I've been able to get my X2 to connect to my 2010 VW via bluetooth to make & receive calls, but it won't connect to play music off the phone via the car speakers. The option is checked (to allow Bluetooth audio) in the car's menu.
View 2 RepliesI have a new installation of Windows 7 on a new computer and am having a difficult time connecting to my phone by either USB or by Bluetooth FTP Service. It appears that I can connect correctly to the Bluetooth Audio Services, but as I cannot get any music onto my phone I am having a hard time testing it.On Bluetooth installation I had two devices that were not installed correctly. Through trial and error I discovered that these two devices are related to the Generic Access Service and the Generic Attributes Service, both of which I have disabled on my Win7 Bluetooth phone properties.
I HAVE installed Motorola Device Manager with no success resolving. In fact, I cannot see where MDM is even accessible on my system: no system tray icon, no start menu link, etc.I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure if my image upload will work correctly, but in essence the phone Operation Panel in Win7 shows the FTP Service as active but clicking the Browse button does nothing. I do get a prompt on my phone initially asking for permision for my computer to access the phone, but then nothing.
Data is better since 902 but I am still having data connectivity issues requiring Airplane mode or power cycle.

Sometimes my 4g works flawlessly then the very next day I can have 4g bars but my connection will be really crappy. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced these spotty 4g problems.. I also have times were I have all my bars and the 4g is blue but I cant connect at all until I reset the device.

My Bionic connects well on the 2.4 GHz band but does not appear to be able to connect on the 5GHz band. Is the Bionic capable of dual band connectivity? My Xoom 4G tablet connects well at 5GHz and shows the 2.4 GHz band as also available. Specs show the Bionic capable of b/g/n connectivity but does not specify bands.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having lots of problems in getting my Toshiba Satellite C655 laptop to connect to my Motorola Verizon Droid Razr using Verizon's Hot Spot.It appears to see the Verizon Hot Spot and statse connected but says limited connectivity and keeps disconnecting and refreshing and reconnecting stateing either " Limited Connectivity or No Internet" Also when it did the one time make a connection it would not go to any web pages even tho it stated connected with internet connectivity.

View 6 Replies View RelatedOne of the big benefits of these phones is the ability to stay on top of email. I have a yahoo account and I have it loaded into my messaging app. Over the year that I've had this phone my yahoo occasionally has become deathly silent. Of coarse the android is not updating or even connecting to my account. This happened on average every couple of months. I've done a few things to try to get it back including deleting and reloading the account, updating the android os, messing with email settings. It usually eventually comes back on its own...within a couple of days. Its now getting to the point where I lose connectivity every week or two and its gone for that much time. This is really annoying and I don't keep on top of my emails nearly as effectively. I need to fix this. I'm not seeing alot of posts with the same issue though.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSeveral times/day now my droid razr HD loses all connectivity. No wifi, no 3g/4g/1x anything. All the indicators are grey and I can't connect to anything. Usually what I have to do is go into airplane mode and then back out and then things are back. I can't say for sure but I thought there was a time or two where I had to do a power cycle to get things back. Not positive about that. I've only had the phone for a few weeks, and I'm pretty sure it's always done this.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi have not been able to get a data connection all day. i lost my data connection near my house this morning right on the border of 4g/3g area. i drove to work about 25 miles away where there is 3g only and still have not been able to establish a data connection. i have rebooted the phone, pulled the battery, rebooted in safe mode, switched to cdma only, switched on an off airplane mode countless times and still have no data connection. i do have a 3g icon with almost 4 bars in the status bar, but no connection. browser not connecting, no facebook, no Internet...nothing.

Normally works fine, however in the last few days, I'll notice that there is no mail and the last update was hours ago. If I reboot the phone, it all works again. Three different exchange accounts on the phone and the problem happens will all three accounts at the same time. When this does happen, I still have internet connectivity. Wifi or 4g makes no difference.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had updated my phone with firmware version 40.0.005.I am having problem while connecting to my bluetooth enable car stereo JVC KD AVX-44 Car System.It connects to the car system but when i start playing music in my mobile , it got disconnected from car stereo and then reconnects for 10 seconds approx and then disconnects again.There is no problem while connecting to the car system with Nokia 72,73,81 and Motorola A1200 etc.Before update V 40 i am able to connect the car system, but was not able to use next track or previous track using my car stereo remote .After updating V 40 I am able to use next track or previous track but my connection to car system losts in about 10 secs.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently replaced my iPhone 4S with a S5 and am having one nagging problem - I cannot get directions from the MAPS app to come thru the audio system of my 2011 Audi A6. I had no problems whatsoever doing this with my iPhone. I have read a number of threads where people have had similar problems but none were specific to the Audi's audio (MMI) system. I have paired and re-paired the S5 with the car numerous times and have tried countless possible solutions, but the navigation directions always and only come thru the phone's speaker. With the car's radio on, this becomes a problem. With my iPhone, the radio broadcast would cut out whenever directions (using Google Maps) were spoken.

I send a connect message from the 8320 to the 8900 and get a message "Connection to 8900 failed".Tried to connect the other way around, sending the request from the 8900 to the 8320 and the drop down menu does not show the "connect" option.

I'm having some trouble with the Bluetooth in my car since I installed Cyan on my AT&T Lumia 1020 (I'm also running the 8.1 Update One Developer Preview).
My phone will pair just fine to my '13 Subaru Impreza, does not remain paired after shutting off the car and restarting. Seems to have lost it somehow.
The Bluetooth connectivity from 4S to headset is very poor. The headset is definitely fine as works well with other phones.

View 7 Replies View RelatedBefore I had the Vehicle Navigation Dock, when I turned on navigation and the radio was on, the turn by turn voice went through the car radio. If the radio was off, it played through the phone speaker. Now that I have the dock, if Bluetooth is active, the voice doesn't play at all. I have to turn Bluetooth off in the phone to hear the turn by turn. This isn't optimal because then I can't use the phone over bluetooth. Is there a setting to have the voice always go over the phone speaker?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was recently given a LG HBS-700 Bluetooth headset which I love but I have been having problems a few times a day with it disconnecting while I listen to music. After it disconnects it will be silent then my music will blare out the phone which I hurridly pause/mute so not to disturb my co-workers and get in trouble with my boss. Sometimes it will re-connect on its own or I manually turn off the headset and turn back on and it will be fine. It maybe happens twice a day. It has even happened while on a call before but not alot which I dont talk alot on the phone. I use it pretty much all day while at work. I have asked LG support about it but they have 'no known issues' and suggested I check with Motorola to see if this phone should be compatible with the headset.

After connecting to Sync, in a about 15 seconds it will suddenly disconnect from Sync The Blue Tooth is still connected and it will stream music from my phone to Sync with no problems but the phone will not stay connected.

My problem is when I try to use hands free calling with my Clarion CX609 head unit, the microphone does not connect. I hear the call through the speakers as expected but the phone is still using the built in microphone. After the OTA release of 5.9.902 I still don't have connectivity to my external microphone.I had a Blackberry Tour and it connected and worked perfectly fine. I would think my Bionic would work in the same manner only better.

The phone and the data both connect most of the time on it's own, sometimes I have to go into teh settings and tell it to connect. The main issue is, I will open an application I use to play audiobooks (Ambling) and start an audio book, which works fine. However, 90% of the time when I turn the screen off the phone will then proceed to restart. It will continue this behaviour until I shut down and power back on the phone, at which point everything works just fine. However as soon as leave my car, go into work or the store or whatever, and come back out to my car the chances are high I'll have to go through it again.
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy car's bluetooth (2011 Honda Odyssey) was working perfectly with my Droid X (which had "FroYo" 2.2 software). Due to problems with my phone, Verizon had me update to the newest software (2.3, called "Gingerbread"). I now cannot pair the Droid with the car. I have called Verizon and Motorola both, who both stated that the most likely culprit was the car. Honda states that it is compatible with "Gingerbread" on newer phones, but not certain if it is on the original Droid, and Motorola has not sent a sample for Honda to test for the original Droid. What do I do? Is there a fix available here? Should I ask Verizon or Motorola to put the previous version, 2.2 or "FroYo" back on my phone?

Either way it dials without waiting for confirmation. this has caused many embarrassing moments as I try to explain why I dialed someone I didn't need to call. I hesitate to hang up because I then get a call from the recipient of the errant dialing asking "Did you call me? What did you want?"
