Anyone know of a web site that lists Smart Actions that folks have created? Seems to me that this would be a great thing to share. I can see where the Smart Actions app could be very useful.

Before it was constantly running in the background even with no actions on so yesterday I disabled it completely and saw a very noticeable battery increase.does it really happened due to removal of smart actions app ?

The best examples of when this might come in handy:In the car, being able to turn media volume up to loud so you can stream music through your stereo and control it entirely through the car stereo. I find mysef always having to find my phone and turn media up on the phone first, so I don't accidentally blow a speaker when I get in the car without the phone connected.At work being able to turn the media volume to mute. This way I can sneak a round of Scramble or Words with Friends in without my cube neighbors hearing the tell tale sounds of the games.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI saw that there was an update to Smart Actions yesterday in the Google Play Store. When I tried to apply the update, I received a message that there was an error downloading the update. I could not get this message to clear, so I tried uninstalling the previous updates and then re-applying the updates. Now, I get the message "Your order is pocessing, your item will be available in a few minutes." I have cleared cache and data for the play store and rebooted my Droid Razr several times, but I cannot cleare this message. Anyone else experiencing issues with applying the latest Smart Actions update?

View 4 Replies View RelatedBeen trying to set up some rules based on recomendations from this vid url...where they suggest using the Smart Action trigger for "Motion Detector" to save battery, and which looks pretty useful!However, I have a UK version of the RAZR and the Motion Detector feature does not seem to be enabled! Why is that? Is there a way of enabling it? Whilst I am on this topic I was also wondering if there is a way to restore the Smart Action Samples, as I managed to delete a couple of them accidentally.

Sure, you can probably find a similar app in the Android Market, but isn't it nicer to find this app on your phone right out of the box?internal clock on the handset and the GPS, you can set your screen to lower the brightness by 20% at a certain time of day, or turn off the sound at a certain location. View 15 Replies View RelatedSo I noticed that my moto action (approach) stopped working on my phone.
I know some people hate this feature because it seems to wake up the phone unnecessarily, but in terms of impact to battery it's minuscule to none.
I actually like this feature because using the power button to wake up the phone seems rather inconvenient after having gotten used to the approach feature.
The problem is that it suddenly stopped working for me. I know that people are going to ask if I enabled this in the moto actions menu, it's definitely turned on. I rebooted the phone several times with it on and off. None of those measures have worked.
One very minor thing in car mode is that my dialer "Favorites" list is not populated. I do have favorites in the standard (non-car mode) dialer and in the Favorites widget.Is there a setting that I need to change?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just switched from a 2014 Moto X to Droid Turbo this morning. I updated the phone to lollipop and started to set things up how I like them. However, I cannot find the smart lock feature anywhere to set up trusted locations. I did set up my lock screen with a pin.
I googled to make sure this model has smart lock on lollipop and it does. I went through the steps on my moto x to make sure I wasn't missing it on the turbo.
I was curious if you can stream a video from Turbo to a smart TV without Chromecast, like the G3 and Samsung phones?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.

I have selected first name first from the menu in > contacts in both fields but without success. It only changes the "me" profile. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have WiFi enabled. Often when I am near a wireless access point, my RAZR M still uses 4G. It's as if the WiFi is going to sleep when I power the screen off, but it doesn't wake up again. Turning WiFi off and on makes it reconnect.It seems to happen mostly when I'm at home, where I also use the Motorola flip stand with "ESP" smart charger, and a NetGear dual-band wireless router/access point.
