E-mail mesages seem to be coming in fine BUT I often get the notice "Invalid Server Certificate". What does that indicate and how can I keep that from being the nuisance that it is?
I am a software developer. We develop mobile applications for iOS and Android devices. One device we use to develop and test is a Droid 4. Thus, we installed Motorola Device Manager (MDM).Recently, I tried to install an update to MDM.I got an error message:MDM Installer.pkg was signed with an invalid certificate. This package might not install what you expect. Do you want to continue with the installation anyway? The certificate expired on Wed July 3rd.
I avoid installing all kinds of software but recently upgraded to BBM v7. Since then I have been getting the followin message whenever I connect to WIFI:you are attempting to open a secure connection but the server's certificate chain is invalidCert belongs to *voip.blackberry.comI have tried all the options including saving the cert in my truststore. Still happens.
I've started to receive error message ER01 "invalid certificate". With a red wifi calling symbol in the notification bar... This started 3 days ago.. I can still go online but can't text or call... T-Mobile tried to support but failed...
Lately, when I access email, I get a message"You are attempting to open a secure connection, but the server's certificate is not trusted".I have tried various methods to get rid of this message but so far without success.
I bought the C3-00 a month ago and after several problems like phone attaching to the gprs on its own and firing all my credit, getting stuck for no reason when opening gmail with the gmail application, today I had to remove the battery for the first time trying to find out the security code - which no one set and which is supposedly "12345" by default (only not because it DOESN'T work) - because I wanted to reset it to the factory setting, the phone which two seconds prior that action - removing the battery - was connecting with no problems with my pc wifi now when opening the browser Opera is giving me the title error:
Failed to connect to the internet. "Verification of server certificate failed. Please check the date setting in your device"**bleep**?! I always thought about Nokia as a reliable brand, this phone is a MESS, bugs everywhere, and now this?!
A) I can't factory-rest the damn thing because I don't know the security code, security code which I never set. The supposedly factory code 12345 doesn't work.
B) After removing the battery the wifi is USELESS and the phone doesn't connect to the internet anymore. It goes to the nokia.ovi and the accuweather links and such, but the default browser (so ACTUALLY using internet)?? NO WAY..
I'm working on rolling my own MDM service, and I'm trying to combine the SCEP and MDM payloads as the MDM protocol document from Apple suggests. I created my own SCEP web service in C# .Net and I know that the device can get a valid certificate when I just send the SCEP payload. However when I also include an MDM payload that points to the SCEP payload's UUID via the IdentityCertificateUUID key, I get the following error, "The enrollment server did not provision a valid identity certificate." This configuration is the one that is sent after the user chooses to install the initial enrollment configuration (step 1 of phase 2 in this diagram). The device doesn't appear to even make an attempt at connecting to my server, and thanks to server side logging I know that it never reaches my SCEP web service page. This seems to indicate that there's something wrong with the certificate I use to sign the payload. I've separately tried signing it with my SSL certificate (from a pre trusted root authority), my customer MDM push certificate (chained from our vendor cert), and my self-signed root certificate authority certificate (created via makecert.exe) that the SCEP service uses to issue new certificates (i.e. device identity certificates).I've looked at the output from the iPCU (iPhone Configuration Utility) when I create a profile with both the MDM and SCEP payloads, and it isn't a valid profile (I've even tried copying it nearly wholesale). However when I install the profile via the iPCU the error doesn't come up and it begins the SCEP enrollment process without issue.A side note - using a preexisting MDM vendor is not an option here.Below is the profile I'm using:
I am using a Nokia N97 with the v21 firmware. I am connecting to a mail server via IMAP, using the phone's mail client (not mail for exchange). This has previously worked perfectly, however now I cannot update my inbox and view the emails. When I try to update the inbox, I get a dialogue box that says "Website has sent an untrusted certificate". After choosing "allow permanently", the inbox does not update. The message comes up every time I try to update (even when I've previously chosen "allow permanently".
I can however successfully send emails via the SMTP server using the phone (IMAP for sending is restricted, so have to use SMTP). Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening, and how I can solve it? I've also contacted the IT guys for the mail server, as I'm not sure whether the problem lies with the mail server or the phone, or both.
I did a factory reset because my android system was using about 47% of my battery and now when I try to add my AOL account It tells me invalid credentials. Any ideas? I know the password is correct, and the name. I even changed my password and tried again.
I have 2 Yahoo and 1 Gmail account and I am getting certification errors.I try to re-input my password but get "Invalid Credentials".I try to remove the accounts, but I get "Invalid Credentials" and can't delete the accounts.
I am wondering, as I am trying to transfer pictures, and I am using both Adobe Bridge, Photoshop CS5, Camera RAW, and the Verizon application. None of these are able to pull the pictures from the phone, and it is station that the jpeg format is invalid? I did use the 8MP settingas this phone actually takes decent pictures(at least from the look on the screen) and I would like to use them?

Just purchased the phone and I am unable to install any apps from the Google Play Store. They all come back with the Error. Package file is invalid message. Not sure why since this is a brand new phone with nothing added.
I just received my new Razr Maxx today and when I try to setup my Gmail and Yahoo email accounts I keep getting the message "Invalid Credentials" My passwords have not changed so not sure whats going on.
After the last update (v50) on my nokia xpressmusic 5800 I have no longer access to my internet connection thru WLAN. It shows the error message "Invalid Server Name". My router (DLink WBR1310) uses WEP encryption. How do I solve this problem? Should a hard reset fix this problem?
I just upgraded my Nokia 5800 to the latest firmware and now my WLAN always gives me the 'INvalid Server Name' issue and also my vibration alert has stopped working for all profiles. please HElp.I have tried everything on the other discussion board. It dosent help.
I've had my E72 for a couple of months now and I usually surf facebook and other sites using my wireless internet connection from my home. Today I've tried to get onto it and it will not load any page and keeps saying 'invalid server name'. I've never seen this message. I cannot go to any website, and I've tried several.
I want to use my blackberry to receive my work Outlook mail. However, after typing all the credentials and server name (exordia.co.za) it gives me an error message that read: "Cannot connect to email server or invalid server name". I have made sure that the details are correct. I have contacted my mail service provider and they want me to use notifysync, however that also does not work as it requires a license key that I do not have. They say that they do not support BlackBerry. Should I not be able to receive messages from the exchange server irrelevant if it is supported for Blackberry or not?
Whenever I am trying to connect to WLAN, it got connected but the moment I start browsing, it displays message 'Connection Failed - Access Denied'. Sometimes, it shows 'Invalid Server'. I am really not sure why it is happening as 3G is working fine in my phone.
I am stuck in fastboot after the phone went dead. It says:

I've had my new Droid 4 since June 6. I was able to set up my yahoo email and gmail accounts. However, Cox is my primary...day-to-day...email and I can't get the account to set up correctly. I've followed the manual set up instructions posted ny Motorola and I still get a Server Error message.
I have tried to configure this several times and ways. some messages will remain on the server but most wont. I have to be doing something wrong but danged if I can figure it out. it happens on both my email acct. gmail and yahoo!
