It doesn't seem to matter what musiv player I am using but if I am moving around like walking, Music will speed up and slow down and the player will stop for a while and then start up. I thihk the stopping is happening when the Photon is acquiring data. Is there any way to prioritize the player so it wont stop? Does anyone else have an issue with the player speeding up? It doesn't speed up radically, just enough so that the music pitches up about a halt step. As a musician, this is terribly annoying.
I only have the icon for the music player. When i try to open it on the icon it states"Application not installed" My wife just purchased a photon today and her motorola music player version 2.3.4 is installed and up and running perfectly. How can i get this app/version installed properly back on my photon.
The Sprint manual says you can download music via Windows Media Player or MML , but once you load your music via Media Player, if you use then Motorola you will end up with two seperate files that will use your memory. From the Media player you will have a file called Music, and from Motorola you will have a file MML Mobile.
I have just moved from a windows phone and got this photon phone. I listen to music from the web, like 181.fm/mobile. These stations require a windows media player to work. The windows media player is not on my photon phone or in the android market place.
so I have a GB 2.3.4 Atrix 4G, and usually, it plays my music and takes pictures fine. But every so often (it seems everyday), I wind up rebooting after, when trying to player music, it says "sorry, this type of file is not supported," even tho I've been playing them all the time. Also, when this happens, the camera and camcorder also happen to stop working, saying "com.camera.android (or blur)" unexpectedly closed. All my songs are MP3 or MPEG4, and usually all play.
Why is this happening on an update? What can be done to prevent it? Are there apps I need to keep off the "auto-end list?" Does rooting a phone bring this on (via pre-install method)? Or is this a common glitch? I have also complained about the way the music player doesn't have an "all songs" option for the player. Personally, I think a blur 5.0 needs to come out already.
Everytime I use my Amazon Cloud Player on my Photon, the phone freezes up completely after playing a few (~3 ish) songs. The only way to get functionality back is to take the battery out.
I it possible to make a third party music (mixzing) the default music player on my motorola electrify. If not does anyone know if is possible for the music button on the navigation dock to start the second music player
The song title and artist does not display when streaming music from Nokia Music on my Windows Phone through my car stereos' bluetooth connection. It also does not allow me to skip songs using my car stereo.
The Zune music player on my Windows Phone has this functionality.
I just bought this device, love it so far. When I use a Google Voice command like, "play Madonna", it defaults to Sound Picker and doesn't play any songs. I noticed Music app is not even listed as a choice. See pic.
Is there a way to have the stock Music app as one of the choices instead of Sound Picker?
When I go to the music player and select a song to play, I get a message that tells me to plug in my headphones. The issue is that my headphones are plugged in. I didn't have this issue a week ago. I was listening to my music just fine. I have rebooted the device several times already. The weird thing is that I can hear the boot up sounds through my headphones, as well as notifications. I just can't play music. I have the same issue with the FM radio.
Often music from the Music Player skips. This happens on the native Music Player as well as on Amazon Music Player when I listen to music on the device (not the the cloud player).
I've got the Photon after having an Atrix for about 6 months i think this phone is great but I'm having an issue with the Media Link and Itunes, I can sync my playlists and actually see the songs with the music player but any song I try to play it says it can't read the format. I took a look at files info and they are in m4a format, isn't media link supposed to convert them?
if there's a way to keep the music player going in the background while I'm playing a game. I use Google'a music app, was kind of disappointed with the stock music player. Does anyone know if there's a setting somewhere that I'm missing, either in Google music, on the phone, or in the game?
Has any one experienced this, the music app will be playing the music wither in a play list or just an album and the program stops. I do not get a force close prompt nor is the program running. It does not do it with the same songs it is purely random when it decides to stop as far as the music I am playing.
On my iPod I use regular in ear headphones with a 3.5 mm jack, but also have a dongle type thing in line with them so I can control the volume, advance songs, that kind of thing. Is there something for the Motorola phone like that? I have been looking all over. I use my phone while running and want to skip songs sometimes. I tried a few Bluetooth headsets and they allow this function, but none are comfortable or sound all that great.
Yesterday I was listening to music on my Photon using the Google Play Music app and my phone rebooted twice (only while using this app). I am not sure if it is an issue with Google Play Music app or what. I will post this message with Google and see if they can pinpoint the issue as well. But I wanted to know if any other Photon users were experiencing this as well?
am facing problem related to Headphone 3.5mm jack. In my phone this jack in not working. So I am not able to listen music via Headphone. I want to Repair my phone.
I just got the Motorola Photon Q and so far I really like it. It is different navigating than my previous phone, though. I am currently using my old 2 gb sd card and want to get a 16 gb card, but can't figure out how to transfer my music files that I downloaded from Amazon MP3 cloud to my phone. It appears they are stored on internal storage, which I suppose is ok for now, but when I get a new card I want to store them on my larger 16 gb card. I can access them by going to settings, storage, audio, then complete action using files, device storage, and then they are listed as amazonmp3.
Whenever I take a look at my battery usage on my Photon, I always see Music and Media rather high in the list. In fact when I checked just now Media was at 12% and Music was at 11%, 3rd and 4th in the list. (The phone's only been on for about 90 minutes.) Since both of these apps suck, I have other apps that I use for photos (QuickPic) and music (MixZing) and don't bother using the built in apps. It's bad enough that I can't remove these apps, but the fact that they're adding extra drain on the battery adds injury to insult. When I inspect the running apps, for Music I found AmgSyncService running which appears to be part of MotoBlur. Searching the web the only thing I was able to find was a similar question posted on the xdaDevelopers forum. I suspect there is a similar process running for photos as well, but it hasn't shown up in my list of running processes.
Other than manually killing the AmgSyncService process everytime I start the phone, is there any way to disable this process to prevent it from starting up?
Anyone have a problem with music skipping when playing off the Micro SD card? It's random, which eliminates the possibility of a bad file or corruption during the sync, and seems worse when the 4g function is turned on. Interestingly, the Photon is advertised as having 1GB of RAM, but the most I ever have available is 440MB.
When I am trying to sync music from Itunes to my Photon through the Motorola Media Link software I get a error message after all the music files have transfered. The message says that the MLL has stopped working. None of the music ends up on the phone.
I have updated the Motorla Media software and as far as I know my phone is up to date.
The default Motorola music app on the Photon took it upon itself to download the wrong album art for a number of my music tracks (which already had proper cover images to begin with). Is there any way to change the cover art, or delete the bad covers it downloaded?
I know that in the camera there is a setting to save your pictures and videos to either the internal memory or the SD card, how can you save other things to the card instead of the phone or is there even a way to do so? like pictures you save from texts, Zedge, and music files etc...
In recent days I've noticed a rather annoying quirk with the sound from my Photon. If I'm listening to music (Winamp, the stock app, or Pandora) and a notification pops up, I hear the notification sound but afterward the volume of my music drops down a lot. I'll turn the volume up, but as soon as the track changes my ears blow up when the volume level returns to what it was previously
I have been getting error messages on my phone, first with mp3 and now with online videos, that the file type is not supported or cannot be played. Usually a reboot fixes it but not always. Not a consistent problem but once it starts it seems to happen a lot and then mysteriously stop. The second problem is my phone not ringing.Got yelled at for not answering the phone but it never rang. Shows missed calls but not making noise at all, even when I try to preview rings they won't play
When I try to add songs to the playlist, the phones says they add but they don't add in the stock music player. I see them pop up in Google Play though. I have tried deleting the playlists several times and the issue keeps showing up. I would like to use the stock player because the lyrics come up and I can change songs in the lock screen.
i keep having problems on my RAZR with my connected music player and also the other music player apps. the connected mmusic player keeps freezing and closing and takes at minimum 3 tries to get an artist selected an then takes some time to bring up albums or songs, other times does not even bring up the albums or songs. other times it will just start flashing and then the whole home screen and any other screens keep flashing.
when I go into Music and try to search for podcasts or internet radio it doesn't connect. This has been an issue since I've had the phone. I'm connecting via the WiFi when I'm doing this.
I just received my Xoom wi-fi only and while setting it up I received the 3.1 update, which I installed. I had not added any files to my Xoom yet but while I started playing some of the music files that came with the Xoom, the player force closed while I was browsing the music files. It does not close while playing music but only while browsing the music that came with the Xoom. I then added music to the music folder from my PC and it still force closes while browsing my music files. This happends all the time after I play a few music files. I have the music player 3.0 version. A reboot does not help, it does it every time I use the player. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions are welcome. If I install another music player app. will it recognize my music already in my Xoom? And any recommendations on another player? I'm tired of the force closing of the Music player that came with the Xoom.
I have my screen timeout set at 2 minutes. When using the music player, the screen does indeed shut off after 2 minutes, but a minute or so later the music player stops. If I set the screen timout to never timeout, the music player keeps playing. Is this a problem with all Atrix's or just mine? Also, while I have your ear, how do I actually SHUT THE MUSIC PLAYER? I don't mean just pause the music, I mean the off button?
