I have read as many threads as I can find, but I still have this problem. I delete all the Smart Actions and that works for a while, then it comes back again. According to Status, my system is up to date

The best examples of when this might come in handy:In the car, being able to turn media volume up to loud so you can stream music through your stereo and control it entirely through the car stereo. I find mysef always having to find my phone and turn media up on the phone first, so I don't accidentally blow a speaker when I get in the car without the phone connected.At work being able to turn the media volume to mute. This way I can sneak a round of Scramble or Words with Friends in without my cube neighbors hearing the tell tale sounds of the games.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI saw that there was an update to Smart Actions yesterday in the Google Play Store. When I tried to apply the update, I received a message that there was an error downloading the update. I could not get this message to clear, so I tried uninstalling the previous updates and then re-applying the updates. Now, I get the message "Your order is pocessing, your item will be available in a few minutes." I have cleared cache and data for the play store and rebooted my Droid Razr several times, but I cannot cleare this message. Anyone else experiencing issues with applying the latest Smart Actions update?

View 4 Replies View RelatedBeen trying to set up some rules based on recomendations from this vid url...where they suggest using the Smart Action trigger for "Motion Detector" to save battery, and which looks pretty useful!However, I have a UK version of the RAZR and the Motion Detector feature does not seem to be enabled! Why is that? Is there a way of enabling it? Whilst I am on this topic I was also wondering if there is a way to restore the Smart Action Samples, as I managed to delete a couple of them accidentally.

Sure, you can probably find a similar app in the Android Market, but isn't it nicer to find this app on your phone right out of the box?internal clock on the handset and the GPS, you can set your screen to lower the brightness by 20% at a certain time of day, or turn off the sound at a certain location. Not only can this function as a saver (increasing battery life by up to 30% according to Motorola) by turning on and off certain features at specific times or places, you can also use "Smart Actions" to make sure that your favorite website is up on the browser, refreshed and up to date when you get up in the morning. View 6 Replies View RelatedI am not at all happy with ICS. To me, the upgrade to ICS is a nothing more than a bunch of pretty colors and a few new animations. In actuality, however, I think that the upgrade delivered little in terms of improvements. In fact, I wish I could undo the upgrade and go back two weeks, to a time in which I felt the Razr Maxx was virtually flawless and was the best phone I ever had.Elsewhere in this owner's forum I have written about the way in which business contact names are now scrambeled in the contact list. Others are having problems with battery life, overheating, poor navigation, etc. However, the biggest failure of the ICS upgrade, as I see it, is the loss of the ability to view Flash encoded videos in either the native browser or in Dolphin.
With all of the hype about the upcoming release of ICS, why didn't anyone warn the customers that Flash would no longer work with ICS and that this upgrade would essentially hobble their device? Motorola did mention this fact buried in a pre-release notification, but it was easily missed:Due to Adobe's discontinuation of Flash development, Flash Player is no longer preloaded and is not available for download from Google Play to this device. Existing installations of Flash Player may or may not play Flash video properly. Alternatively, the new HTML5 standard is supported for Web video.
Recently my Razr Max phone updated to ICS, and since then, all JAVA apps no longer work, even downloaded Chrome and enable java scripting. Brought to Verizon tech support they checked and confirm it was enable but when trying any site that uses java, comes up with message unable to find Java Plugin. Before update, all my websites worked ok with Java, including a Citrix using Java.

I'm trying to set up the home menu and options for the music player, internet radio, etc.Also, when it attempts to "announce/read" a text message all it says is that the send is "null" and that the message is "test message' everytime no matter the sender or the message.

"Carbon is NOT available to Motorola devices. This is because Motorola phones have a bug that break Android's backup mechanism. Until this is fixed by Motorola, Carbon will not work on those Androids"
i remembered that being a standout feature of our phone, and while at home on wi fi (i have a 15mbps up and down fiber connection) netflix is just not playing back in the same quality that it used to.before i felt like video playback was almost on par with guys running 720p screens with higher ppi's...(rezound/gnex), at least within this particular app. but now? it looks like any other Internet vid with the quality on high (which imo still isnt all that great and still not as good as going to the desktop site and watching a vid set to 720 or 1080).no other phone was ever touted as having this ability (though i'm sure the rezound and gnex can) and a lot of it had to do with the omap processor being used...is something up with ics thats not letting it happen? or was it the most recent netflix update that supports 4.1?

I am using the Razrs text messaging app when I try to delete I get all the correct prompts to delete any message. When I select the last prompt to delete, you go back to the message list. The actual message appears to be deleted but you still see all the people or group you sent to or received from, which makes no sense to me. I have tried deleting and rebooting the device no change.
