When using my iPhone 4 to do anything like listen to music, watch a video or just using apps, the volume bar disappears from the screen and the sound stops. When I get texts and things sometimes it just vibrates and doesn't make a noise. I know the speakers still work because when I go to the settings and touch the sound bar it makes the test noise to show you how loud it will be.
This problem is the same when using my headphones. I've tried syncing it to my laptop & making sure it has the latest iOS version.
I get no sound from on-board speakers or volume adjustment bar for both Iphone 4 (ringer) and Ipad 3 (sound effects) - both IOS 5.1.1. Apple 'solution' is a complete Itunes system restore. All is fine with headphones. Problem comes and goes. Any easier solution while away from Itunes?Apple have checked Iphone headphone socket and is OK.
I bought this phone yesterday (24.02.2009) and have looked on the Nokia site for help with Voicemail/Volume etc. Just basic things - and I find it is not even listed. Can anyone tell me anything about this phone?
Does anyone know how to set the sound when you receive a voicemail? I cannot get the shine to play a different tune when I receive a new voicemail. What is everyone's thoughts who has an LG shine. I just got one and am not to sure about it. I switched from a Moto Razr.
I cannot here voicemail no matter what I do. Phone volume is at max, I tried to use the speakerphone etc. There is a very faint recording volume that you can hear if it is absolutely quite and you listed to it 2-3 times. Phone is at the latest update. Is there any way to adjust the volume?
I've searched this forum and the internet and can't seem to find a way to set an audio voicemail notification reminder sound to persistently notify me as long as a voicemail remains unheard. Every phone I've ever had "beeps" continually upon a new voicemail until I listened to it. There must be a way of doing this on the Blackberry Curve?? This seems to be an obviously important feature ...
All of a sudden (just today) my torch started playing a ringtone whenever I get a voicemail message. For whatever reason I cannot turn it off! It even does it in "vibrate" mode. When I go to the options menu I get alert sounds for email, level 1, PIN and text. How do I turn off voice mail notification?
I got an iphone 4s in November 2011. Beginning in February, my Visual Voicemail started disappearing from my phone without me deleting it. It has happened 4 times. It does not go into a deleted folder, it is just gone. I started paying attention to the dates of the messages, wondering if it automatically deleted a message after 30 days. But today my messages from April 12 were gone. I can't find anyone else who has this problem! Sprint is my carrier.
I'm using TOYOTA CAMRY year 2008 in THAILAND. The car equipped with build in bluetooth connection. I used to connect it with my E61. The sound quality is very good, it's loud and clear. However, I've just change my phone to E71 last week. When I connect it to my car bluetooth, the sound quality has unacceptable low in volume.
I can hear only whisper trough the car speaker. TOYOTA call center told me that bluetooth set is build in and there is no volume control. Nokia care center told me it may be because functionality of E71 may not be supported by car bluetooth set (sound like repeating my problem).
I had just bought my N900, but I'm surprised that when I playing any mp3 or when assigning a ringetone, the sound output or volume is so low,Comparing with my old one N95. yes it's extremely low..while trying to decrease the volume and mark it to be like 25%, it will be zero sound output.i have downloaded a new media player with equalizer, nothing new, same low volume and i guess it's not related to media player, as if someone dialing me the ring tone also is very low.
I'm having a difficult time hearing people when they call, especially outside. The volume of the call is not very loud. Is it supposed to be like that I have the volume on max. Does the volumes setting in sound settings make any difference in the loudness of the caller? I have xLoud checked in the sound settings.
When I stream music on my touch diamond (using the built in streaming app from htc) the sound volume is way too high compared to when I play mp3 files in the buildt in mediaplayer, even on the phones lowest sound levels. Thats rather annoying, is there anyway to low the volume of the app or get streaming media played in windows mediaplayer or some other app where I can control the volume level?
I got my 5230 today. And when I put music on it, and played the song, it plays extremely soft, even if the volume is on its loudest. There's this button on the headset, when I press it, it plays louder, but only on the left side?? I tried putting in another set of headphones, but the problem remains.
when i listen to my music at 30 or less volume the speakers give muffled sound(some blow from it) and this affect the sound quality. But this doesn't happen when i listen songs in more than 30 volume. Is this problem a common one? Or else i will go to my nearest Nokia Dealer to replace my handset as its in my warranty period! (I cant express that how that sound comes out!) Please guys do tell me whats the problem.. Please reply for my posts also!N82 Just Rocks! V30.0.019 Theres nothing in kudos, but to guide one is a great thing!
Is there any way to disable the "missed call" sound when I have the default volume set? I have some contacts on my list who are set up as Silent for their default, but the phone still chimes when the call is missed.
When my phone is on silent, I am still getting sounds for reminders. Can't I turn that off? In the silent profile, it is set as "play sound" and the "Notification volume" is set to none, yet it's still there, and quite loud.
As the title says, I am looking for a way to change the text alert (for when someone sends you a page), both volume and actual sound used, using an app or smart actions (in much the same way you can change the ringer using smart actions).Unlike most people I want it to get really loud and anoying at night (when I am likly asleep) so it will wake me up.I am also looking for a way to alarm/chip/alert/notify again if I have unheard messages or unviewed pages. Right now there is this blinking LED on the front. That is nice, but it won't wake me up or let me know if I went to the other room for a sec.
I was given my nokia lumia 800 as a Christmas present last year so I've had it 9 months now as up until this problem its been a great phone. Yesterday I went to watch a video and there was no sound, I checked the volume settings, made sure the volume was up to fall and I even reset my phone. If I put my ear the speaker I can just about hear it. If I make a phone call I can hear the other person fine but if I put them on loud speaker I can't so its the speaker on the bottom of the phone.
I bought a Nokia E7 yesterday. My previous phone for E61i. I see that the speaker volume is too low in E7. I have set the volume to max using the volume control but still the volume is too low compared to E61i. I find it difficult to do calls with loud speaker on. I do lot of conf calls and this is very important for me.
I did few video recordings and found that the sound output is sort of metallic.
i just upgraded from V3 to V3i but i don't know how to change the sound setting for the volume key button my old razr , when i close the phone and press the sound key button , it made beep sound.. but now it doens't.can someone help me so that i can have my beeping sound back?
For those few of us who actually use the RAZR to make phone calls, ;-) have you noticed a change in the sound volume of the ear speaker? On mine, it seems to have become quieter, and even with the volume all the way up I can't hear callers as well as before.
I am a newbie who just switched from a Palm. So far I LOVE my Storm except for the media player.I have a question about the volume/sound quality when playing media (specifically music). I used the BB Media Sync to transfer music from i-tunes. I am using the 3.5 jack with quality earphones. Quite frankly, it sounds like ****. The volume is low and the sound quality is horrible. Doesn't compare with my i-pod. Is this to be expected?
I have lost about 90% of the volume coming from my speakers. I can make calls fine, people can hear me and I can hear them. It's purely just the speakers that I cant get any sound out of. I have the ring volume right up and the message volume on high but still it's very very faint coming out of the speakers.
