View 5 RepliesI have an iphone 4 with major problems. I cracked the screen and thought it needed a replacement. I took it to a shop, and after they replaced it, since the phone had ios 7, I could easily see that the color scheme changed. Everything seemed too bright, and when I power the phone on or off, the black background is full of light. I tried lowering down the brightness all the way down, but the white colors on the screen were neon like. I also noticed that its much better to see outside, rather than inside, compared to my phone, and other phones.
Also, when using front face camera, the screen has too much reflection, and I can bearly see my self however, it works fine in the back camera. The phone screen looks darker from an angle, and lighter at another angle, which annoys me, because I have to use it at a certain angle when using it. I was wondering, is this normal because the screen is new? Is my screen no longer retina?
For example: The screen looked like this before the replacement. The iTunes icon had a light shade of purple on iTunes. After replacement, screen looked similar to this, but iTunes, messages, and phone icon all look too bright.Â
The iphone does not change the angle of the screen, while I move it form a horizontal to vertical position.

I noticed that whenever I am making/receiving calls, the screen flashes every few seconds. I wonder why it is doing that. I have never seen this on any other phone before. At first I thought it was related only to the silent call issue that the screen flashes every few seconds but even when I am able to make a regular call it still does this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Photon automatically defaults to the dial screen when I press the call button from the home screen. It used to display the last tab used or recent calls if I had missed one. I have scanned through all of the options and can't seem to find an option to change this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I use face unlock, or pattern unlock, when the phone gors to slee, and I press the power button I just get a black screen where the pattern unlock or face unlock feature should. View 3 Replies View Relatedyou can see this is about the motorola photon 4G on sprint. so what happened was i am using my phone and all of the sudden my screen shuts off. Now the screen isnt turning back on. However the phone is working fine. For example my phone was ringing and i imagined the phone screen working and BAM i'm on the phone speaking as if this phone worked at 100%.
View 10 Replies View RelatedAnytime I scroll, the screen flickers and the text is blurred. I used the D7 Google Reader in night mode with white text on black background. While scrolling an article, it is almost unreadable until you stop scrolling. If not, this may cause me to return the phone.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI use my phone with a wired headset (no hang up botton on the headset). This also happens on speaker phone. If I'm on a conversation for several minutes and its time to hang up--I have to unlock and enter my password (required for corporate activesync) then push the end call button. This makes hanging up an awkward process--having to fumble around for several seconds while the other party gets to listen to you doing it. The lock doesn't happen all the time.
But one way for sure to recreate the behavior is to:
1. Set your screen timeout to 15 seconds.
2. Call the phone from another line. Answer phone and put it on speaker phone. Or use wired headset as I do.
3. Wait for screen timeout or just press power button while on the call. Now wake the phone up. The phone may or may not be locked now. But if you now press the Home softkey, the screen will certainly lock....while you are on a call! This means you know have to slide the lock and enter security code just to hang up on someone.
A better practice from a design stand point is that the phone should never lock while you are on a call. What purpose does it serve to lock while on a call? When it locks you can neither hang up, push dial tones, answer call waiting, etc. until you unlock it. This needs to be fixed.
Today after turning my phone back on it got stuck on the 'Now' screen and wouldn't finish powering up. During this time my phone was connected to the network and the phone received messages and rang once but of course I couldn't view the messages or answer the calls. I wasn't able to turn it off either. The only way to fix it was to pull the battery.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using the pattern screen lock since I got my mopho in november. It's been working smoothly until now. I recently decided to change it, so I go to settings put in a new pattern and confirm it no problem. I locked it to try it out and now when I press on the first circle it doesn't light up and it doesn't show a trail behind it. The screen also shuts off in 3 seconds. Now I can't unlock my phone. I'm not running any lockers or launchers just stock android. I searched google and these forums for lock screen bugs but I haven't found anything similar to my situation.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently, i am observing problem with my Photon 4G. Screen turns on automatically and then turns off also !! However, this is observed frequently and thus unnecessarily eating battery.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with my screen. Will not time out even though I go back to settings and redo or change. The screen dims for a moment randomly and then lights full again but will not time out. Also there are a few random times when it seems to loose all touch sensitivity (I cannot unlock!) or if it is unlocked cannot do anything - screen seems to be frozen. And now the proximity sensor doesn't work - the screen is still active once it is up to my ear and it's dailing random numbers while I am trying to talk.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to set my Photon 4g so that the home screen is in landscape mode without having to open the kickstand or use a dock. Is there a simple setting or an app that will let me toggle this behavior? In my case I have a third party car dock and I want to set the home screen to landscape when I dock it and plug in the power connector.

View 1 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is a configuration issue, faulty phone, or known bug, but my Photon's screen does not automatically unlock after pulling the phone away from my head after a phone call. My wife's Nexus goes dark (locks) during a call, and the screen comes back on (unlocks) after her call is complete.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIt rebooted itself once and was fine. Then the screen flashed to a sprint logo and its stuck with the yellow word 'NOW' (like advertisement) on the screen. I've tried plugging in and toggling the power button. I just got this phone and still am figuring it out. Also the notification light is flashing a pink color as well.

View 5 Replies View Relatedhow to activate the full screen keyboard on my photon while I'm using the hd dock? I have a wireless mouse, and I'm waiting for a keyboard but for some reason, I can't figure out how to bring up the full screen keyboard on the actual photon while I'm using the hd dock. I know it can be done because I saw it at the sprint store and I read of others doing it but all the searching I've done hasn't lead me to an answer. To clarify, I'm trying to figure out how to bring the keyboard up on the photon screen so I can type in web top mode until my regular keyboard arrives.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOver the last week I've noticed sudden power loss on my Photon. It will go blank without warning. Plug it in and it will show 0%-10% battery power. Watch the screen and it will sometimes jump back up suddenly. From 10-20% to 100% before my eyes. I'm guessing it's a battery or phone issue. Don't see any other discussions about this. Planning on brining the phone in soon
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone only seems to show full screen video with the top of the video on the volume button sides and the bottom where the charger hooks in. Is this the norm? When I rotate to put the charger on top (aka, so I can charge the battery while doing something so battery draining), nothing happens, the video won't rotate. (This was flash emedded video on a web page.)

Looks like I have 4 home screens and when I get to the end it doesn't scroll to the next page - I have to scroll back. By the way, coming from a 4 year old Samsung LG Rumor phone
When I try playing a game, particularly racing games where you have to hold down a button on the screen, the screen will become unresponsive in the one spot. Then after a second or two it will become responsive again, then unresponsive again. The process repeats the entire game. You can test this by downloading a racing game and then holding down the gas button. I experience the car slowing down or coming to a stop from holding down that one area for long periods of time (usually 30 seconds). After about 2 seconds, the screen will become responsive in that area again and the car will speed back up, but then it will become unresponsive again in just a few seconds..
This problem I have noticed will multiple racing games from different developers. Here are two games I notice it the most in: RacingMoto and Top Truck Free.I also posted over at XDA and someone said it has to do with preventing the screen from coming on in your pocket.I was wondering if Motorola is planning on fixing this because Sprint is marketing this phone as the "Gaming Guru's Weapon of Choice". It's a little hard to become a gamer on this phone if the screen becomes unresponsive.
keeping the screen of my phone on while busy with a call?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got my Photon a couple weeks ago. Not too long after setting it up I started having issues with the screen not completely waking up from sleep. I'll press the power button to turn on the display and unlock the phone, but only the blacklight turns on. So the bottom four buttons light up and there is a slight glow the the main screen. All I have to do to fix the issue is turn off the screen then back on and it works. It's not too inconvienent but I get the feeling this isn't a feature I bought the phone for.
Also important to note when the backlight comes on I can still operate the screen, just blindly. I get haptic feedback and can navigate to certain areas.I've tried a uninstalling certain apps, turning off pocket detection, and ultimately a factory reset. Nothing works.
