When I tried to restore the defaults by reflashing it with rsd lite, it ran a time, but my pc crashed. The restore went fine, but the connectivity was dead. when i tried to reflash, i got a new not known device called Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 and rsd failed. When i've done that before it always went fine... only this time not. I searched a lot in the net, but didn't found a way to recover it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo my battery was totally down, i was at a friends place and forgot the charger. When i came back home and started it up, suddenly the wifi didn't connect. I went to wifi settings and it just said error. After that i found out that bluetooth, the radio, the g-sensor and even the light behind the buttons under the screen all didn't work (the buttons themselves do still work). Assuming this is a software failure and not a hardware one (cuz these are all really different components) i thought a factory reset would bring them back to life, but even that didn't work. So now i'm stuck with an empty phone ( i can't download all my apps back cuz i have a data limit) which is half broken. I sent a mail to htc already, but i hope i could get an answer from someone here faster.

For example when I wake up in the morning, I see the WiFi symbol and the network connectivity symbol. The data symbol in the middle (H+, E or G) is missing. Sometimes my 4g works flawlessly then the very next day I can have 4g bars but my connection will be really crappy. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced these spotty 4g problems.. I also have times were I have all my bars and the 4g is blue but I cant connect at all until I reset the device.

My Bionic connects well on the 2.4 GHz band but does not appear to be able to connect on the 5GHz band. Is the Bionic capable of dual band connectivity? My Xoom 4G tablet connects well at 5GHz and shows the 2.4 GHz band as also available. Specs show the Bionic capable of b/g/n connectivity but does not specify bands.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new installation of Windows 7 on a new computer and am having a difficult time connecting to my phone by either USB or by Bluetooth FTP Service. It appears that I can connect correctly to the Bluetooth Audio Services, but as I cannot get any music onto my phone I am having a hard time testing it.On Bluetooth installation I had two devices that were not installed correctly. Through trial and error I discovered that these two devices are related to the Generic Access Service and the Generic Attributes Service, both of which I have disabled on my Win7 Bluetooth phone properties.
I HAVE installed Motorola Device Manager with no success resolving. In fact, I cannot see where MDM is even accessible on my system: no system tray icon, no start menu link, etc.I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure if my image upload will work correctly, but in essence the phone Operation Panel in Win7 shows the FTP Service as active but clicking the Browse button does nothing. I do get a prompt on my phone initially asking for permision for my computer to access the phone, but then nothing.
My Maxx does not reconnect to 3 or 4G after using WIFI. When I toggle off wifi the 4G bars are white and I get a no connectivity message when trying to get e-mail. Then I restart the phone and all is good.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHaving trouble connecting to my sbcglobal (managed by yahoo) email account all of a sudden.As of a few days ago, my new emails have not been appearing in my inbox even after refreshing. So I went into "my accounts" and into yahoo mail icon and deleted/reentered my password so I could connect. I kept getting error message "login to the account failed, please try again". So I then decided to completely remove the account under "my accounts" menu icon so that I can readd it. I then tried to readd it in two areas:
1. Under "email" menu icon I tried to re-setup the "yahoo mail" account- no luck, still received error message
2. Under "email" menu icon I tied to re-setup the "yahoo" account, chose already have a yahoo account, click sign in, enter my email address and password, check the "mail" and "sync" options, and then done. Nothing happens. So I go into the main menu option "my accounts"- I see my sbc account listed with the word sync under it. I go into it and it says it has been synced.Nothing has been updated. Prior to all this when I clicked the main menu "email" icon- my sbc/yahoo acct inbox pulled up automatically. Now when I click the "email" icon - I am prompted to setup an account from the services listed below: corporate sync, facebook, twitter, yahoo mail, yahoo, etc. I had my yahoo/sbc mail as my default account which is why when I previously clicked the "email" icon- my sbc/yahoo account inbox pulled up.I do not want to set up the yahoo droid application- I really want tp synch the account directly.How do I adjust the incoming/outgoing server settings on this phone. I see in other forums for similar issues that they can be adjusted. but where?
One of the big benefits of these phones is the ability to stay on top of email. I have a yahoo account and I have it loaded into my messaging app. Over the year that I've had this phone my yahoo occasionally has become deathly silent. Of coarse the android is not updating or even connecting to my account. This happened on average every couple of months. I've done a few things to try to get it back including deleting and reloading the account, updating the android os, messing with email settings. It usually eventually comes back on its own...within a couple of days. Its now getting to the point where I lose connectivity every week or two and its gone for that much time. This is really annoying and I don't keep on top of my emails nearly as effectively. I need to fix this. I'm not seeing alot of posts with the same issue though.
View 2 Replies View RelatedProud owner of a Photon for a few days now. For the most part, aside from some minor glitches, I LOVE this phone so far. It's great. However I have one big problem.At work I have a decent 4G signal at my desk. My prior Evo got 1-2 (out of 3) bars and stayed connected all day with zero problems. My Photon connects to 4G just fine, but if I don't keep sending traffic over the network to the point where the 4G goes into what I assume is power save mode -- where the icon shows ZZZ instead of signal strength -- it will often lose connection in a silent way.What I mean is that I can then attempt to use apps, etc and the 4G will not transfer data, but still thinks it's connected. I'm not sure yet whether or not it stays in ZZZ mode or if the icon shows signal strength again, but I know for sure apps do not transfer data. For example when I listen to music, ScrobbleDroid starts queueing messages instead of sending them, etc. Also, GMail and IMAP push stop working, so I stop receiving email notifications. That is a BIG problem for me.
The problem goes away immediately if I either shut off 4G, or toggle 4G (turn it off then on right away). unboxed & started the Android 2.1 Defy I got the internet working instantly on GPRS/EDGE using SIM from earlier phone BUT after I downloaded a 3rd party app from Android Market called RTI India the internet just vanished .. I mean .. I don't even see or get the up-down motion arrow mark next to the signal strength on my handset anymore. Phoof ... gone with the wind .. no sign of even showing up a bit despite managing the settings (Wireless & networks + Data Manager) n no. of times. The settings are all good to go for internet connectivity.I then got an advice from Moto India that I needed to uninstall & restart the device in order to get the internet working again but sadly this didn't work. Have requested Vodafone (service provider) to come up with a solution although my gut feeling told me to try out an all-weather antidote from Motorola i.e., "factory hard reset" .. so I called Motorola India again and got exactly this advice.
Has anybody faced this problem .. if so, then has this reset worked to regain internet connectivity OR is there something else altogether ? My phone is still on Android 2.1 since FroYo upgrade is still being tested. Lemme also know if I need to remove the SIM card before doing the factory hard reset? Just wanna be sure before I go ahead with the reset
So I had music on my xoom but accidently deleted it. I tried going in my computer files to copy and paste songs from my itunes into my folder on xoom called music but says wrong format. I don't know what to do.

The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? Would i be able to reset the tab to the original version?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSeveral times/day now my droid razr HD loses all connectivity. No wifi, no 3g/4g/1x anything. All the indicators are grey and I can't connect to anything. Usually what I have to do is go into airplane mode and then back out and then things are back. I can't say for sure but I thought there was a time or two where I had to do a power cycle to get things back. Not positive about that. I've only had the phone for a few weeks, and I'm pretty sure it's always done this.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI believe that there is a problem with the Atrix network stack. When operating at home (Lapdock or HD dock or stand-alone) I prefer to use the local WiFi connection (because the cellular signal is useless for data here on the _9th_floor_ (thanks T-Mobile UK).
However:
1/ On its own the Atrix does not properly switch to _use_ WiFi- it tries to use either WiFi or GPRS/3G/HSPA from time to time. This does not work well (read the reviews that say that the Lapdock is slow and I think that this is the problem being reported);
2/ I installed Juicedefender which is free and which switches OFF the GPRS/3G/HSPA radio when WiFi is being used:
BUT - then I notice that the WiFi data stream stops after about 90s and only re-starts after either several minutes have elapsed _or_ I switch off and on again the WiFi radio. VERY POOR. Worse, on checking with my router, the ATRIX remains _connected_ to the WiFi network at all times - so this is the internal software losing contact with the active network interface.
i have not been able to get a data connection all day. i lost my data connection near my house this morning right on the border of 4g/3g area. i drove to work about 25 miles away where there is 3g only and still have not been able to establish a data connection. i have rebooted the phone, pulled the battery, rebooted in safe mode, switched to cdma only, switched on an off airplane mode countless times and still have no data connection. i do have a 3g icon with almost 4 bars in the status bar, but no connection. browser not connecting, no facebook, no Internet...nothing.

Normally works fine, however in the last few days, I'll notice that there is no mail and the last update was hours ago. If I reboot the phone, it all works again. Three different exchange accounts on the phone and the problem happens will all three accounts at the same time. When this does happen, I still have internet connectivity. Wifi or 4g makes no difference.
