it?
Please is somewhere available a silent camera for Nokia 6220 Classic? This 5 mb camera is great but it makes so horrible noise that it is impossible to take great photos while e.g. my puppy starts to follow that sound and stops playing! It is no way to make this camera silent in this phone, but I know that a good program download would solve this problem. Where might I download one?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently updated my firmware version to 05.15, and upon starting Maps (sorry I don't know which version I have currently), I get an error saying "Cannot open application. Get latest version from nokia.com/maps". I've downloaded the appropriate file (selected using the tool on the website), but I cannot install version 3.01 as my phone will not install a .sis file. Is there a .sisx version of Maps which I'm obviously not seeing somewhere? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMaps 3.01 crashes for me whenever I select the "Synchronise with Ovi" option. I recently upgraded the firmware in my Nokia 6220c from 3.23 to 5.15. At first I could not install Maps 3.01 through maps updater on my PC but user OviKovi kindly posted the sis file and maps, in another thread, which I installed manually on my phone. That allowed me to run Maps 3.01. The only issue I have now is that I cannot synchronise with online Ovi Maps because the phone application crashes.
When I had firmware 3.23 installed with Maps 3.01 I could synchronise. Now I can't.
As the title says it goes to landscape mode when it's in standby I checked the ScreenSave setted it from date & time to text but still the same thing.
Does anybody knows how i can set it back to portrait mode?
Start camera up and it displays Camera in Standby Mode. There is a Continue option available however when selected the standby mode message reappears. I have also noticed that the Image Sequence setting is ON and Im unable to change this setting.Have tried hard reset and have upgraded to latest 10.5 software. Have also spoken to Nokia support with no luck.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought Nokia e72 after researching online alot and was convinced that this is a great phone. I've been using it for couple of day now and overall I love it, but I do have one major issue. Every once in awhile it reboots itself, for no reason, then comes back to the standby screen. It does not seem to turn all the way off, but the screen goes black and I do see the word NOKIA on the background. This is very annoying. I have not noticed any patttern or certain thing I'm doing at the moment, just seems to be random. Does anyone have any idea what's causing it? Thanks in advance for any help / ideas.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Nokia 5130 from a TMobile store, and since I have started using it, I noticed that whenever I activate keyguard and wait for a little bit, the phone screen turns blank and would not show anything at all (I am used to S40 and S60 phones showing a bar with the time and date, the number of unread messages and missed calls showing everytime they are on standby). However, I also noticed that whenever I unlock the keypad and the backlight shows back up, the bar is actually there before it fades away and returns back to the home screen. Could it be that the screen is actually turning itself off whenever it's on keyguard standby?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOne of the very handy features on my E63 was the ability to begin entering a contact name when at the standby screen, and a list of matching choices would pop up as I entered the letters. I could then select from the list using the D-pad and make a call, send a message, etc. That function seems to have stopped working, and I can't tell the reason why. Unless I didn't notice the elimination of the feature months ago when I installed the latest firmware (don't think that's the case here), this doesn't appear to be the result of a firmware update, new software install, etc.Any suggestions out there, shy of the royal pain of doing a reset and having to reinstall software and reconfigure/recustomize my phone? View 5 Replies View RelatedI've searched on Google till page number 15 but no one had written something on my problem.I have 2 nokia 2330 classic, 1 for my father and 1 for my mother (both taken with Vodafone points). They are new. Both of them have the same strange problem. They work correctly, but when you leave the phone in a standby mode (so as it can be in your pocket during the day) the display became completely white (after a little bit of time). And it remain white till you push a button. You can imagine that this is a problem for the battery, because when the screen is white the phone sucks a lot of charge. The strange thing is that both of them had the same problem. Is there anyone that has the same problem? Is there anyone that is able to solve this problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI developed a problem with my E51. Active standby crashes couple minutes after staring up and becomes unresponsive. When you turn on the phone, active standby looks fine and everything displays normally (e.g. 1 Unread email, meeting at noon, etc.). However, right after that it gets stuck and doesn't update anymore. That means that if you read the email, the notification remains. Or if you get 3 more new emails, it will still display 1 unread email. Same thing with calendar even after the meeting passes, it's not cleared. Not even the next day, and new meetings will not be displayed on active standby until the phone is reboot.
I just realized that even the administrative shortcuts don't work (i.e. *#06# for IMEI or *#0000# for firmware). The phone beeps, but nothing is displayed.Does anyone have a solution to this, yet another, nokia software issue? Cause the latest advice I got when looking for solutions to my constant nokia problems (email crashing, random reboots, etc.) was Go and get a Blackberry I'd rather not go that way, unless I have no other choice.
I can't get the email / calendar of the active standby to fill the screen on the E72 that I just picked up.
Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Do I just need to find a suitable theme? I am at least looking for the width to be used up, but it would be nice to use up some of the vertical space to show an extra email or something.
