Feb 24, 2012I am not a big on using a bluetooth device (dont like things haning off my ear) what is a good bluetooth device to use with the D4, also, is a plug in type worth getting.

Feb 8, 2013Problem: My main objective is to use a motorola droid 2 and an ipad to share internet connection. The droid will provide the internet connection to the ipad through bluetooth. I have read in only two places that this is possible, and without any downloaded applications on either side. I can connect the two devices together using bluetooth and they seem to be communicating. The ipad displays the bluetooth sign and the interlocking chain links that indicate data transfer. the droid shows a stable bluetooth connection as well. everything seems to work great right? Well after using the ipad for say a speedtest or two (2mbs or so) using the droids internet connection, a problem occurs on the droid. the 3g data connection to verizon becomes disconnected and the icon disappears. Then the 3g data restarts and the icon reappears, a couple seconds later it disconnects again and the cycle continues in an infinite loop. Meanwhile the ipad is receiving no data through the bluetooth connection. The only way to stop the 3g data cycling is to disconnect the bluetooth link between the two devices, after that the droids 3g connection becomes stable. i have many hypotheses but ill disclose those later. By the way i've looked everywhere for an answer to this and nobody, and i mean nobody seems to ask about this problem. either they don't have this problem or they don't even do this kind of thing. I've factory reset my motorola droid 2 global and done many restarts with no gain. it is unrooted fyi.

May 1, 2012Anyone else having problems with their RAZR not disconnecting when a bluetooth device goes out of range?
From day 1 (two weekends ago), when I pair the phone to my Mercedes Benz 2008 (with 2010 bluetooth cradle to replace analog phone), and walk away the phone believes it is still connected (see status under wireless & network settings, bluetooth devices list)
This causes problems, such as when I receive calls the ear speaker is turned off and I cannot hear caller, or making calls the ear speaker is off.
When I later return to the car, the razr shows it is still paired (under bluetooth devices list) while the car says the phone is turned off. Need to power off/on to reset.
Called for support.
Verizon Tech believes that my car has a problem, the "car bluetooth is too old", can't keep supporting bluetooth devices that are 4+ years old
Motorola tech had me go to manage apps / bluetooth share / storage / clear data. Did not resolve problem. Need to try with another phone.

Oct 11, 2011I'm seeing a problem since the update. When my phone is not connected to a bluetooth device, the icon is white (gray). When it is connect, it is blue. Sometime when I power off my headset (Motorola HX-1 or H17txt) I notice the icon stays blue.his is bothersome becuase I'm not sure if something else is connecting to my phone. I check the wireless settings and all my devices will show Paired but not connected.Anyone else seeing this issue? I'm in NYC a lot and call me crazy but I worry about these kind of things. Back in the analog cell phone days, my phone would get cloned at least every other month going over the GWB resulting in $3-4k in cell bills.

Nov 15, 2012I'm trying to link my RAZR HD and 64-bit Windows 7 laptop through bluetooth (Intel Centrino Bluetooth 3.0 adapter). I pair them, but when the driver installation starts, all but one of the 5 driver installations fail. Is this a Motorola problem and if so, is there anywhere I can download the correct drivers? I'm 90% sure everything is up to date on the laptop end of the equation.

The MA detects the Sync but when I click on it it just says connection fails. The Sync requires that you enter a code so I assume this is the reason for the connection failure.

Jan 20, 2013Before I had the Vehicle Navigation Dock, when I turned on navigation and the radio was on, the turn by turn voice went through the car radio. If the radio was off, it played through the phone speaker. Now that I have the dock, if Bluetooth is active, the voice doesn't play at all. I have to turn Bluetooth off in the phone to hear the turn by turn. This isn't optimal because then I can't use the phone over bluetooth. Is there a setting to have the voice always go over the phone speaker?

Aug 13, 2012I was recently given a LG HBS-700 Bluetooth headset which I love but I have been having problems a few times a day with it disconnecting while I listen to music. After it disconnects it will be silent then my music will blare out the phone which I hurridly pause/mute so not to disturb my co-workers and get in trouble with my boss. Sometimes it will re-connect on its own or I manually turn off the headset and turn back on and it will be fine. It maybe happens twice a day. It has even happened while on a call before but not alot which I dont talk alot on the phone. I use it pretty much all day while at work. I have asked LG support about it but they have 'no known issues' and suggested I check with Motorola to see if this phone should be compatible with the headset.

Feb 10, 2012I've had my Bionic for a couple weeks now and love 99% of it. My problem is when I try to use hands free calling with my Clarion CX609 head unit, the microphone does not connect. I hear the call through the speakers as expected but the phone is still using the built in microphone. After the OTA release of 5.9.902 I still don't have connectivity to my external microphone.I had a Blackberry Tour and it connected and worked perfectly fine. I would think my Bionic would work in the same manner only better.

May 28, 2011I get in my car, where my car stereo has already been paired with my droid X2. The phone and the data both connect most of the time on it's own, sometimes I have to go into teh settings and tell it to connect. The main issue is, I will open an application I use to play audiobooks (Ambling) and start an audio book, which works fine. However, 90% of the time when I turn the screen off the phone will then proceed to restart. It will continue this behaviour until I shut down and power back on the phone, at which point everything works just fine. However as soon as leave my car, go into work or the store or whatever, and come back out to my car the chances are high I'll have to go through it again.

Sep 6, 2011My car's bluetooth (2011 Honda Odyssey) was working perfectly with my Droid X (which had "FroYo" 2.2 software). Due to problems with my phone, Verizon had me update to the newest software (2.3, called "Gingerbread"). I now cannot pair the Droid with the car. I have called Verizon and Motorola both, who both stated that the most likely culprit was the car. Honda states that it is compatible with "Gingerbread" on newer phones, but not certain if it is on the original Droid, and Motorola has not sent a sample for Honda to test for the original Droid. What do I do? Is there a fix available here? Should I ask Verizon or Motorola to put the previous version, 2.2 or "FroYo" back on my phone?

Apr 19, 2011Using the Moto H17 headset. When I try to use bt dialing sometimes it understands who I'm trying to dial and sometimes it doesn't. Either way it dials without waiting for confirmation. this has caused many embarrassing moments as I try to explain why I dialed someone I didn't need to call. I hesitate to hang up because I then get a call from the recipient of the errant dialing asking "Did you call me? What did you want?"

If my phone is idle for awhile, I hit button on roadster....nothing! I have to turn my phone screen on.....put in my unlock code, then voice command from roadster works fine again. Once the phone time locks it stops responding. Having to pick up the phone and unlock with code every time I want to make a call kind of defeats the hands free idea. Incoming calls never a problem. This happens even if phone is streaming music the entire time. If I do not first unlock phone it does not respond

Now I have two BT's neither of which I can use. I keep thinking I must be doing something wrong, but damned if I can figure it out. This should be pretty straight forward. I've turned off BT, and the restarted the phone, done multiple Discoveries, multiple retrys at connecting.

Jul 7, 2012Since the upgrade to ICS, my Droid Razr won't connect with the factory installed bluetooth in my 2008 Nissan Sentra. It worked perfectly before the upgrade but now nothing. It pairs and when I call using the steering wheel controls it turns on the phone with the correct person and calls them. However, you can't hear the phone ringing in the speaker and if/when the person answers you can't hear them. I was excited to get the upgrade but my car bluetooth is more important to me. Everything else works great but the bluetooth is a major safety issue for me as I drive a great deal. Does anyone know how to fix this or is there a way to undo the upgrade?

Sep 8, 2011I am running the DROIDX, Android 2.3, on Verizon. For my problem I have coined the term "Ghost Fingers" because the major symptom is my touch screen reacting to input that doesn't exist. I have been unable to link a pattern of occurrence or duration to any combination of external circumstances. Though I have noticed that symptoms seem to flair after hours and the condition in general has been deteriorating. The symptoms occur independently of any apps running. The condition has survived two o.s. updates and a Master Reset (actually forced me to perform said reset). I do not currently have nor have I ever had root access. The summation of the aforementioned conditions has led me to the assumption that the drivers for my touch screen have been compromised and that I need to replace or rewrite that section of the kernel that translates position sensitive capacitive changes into computer commands.
