There are a number of different docks / lapdocs out there for different Moto phones. which ones will line up with the MicroUSB and MicroHDMI. I have been warned that some are backwards and or upside down.I see sales on Atrix HD docks and Bionic lapdocs will they work ?

Slows down so much that few times firefox crshed poping out a message about memory usage. Something that is called " optimus" uses 78% of my atrix memory.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI bought the Lapdock with my Bionic and got it all home let everything get charged up and started to try to use the Lapdock. I get 3-4 Firefox pages up and going and I keep getting a Low Memory error and it wants me to close app's I don't really have many things running but the Bionic indicates that 69% of the memory is in use on the droid and a few percentage for webtop firefox. I can't seem to kill off enough things to keep the error from popping up.

This has happened to me everytime I have tried it. I love the lapdock and would love to reliably be able to use it to view Netflix content, but this issue makes that very difficult.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have found that whenever I try to take a picture, it looks like it worked, but then I click on the image that appears in the corner and it shows the last picture that I took before this one (from over a month ago). The picture never actually saves.
I have tried turning it off, removing the battery, then turning it back on. I have tried deleting old pictures to clear up space (the phone says that I have over 5GB of space). I have tried giving the camera extra time before trying to view the picture.
I have been trying to track down an issue with my Droid X. The GPS function would not see satellites and correctly locate me on any maps. Today I discovered that the GPS will work if I remove the battery cover. When I replace the cover the GPS stops functioning. What can I do to remedy this, besides leaving the door off.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am not at all happy with ICS. To me, the upgrade to ICS is a nothing more than a bunch of pretty colors and a few new animations. In actuality, however, I think that the upgrade delivered little in terms of improvements. In fact, I wish I could undo the upgrade and go back two weeks, to a time in which I felt the Razr Maxx was virtually flawless and was the best phone I ever had.Elsewhere in this owner's forum I have written about the way in which business contact names are now scrambeled in the contact list. Others are having problems with battery life, overheating, poor navigation, etc. However, the biggest failure of the ICS upgrade, as I see it, is the loss of the ability to view Flash encoded videos in either the native browser or in Dolphin.
With all of the hype about the upcoming release of ICS, why didn't anyone warn the customers that Flash would no longer work with ICS and that this upgrade would essentially hobble their device? Motorola did mention this fact buried in a pre-release notification, but it was easily missed:Due to Adobe's discontinuation of Flash development, Flash Player is no longer preloaded and is not available for download from Google Play to this device. Existing installations of Flash Player may or may not play Flash video properly. Alternatively, the new HTML5 standard is supported for Web video.
Recently my Razr Max phone updated to ICS, and since then, all JAVA apps no longer work, even downloaded Chrome and enable java scripting. Brought to Verizon tech support they checked and confirm it was enable but when trying any site that uses java, comes up with message unable to find Java Plugin. Before update, all my websites worked ok with Java, including a Citrix using Java.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo - one of my dumb animals knocked my phone off a table (which they weren't supposed to be on in the first place) and it landed on the table foot (brass) face down and cracked the screen. The crack is down near the bottom (not on main viewing screen). Although the phone still works great, the crack is driving me crazy, and would anticipate it getting bigger at some point. I have the Verizon full replacement warranty, but don't really want a refurb as my BIONIC works perfect and don't want to get one someone returned that wasn't.
Just don't think Verizon will do anything except give me a refurb, and I don't have an upgrade coming for sometime.
Off topic, but does anyone know how the 'points system' works for these forums? I tried looking around and couldn't find an explanation of it anywhere.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Droid X updated yesterday and now the audio no longer works when I make phone calls. The person I call or who calls me cannot hear my end of the conversation. It will only work if my phone is on speaker. Has anyone else experienced this or know a fix? I have taken out the battery to restart it, but that did not fix the problem. Verizon had no solutions besides to send me a refurbished phone replacement.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe last time the display functioned I was starting a play-list for my shower. I adjusted the volume once or twice without lighting the screen, and after drying off stopped the music by removing the speaker jack again without lighting the screen. The device then went into my shirt pocket and I ate dinner then watched a movie but when I tried to do a little surfing before bed the screen wouldn't light up. I had seen it light up the buttons but take a few seconds for the display when the CPU was busy so I waited, nothing happened. I pulled the battery and tried again, nothing on the screen. But then I discovered that the touch sensor was still functioning, I could swipe to unlock and power down in the standard fashion just blind. I have examined the water stickers they are both white with bright red X's.
While writing this question (I am sure many of you already know this fact) I discovered that the display of my device is in fact three distinct functional parts. The capacitive touch screen still in operation on my device, the LCD image generator also still in operation, and the Led illumination source which for lack of a more accurate description is burned out.So my question is how could this occur, is it software or hardware, and what are my recourses?
I am not a big on using a bluetooth device (dont like things haning off my ear) what is a good bluetooth device to use with the D4, also, is a plug in type worth getting.

However, when I connect it to the computer via a USB cable the same password doesn't work. The password is all letters. I do not remember ever entering a password to synch my device before so I can't remember if that is supposed to be the same password. I did try once with caplocks on just to make sure that the password wasn't all caps, but that did not work either. I'm baffled. For my problem I have coined the term "Ghost Fingers" because the major symptom is my touch screen reacting to input that doesn't exist. I have been unable to link a pattern of occurrence or duration to any combination of external circumstances. Though I have noticed that symptoms seem to flair after hours and the condition in general has been deteriorating. The symptoms occur independently of any apps running. The condition has survived two o.s. updates and a Master Reset (actually forced me to perform said reset). I do not currently have nor have I ever had root access. The summation of the aforementioned conditions has led me to the assumption that the drivers for my touch screen have been compromised and that I need to replace or rewrite that section of the kernel that translates position sensitive capacitive changes into computer commands.

GPS problems:
1 - cannot obtain a lock outdoors at all or within a reasonable period using unassisted GPS.
2 - using WiFi assist, gives inaccurate location, off by hundreds of feet to a mile.
The 5800 has the latest firmware, maps software, and maps offered. The GPS receiver would be attached to the car's dashboard.
My device volume buttons (+ - ) doesnīt works. The ringtone it sounds, and the alarm but not whatsappīs or my music. If I touch the + - buttons, appears the ringtone symbol but not the little white squares. I canīt increase or decrease the volume.

Recently when I plugged my Bionic into the USB port to download some photos, I received a device not recognized popup. From day one I have been able to plug this in, and Windows 7 would automatically assign a drive letter and I had access to my SD card. I have downloaded the Motorola Device Manager. From what I can tell, it should appear in the system tray. It does not. I have uninstalled, then reinstalled this program to no avail. Opening the case to remove the SD card to stick it into the card reader on my computer is a major pain.

I have updated my drivers, enabled USB debugging, etc. It works on another Windows 7 computer, but not on my main laptop. No matter what I do, it will not find the Mass Storage drivers. Everything else works great. I have to run in Mass Storage mode to get to some files for a work app.

View 3 Replies View RelatedProblem: My main objective is to use a motorola droid 2 and an ipad to share internet connection. The droid will provide the internet connection to the ipad through bluetooth. I have read in only two places that this is possible, and without any downloaded applications on either side. I can connect the two devices together using bluetooth and they seem to be communicating. The ipad displays the bluetooth sign and the interlocking chain links that indicate data transfer. the droid shows a stable bluetooth connection as well. everything seems to work great right? Well after using the ipad for say a speedtest or two (2mbs or so) using the droids internet connection, a problem occurs on the droid. the 3g data connection to verizon becomes disconnected and the icon disappears. Then the 3g data restarts and the icon reappears, a couple seconds later it disconnects again and the cycle continues in an infinite loop. Meanwhile the ipad is receiving no data through the bluetooth connection. The only way to stop the 3g data cycling is to disconnect the bluetooth link between the two devices, after that the droids 3g connection becomes stable. i have many hypotheses but ill disclose those later. By the way i've looked everywhere for an answer to this and nobody, and i mean nobody seems to ask about this problem. either they don't have this problem or they don't even do this kind of thing. I've factory reset my motorola droid 2 global and done many restarts with no gain. it is unrooted fyi.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Droid Bionic works great except it will not auto-reconnect with my bluetooth earpiece. This is what occured - When I first got the phone, I made it discoverable and it was able to verify my plantronics 245 earpiece; the devices were then paired as expected. However, every subsequent time I activate the bluetooth on my phone and I turn on my earpiece, the device does not automatically reconnect. Oddly enough, when I go to the Bionic bluetooth settings page I see that my earpiece is listed as one of the bluetooth devices but it is showing as "paired but not connected".
The only way I can connect the two devices is by going into the bluetooth settings page and manually selecting the earpiece, and even then, it will still have trouble connecting unless I toggle the earpiece off then on.Is anyone else having this difficulty? And/or does anyone know if Motorola knows about the problem and will be sending out a software update for this issue?
