I get no sound from on-board speakers or volume adjustment bar for both Iphone 4 (ringer) and Ipad 3 (sound effects) - both IOS 5.1.1. Apple 'solution' is a complete Itunes system restore. All is fine with headphones. Problem comes and goes. Any easier solution while away from Itunes?Apple have checked Iphone headphone socket and is OK.

The DX2 doesn't seem to do this out of the box so my guess is Moto just shipped it with a setting for it off. How do I enable it? Kind of annoying to have to pull the phone out and unlock it for every minor volume adjustment.

Can I create sound effects (door bell, alarm clock, etc) on my blackberry then set it on a continuous loop? I want to set the sound effect then hide the blackberry until the service dog finds it while the sound is still going on.Is there an app that does that? or can I load the sound effect and somehow get the sound to be on a continuous loop?I don't want to spend too much time fiddling with this so the easier the solution the better.

My phone got updated to 2.3.5 and sense UI 3 yesterday and I face this problem where I'd be listening to music, playing games and hearing the phone ring when suddenly it would go dumb and I can't hear anything. This happens with no error message or notification. The phone think it's playing media and allows me to adjust the media volume but there's no sound (speaker or earphones). I have to restart the phone every time this happens but the problem keeps happening randomly.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy X10 died on me and I assumed it was the battery so recharged it and when I tried to switch it on I just get the SonyEricsson across the screen and nothing more. I cannot even turn it off again. I connected to PC and although the PC did not recognise it I managed to run a repair on it and got it working again and as far as I can tell it has the latest software. I then reconfigured it and loaded the few Apps I use (DME, Birthday Calendar, TV droid, Notes etc - not a huge App user). It all worked fine for about 2 weeks and then died again. I am about to take it to a service centre but thought I might ask if this could be a known software fault ? I dont want to run another repair on it before knowing really what the problem is (by taking it to service centre I am hoping they can get some idea of the problem before re-installing the software.

When using my iPhone 4 to do anything like listen to music, watch a video or just using apps, the volume bar disappears from the screen and the sound stops. When I get texts and things sometimes it just vibrates and doesn't make a noise. I know the speakers still work because when I go to the settings and touch the sound bar it makes the test noise to show you how loud it will be.
This problem is the same when using my headphones. I've tried syncing it to my laptop & making sure it has the latest iOS version.

I have a 16GB iPhone 4S which is only 11 months old (less than one year) and running iOS 7.1.1. Sometimes the sound gets quiet, especially if i lower the volume in Instagram...
This problem never happened when I was running iOS 6, but it started when I upgraded to iOS 7.0, making the upgrade to iOS 7 something I regret.

I just got the 5s and when placing or receiving a call, the sound is very low. I can barley hear the person on the other end. if I switch it to the speaker I have no problems hearing them. All other sounds, music and tones play fine and I've checked the volume button on the side and the sounds button under settings, everything is turned up to high. Is there any other place on the phone or settings to go to?

Receiving an imcoming call with ear-piece plugged, the sound volume becomes maximum and cannot be adjusted from both ear-piece and iPhone side button.
Playing music, the sound volume is normal and ear-piece and side button are adjustable.

View 14 Replies View RelatedThis is like the 3rd time that my LG G4 lost all volume...seems to happen after a incoming phone call. I can barely hear lock and unlock sounds but everything else is silent. I checked all volume levels and all are at full level. I am baffled here! The last 2 times it happened, the volume just came back to normal on it's own.
I was able to get sound back by rebooting the phone...but this is a big issue! Can't hear calls or texts coming in!

You cannot turn down the volume of notifications without turning down the volume of your call ringtone. It's such a basic thing to do, but I can't figure it out. I decided I'd load a ringtone of Silent or None but Verizon's LGG4 does not have that option, again very poor design. While trying to load another ringtone, I went to settings, apps, sound, and hit the small + sign to load a new ringtone and was greeted with another one of those "Do you want to use this action, or that app, or whatever" and then the option "always" or "Just once" and without thinking I chose "Always" now I can't get to the media browser? I tried to clear defaults but can't find the sound app that controls this? Where is this setting?
